Fun fact: Your Relaxing SNES Music compilation is how I first found you. It was one of those random recommendations that caught my eye and I happened to notice the username was "SNESdrunk", and I wondered if that meant you were a SNES-centric channel. You were, and SNES being my favorite console, I felt I had to sub. Now you've got a new curated compilation of radical 16-bit music for us to enjoy and I love it. Thanks a ton, SNESdrunk!
I've watched his content for a while, then kind of fell off the updates. I saw a post earlier this year of his snarky reply to people bitching about his intro on Reddit, and have been watching regularly ever since.
I'm a college teacher and I have been listening to your playlists while I grade my midterms. It reminded me of the life I used to have when I did not have so many reponsibilites. When I do not have time to play my favorite games, I at least listen to their soundtracks. Thanks for the compilation.
@@SNESdrunk You need to do another one of these 3 hour videos and sneak the "SNES drunk" like two thirds of the way into it just to see if you can catch 'em off guard.
Who would have ever thunk it that Winter Gold has one of baddest tracks on the SNES (that and freaking Waterworld on SNES Drunk's "relaxing" mix #2, called "Diving"). Love ur content Mr. D!
Your channel does everything retro gaming related without feeling like you are TRYING to do everything retro gaming related. I genuinely love the vibe of your content!
@goggles789 He's just saying that this channel's content is more natural and passionate than many other channels that do retro stuff simply because it gets views.
This is incredible. I was listening to the songs while working, and although there are several games I played as a child, it was the totally unexpected Aero Fighters (Sonic Wings) song that got me very emotional. I can't explain, it just unlocked lots of memories I didn't know I still had. The realization of getting old, and missing the golden childhood days that will never come back. I felt this was quite an experience, thank you.
The best part of these compilations is the variety. One moment I get hit with nostalgia by Super Bomberman, Top Gear and Mega Man X, the next I'm awestruck with Astro Go! Go!, Dolucky no Puzzle and Kaizou Choujin Shubibinman. Heck, I would never hear FIFA International Soccer's title otherwise, and I would be missing out big time. Thank you very much, SNES Drunk. I hope you have a great rest of your day (and rest of quarantine, while we're at it =P)!
CrashVivaldi I know Mystic Quest gets hated on a lot but had it as a kid and love this game because of the nostalgic value it has for me! Play that game A LOT!
The only gripe I have with it is that I thought it was a sequel to Deiken Densetsu 1/ Final Fantasy Adventure on Game Boy. Over here that game was called "Mystic Quest". So I was really disappointed when I bought it. If you judge it on its own the game does its job well - introducing newcomers to the RPG mechanics.
@@LockeNarshe The worst thing about Mystic Quest was that the final boss was entirely luck based. If you got bad RNG you just lost no matter what you did. (and I don't say that lightly being a big fan of roguelikes/lites)
Every time I hear a TNMT Turtles in Time song I get so pumped remembering having such fun as a kid with friends and going to TNMT-themed birthday parties and such. Playing the game at Pizza Hut arcades, and renting the SNES game repeatedly from the Blockbuster after school. Simpler times, haha.
TMNT IV is one of my favorite games and soundtracks for the SNES. I enjoy replaying it every so often and I just never get tired of it. Happy to see it made this list!
Listening to this while writing helps me focus well. I like how you were able to update some of the other music thumbnails to just a sequence. It helps with which one I listened to last.
Man it has been too long since u have uploaded one of these compilations. Some your music compilations are some of my most listened to things on youtube !
Thank you SNES Drunk, these bring to the fore some great listenable songs (to work to, relax to, whatever) all saturated with Nostalgia, and the biggest difference from other UA-cam uploads, is it's not just "the best of", which end up being overly played stuff like Zelda, Ninja Turtles, etc. etc. you've found songs that are musically good to listen to or at least fit the vibe of the category you chose, rather than just remember the song just because the game itself was good.
I always look forward to your videos, especially the long music ones. Thank you so much and please keep doing what you do! The snes is the best console ever made
The ones from UN squadron took me a couple listens to warm up to but I really like them a lot! Your version of America from Aero Fighters is the best version I've been able to find on youtube, it's great! Thanks

I love how Winter Gold cutting over to Bomberman 3 works so well. I didn't grow up with either of those games so I only know those songs from this video. For the longest time I didn't even realize they were two different songs. I just thought it was one unit of banger.
Been accumulating songs for a few months, but I knocked this whole thing out in a few hours yesterday. (Then I realized there was a big mistake in the editing, took about an hour to fix that, then re-upload it)

I'm impressed how you've actually played more than a few games before making a playlist. Because I see way too many "tops" that have tons of titles from the same game while the SNES had hundreds of games.
I appreciate this. The music never stood out to me back then but hearing like this makes a huge difference. Loving that Earth Bound "City Bus Ride" beat. The second Earth Bound beat was good as well.
Damn I love that Foreman For Real track. The first time I heard it, it blew me away. From song number 1 I know this is going to be an amazing collection. I am also honored to be like 1,000 :D.
This and the relaxing vids are great for the gym. Help keep you focused and grounded, just also pumped at the same time! SNES was my first console, and I love it so... Where my fellow SNES babies at???

I love how Winter Gold cutting over to Bomberman 3 works so well. I didn't grow up with either of those games so I only know those songs from this video. For the longest time I didn't even realize they were two different songs. I just thought it was one unit of banger.
Wow, thank you. This is fantastic. How much time did you dedicated to all of this. Three hours wow. Kudos SNES drunk.
Been accumulating songs for a few months, but I knocked this whole thing out in a few hours yesterday. (Then I realized there was a big mistake in the editing, took about an hour to fix that, then re-upload it)
Honestly I was vibing on the first song lol

Tim Follin is such a good composer
I was just about to start studying but I had this song in my head that I couldn't remember which one it was, I just knew it is some snes song, so I looked for a long mix of upbeat snes songs to help me study and when [27:18] Kirby Super Star, "Gourmet Race" hit I remembered that this is why I started this video .... thanks for helping me focus for 3hrs while studying with this create mix
I'm impressed how you've actually played more than a few games before making a playlist. Because I see way too many "tops" that have tons of titles from the same game while the SNES had hundreds of games.
Hyperzone 1 is absolutely awesome, I don’t think I ever heard it playing through Kirby DL3 as a child!
You time stamped them all, bless you.
I appreciate this. The music never stood out to me back then but hearing like this makes a huge difference. Loving that Earth Bound "City Bus Ride" beat. The second Earth Bound beat was good as well.
Perfect workout playlist. Thanks!!!
Damn I love that Foreman For Real track. The first time I heard it, it blew me away. From song number 1 I know this is going to be an amazing collection. I am also honored to be like 1,000 :D.
Great song list. Thank you for not making it all boss music. I also have another hidden gem for you - Temple from Gods OST
Just what I needed to get through the rest of my work day, thanks SNES drunk & his Discord Krew !
This and the relaxing vids are great for the gym. Help keep you focused and grounded, just also pumped at the same time! SNES was my first console, and I love it so... Where my fellow SNES babies at???
actrasier - fillmore is such a banger, just wow. tons of covers with under just a thousand views, unbelieveable.
This compilation is great. I am the opposite of a talented mechanic. But with the upbeat-snes-sounds on... I feel like I can achieve anything.
This playlist gets me going when I’m typing out prescriptions on a computer. Go beast mode all day
I was behind at work and really needed to get shit done this afternoon, thanks for providing this amazing playlist! I got my work done in record time!
I’ve been following your channel for over a year now, and just wanted to say thank you for for all the great content you post. You have impacted my life in a positive way. Cheers drunk.
Thank you for watching Phillip
24:11 Dolucky no Puzzle Tour '94, "Final Battle"
The quality sounds very good. I wouldn't think it'd be an snes track.
No offence intended Mr Drunk, but this is so much better than I expected.
The Turtles in Time soundtrack is one of my all time favorites.
