    It’s so true- the more my skin has healed, the less I feel the need to use acids and actives often. My skin actually seems to be better for it, and I feel like the sunscreen piece is doing what I wanted those acids to do anyway... prevention is key!

    Is there a topical antifungal cream specifically for fungal acne around the lips? My daughter has this, and we've been putting vaseline on it. Gets a little better, but it doesn't heal. As soon as she doesn't put vaseline, it gets worse 😢

    Can I ask if its necessary to use Salicylic acid? Thnx :(

    • @Brookesbeautybazaar
      @Brookesbeautybazaar  3 роки тому

      The Salicylic Acid is used to actually treat the Malassezia- so for me it is necessary. However, you can use other ingredients as well. I just find that Salicylic Acid is widely available and has worked the best for me personally!

    Hi Brooke, I noticed that Paula's Choice Sunscreen has UV absorber esters - that are FA safe but it also has Bran Extract which is an amino acid and Hydrogenated Lecithin is also present which is a Fatty Acid. Lecithin has been the hidden secret ingredient that was giving me FA from my otherwise safe BB cream! Lecithin is definitely a FA feeder, at least in my opinion. I wanted to try out Paula's Choice Sunscreen but the ingredients don't look as safe, especially if you layer it with a moisturiser which has glycerin in it. Please share your thoughts. Thanks in advance :))

    Thanks for another great video! Have you tried incorporating K-beauty products into your FA safe routine? I’ve discovered several affordable FA safe K-beauty skincare options that work great with my skin...Also, Curology has a good prescription combination with Zinc pyrithione and Azaleic acid that also helps!

    • @Brookesbeautybazaar

    • @Ezbpete
      @Ezbpete 3 роки тому

      @@Brookesbeautybazaar I’ve tried a few different lines and have incorporated several products into my daily routine. The I’m From line has some great FA safe products. I currently use their I’m From Mugwort Essence and their I’m From Vitamin Tree Water Gel, and occasionally use their I’m From Mugwort mask. I really like the Etude House Soon Jung ph 5.5 Relief Toner (it’s purely hydrating and soothing). I like the CosRX BHA Power Essence, CosRx Snail Mucin Essence, and the CosRx HA Power Essence. The Benton Aloe and Propolis Soothing gel is also nice. Etude House Soon Jung line also makes a nice FA safe cleanser - the ph 6.5 whip cleanser...That’s a lot, I know, but these k-beauty skincare products work really well with my skin type.😊

      When I got diagnosed with HSV 2 it was hell for me, had the worst days, Mental breakdown, crying not eating or sleeping either. I was restless looking for alternatives to get rid of this virus in my system. not until I stumbled upon a video on UA-cam about Dr. Aloha’s Herbal Medication and how effective they are. I reached out to him through his email: Alohaherbalhome@gmail.com and followed the instructions given on how to use the Herbal Medication. To my greatest surprise. it worked perfectly and today makes it a month and two weeks of testing Negative for HSV 2 after making use of his Organic Herbal Medication. It’s so amazing regaining my health back to normal and ridding my body of Herpes. • @Brookesbeautybazaar
      @Brookesbeautybazaar  3 роки тому +1

      It probably won't hurt, just be sure you're using a great moisturizer as well! If your skin starts to feel too flaky and dry or anything, just pull back some or think of investing in a cleanser without SA. :)

    • @Brookesbeautybazaar
      @Brookesbeautybazaar  3 роки тому

      Hi Donna! I don't use the Nizoral shampoo treatment- but I would just recommend that you don't go overboard with treatments! Knowing my skin, using that treatment and stridex pads daily would be overkill and dry me out too much. However, you could definitely alternate using them. I think simplicity is key when you're trying to clear your skin up!

      Most "active ingredients" or "treatments" are going to be somewhat drying by nature - they are designed to exfoliate your skin. Just use sparingly, moisturize well, and you should be ok!

      Don't worry Asma, there are plenty of other fungal acne safe products you could get your hands on, this was just a basic/general routine example! Here are some alternatives that you can get at boots or online in the UK easily.
      I know you'd be able to get the sunscreen I recommended via this link if you're in the UK: rstyle.me/+ufebN8ba1bUdH3-auSmcUQ
      I don't see the exact moisturizer, but this one would be a fungal acne safe option you can get at Boots

      Double check your ingredients, but the Clearasil Rapid Action Pads are also available in Boots and would be a good dupe for the Stridex pads
