This is the most incredible thing I've ever seen in a painting.
Watch your video all the way through, Every time you add or change a color different figures and faces appear.

This is one of my favorites so far....and I'm typically am not into gold at all, but on this, its perfect!! I not am dying to get a brayer because I LOVE the marks it makes with the paint...love it!!!

Hello Cathy 👋 hope your staying safe and well 🙏 thank you for sharing this journal page it's beautiful I just love the colors if it would be possible I would like to see a video slowed down a little bit or at least a part of one and I love the fact that you used gold leaf and let the black run down some little drips very cool 😎 and I will never toss a old rubber spatula again lol
Hi Linda, I've have many videos, that are slower on my channel. I do one every now and then. It's just that they tend to be to long for most people. ;)
@@CathyMevik thank you I will go back and look for some of them as I just found your videos not to long ago but being in NYS lock down it feels like I have been locked down forever I really can't complain tho I get to go to the dentist office each am for a bit to get the mail and check the answering machine for emergencies thank you again stay safe and be careful 🙏
I work from home @@lindahigham5317, so not noticing too much of a difference here. It's a bit boring at times, but I live in Norway now and there's lots of places where we can move around without too many people around us. My whole family is in NY. Glad, I am not there now. Stay healthy and safe!

Ah thank you Cathy i have quite a bit of metal (gold Leaf) and wasn’t sure how to use it, do,you varnish over it , it’s gorgeous by the way.
Thank you Jean.💙💜🧡 I use matte medium over it, but you could use any kind of varnish. If you use glossy paint, then you might want to use gloss medium and so on. ;)
Oh.. and you could probably use spray varnish over it if you were to do this on a canvas. I didn't do anything to mine tho. 👍

What kind of white do you use? Is it is a brighter white. It looks softer and brighter.
I use regualar white, but I also use gesso.❤️

Hi Carol, This is just a random journal from a german company. It's 12 x12 and has 130gsm paper, so not the best quality, but thats how I like it.

Thank you! 💜 The bottle is a fineline applicator filled with diluted paint.
Do you seal your gold leaf before you paint on it because I heard that it can tarnish from the ammonia, by the way I love this!
I would definitly do so on a canvas painting, but I don't worry to much about that in my journal. 🧡

Please , what brand of gesso are you using? I use Utrecht for my wood panels, but it is so thick.
I use liquarex basics. 💖
It looks like a river with the rays of the sun peeking through! Very inspiring ! I love it very much. So you just stick the gold leaves directly on the paint? No glue needed i guess?.
I did it that way. The medium that is used to make acrylic paint is glue, but you could use matt medium if you wanted to stick it to something clear.

What is the roller that you use? Is it hard or cushioned? Interesting watching you layer the colors in. What was in the container that you were squirting out?
Hi Catherine. Thank you for watching ;) The roller is called a brayer. They are ment for printmaking, but alot of artists use them in their work as well. The bottle is called a fine line applicator. You should find both of them quite easily if you google them.
