Hello you play very good. I’m taking your beginners course in acoustic guitar. I’m have a problem seeing how your D fingers are positioned. Thank you so so much for being here you have taught me a lot in such a short time 🤘🏻😊
You use your index finger for the g string, middle finger for the high E string, and your ring finger for the b string. It’s a strange shape at first but try holding the chord for a couple minutes then letting it go then hold it again in order to establish muscle memory, and remember that with the D chord you only play the bottom 4 strings :) keep rocking buddy 👍

Yeah D is hard one. I had almost as much trouble with that one as with the F barre chord. Took me probably a month to build up the strength, dexterity, and flexibility in my middle finger to get it to both bend and press down while still stretching my ring finger to the next fret, and also bringing my thumb over the top to mute the low E. Just devote a few mins every day to holding it and you'll get it.

It's always everything at 12 o clock, with the gain around 2 o clock. Everything else tonw wise is from the guitar I use, volume on the guitar, and the way it's played 🎸
@Andy Guitar, thank you very much for this lesson ! The "sweep picking idea" for the lick which goes over three strings did not only resolve my principal problem in this solo but also the one in "La Grange" by ZZ Top where is a very similar section (the first right on the beginning) two times. You are a great teacher because you are aware of the difficulties !
