I am actually genuinely surprised about the quality of the images from the 2a and the night shots (especially the video) kind of exceeded anything I would have expected... hat's off to nothing

Remember this is nothings 2024 phone being compared to pixel 2023 phone. Hence for the price of nothing 2a you can actually get thr pixel 7 and is a mucb better phone. If you want to compare prices you compare the 2a to he pixel 7. But if you want to compare 2a to a pixel "a" series it should be compared to the upcoming 2024 pixel 8a.
For the price, the 2a is doing a fantastic job. I almost prefer the pictures in most scenarios. The shadow detail is amazing. The video isn't on par with pixel but this is only nothing's 3rd phone ever!! Definitely very impressive.
Don't forget, this is the first version of the software for the p2a while the 7a has had so many updates. So far im impressed.

@@karlopasaoa7409Post processing is software. So yeah it does. It alao can make it worse intentionally or not. This happened to my p7p half a year after release. I remember one update just made overall quality both in photos and videos worse. Like a lot. They didn't fix anything since. Take this with grain of salt. But i remember certain update with camera update made camera dog water compared to what it was before. I didn't see anyone in media mention that at the time, so maybe I'm delusional or it's Indeed done to make next phone look a lot better in comparisons.

Low light snaps with considerably low, if not no, noise... so much better than what we were getting in this price segment just a year ago.

Most reviewers don't do updated comparisons of OnePlus camera vs Pixel camera.
But this is a nothings newest phone of 2024 compared to last gen of pixel. Hence for the price of nothing 2a you can actually get a pixel 7 which is much better. If you want to compare nothing 2a to the A series of pixel should be the one coming out this year too, pixel 8a.

Honestly for daylight photos, most phone cameras do just great. To the point of where it would be difficult even to really tell a difference.

I like the night photo of the nothing phone 2a. Personal preference. The NP2a really captures the neon lights perfectly. I like the light glare. Though pixel phones uses lense that reduces those glare but i m not a fan of those as it looks like edited copy-paste lights.
Awesome comparison, congrats. Cameras, UFS 3.1 pixel, everything else NP2a, specially battery, temps, screen bezels, finger print scanner, etc. I prefer NP2a selfies, btw.

In my opinion, Nothing's color interpretation algorithm wants to resemble Apple's, which is not a bad thing (although I think it is light years away from it, not to mention compatibility on social media apps). Great mid-range imo, but I still prefer Google. Still, for this price I think we consumers are the ones who win since we have more to choose from :)

For how long do you have this phone? Did you encounter any build quality issues? Like for example some people complaining they are getting a dust particles inside of camera lens. Did you notice any?

Both have jitters on video recording, so optimization is needed
In pixel, light is controlled perfectly but some scenarios, little bit colours are washed out.
In nothing, colour accuracy need to be improved and low light conditions 2a takes nice pics.
Skin colour in low light condition, 2a takes good pics but edge detection need to be improved.

From first 3-4 comparisons the nothing phone has clicked some impressive pics with good details compared to 7a considering the price of both devices, i'm definitely thinking to get one.

Ambos terminales son excelentes, contrario a lo que muchos haters podrán hablar sobre el teléfono, está propuesta de Carl Pei para la gama media baja me parece más que aceptable y es qué con solo mirar la puesta de Sol te das cuenta de que al Pixel 7a le cuesta hacer una buena captura. Hubiese aceptado grabación de vídeo a 4k @30 fps en el Nothing Phone y no lo pudieron implementar en este dispositivo móvil.
It's never really about good shots but more about how fast it snapped it and how good it felt. Shutter lag isn't great so I do wonder when reveiwers will start thinking about that, and showing it on camera because they never do. Sadly.

To be honest. I like the nothing phone camera at night.
Nothing phone 2a price 350$ its a winner absolutely
In many of the shots Nothing looked better than pixel both in day and night with main camera. The Selfies were Equally good on both phone. Pixel only advantage looked like the wide angle camera. Nothing did a great job with the main sensor.
Based on the selfie, I find Nothing Phone 2a to have better face detection. It has better sharpness.. the 2a really has some sort of PDAF in their front cam. Even on front video. But the back camera Pixel did well overall. I'm surprised how 2a performed almost neck on neck.

For a $350 phone, it is doing VERY good. I would take this one over any BBK phones or Samsung phones within the same range.
It's a pity nothing 2a isn't smaller. Ex. 6/6.1 inch.

Knowing you can't zoom in while taking video with N2A breaks my heart.
Those night shots and selfies at night are destroying the pixel phone, wow (I have a pixel 8 pro and I really prefer how detailed it feels on a selfie on a nothing phone and some night shots are way better balanced than pixel)
I own a pixel 7a, have owned pixels since the pixel 2. My impression is pixels are a bit over aggressive with the HDR and the brightness and shadow sliders are next to useless as the processing overrides these exposure tweaks
@@marksouthwell4490 I hate how sharp pixel makes people's faces almost all the time, it's a rare occasion when person will look actually like a human, noticed that with a samsung a bit now in most people's test, but is definitely better. Definitely should say that faces became better on 8 comparably to 6, also with updates pixel 4a that I still have in a drawer, looks exactly the same to 6 funny enough

It was speech enhancement. When you turn it on all the wind noise will be gone like magic... Dont believe me then search in UA-cam about this feature
I prefer daylight pictures on Pixel's main camera BUT I think Nothing 2a is better in night condition.
Ultrawide is much better in 2a at all times and also the video in all the cameras. I think video stabilization is better in Pixel at night

Samsung produces more saturated colors than pixel. Pixel produces the close to natural colours bro even iPhone cant produce that kind of close natural colours.. go and check reviews of MKBHD
@@nilothpalmajhi3374 Bro I have pixel..I know it highlights sky blue and red color. Rest it's very close to Samsung photos and has a bad battery. iPhone photos are not for me as other than clarity I don't like their color science. Iphones videos are top of the class though.

There's too many hardware drawbacks (Tensor G2) and software limitations of the Pixel 7a that the Nothing 2a feels like no brainer to me.

Nothing is best at this price range
Ultrawide definetly goes to the pixel atleast for the night shots, main during the day is fine on both and at night pixel seems to be more consistent with handling highlights and havin more sharpness even on the 2x zoom, but its pretty minor and the 2a aint far behind .
Overall i would pick the 2a , put a gcam mode and be perfectly happy with it !

Pixel is clearer, but not realistic, in some photo it like his hair has dye in it. His jacket zipper is darker with his hair. It's like a non realistic filter, which you could add in post. Nothing is my choice over pixel. more realistic. And for the price and for the length of time compared to Google. Wow. Anything else can be added in updates, the ultra wide zoom to whatever can be added in updates. Even the content creator chooses the nothing phone at points in the video. Any who, 12gb ram standard with more storage standard. Get a gimbal and some lighting, mic and this phone will be even better. Larger battery life and adjustable screen which is brighter than pixel 7a. No brainer.

hi all, i just get a shorts here complainting about pixel series issue, is about the bad network and signal issue, is it still the fact for pixel series at this moment?
one more question, i do have hands on in retail shop but i am unable to test much on video recording, did nothing phone have hdr effect in videos? (ultra HDR effect)
