How are REESE'S peanut butter cups made?
REESE'S peanut butter cups begin with roasting fresh peanuts for REESE'S one-of-a-kind peanut butter. The peanut butter and milk chocolate are then dropped and pressed into a mold that gives REESE'S cups their iconic shape.
When were REESE'S cups invented?
REESE'S peanut butter cups were created by Harry Burnett (H.B.) Reese in 1928. H.B. Reese was a former employee of the Hershey Chocolate Company when he invented REESE'S peanut butter chocolate candy.

The worst part of this video isn’t the fact that 80% of this video ISN’T about making Reese’s Cups, it’s the fact that they didn’t even show the manufacturing process of the actual cups themselves. It was literally the only thing I wanted to know. Thank you UA-cam, for removing the dislike button, keeping me from seeing that this video was not going to answer my question at all.

No clue. I tried drizzling peanut butter down a funnel but fully formed chocolate peanut butter cups did not appear like in the video…why am I doing wrong. /s
Many people ask how it's made: we've used silicone cupcakes molds to pour fine layer of melted DARK chocolate, put it in the fridge, made the filling with pure peanut butter (only peanuts, no added sugars/oils/salt), powdered sugar, pinch of salt and vanilla liquid extract, added small amount into the made "shells", covered with liquid dark chocolate and left in the fridge until they solidified. Better than the ones from factory, as you can dose the sugar amount yourself!

Not gonna lie, I feel a little betrayed here... They started it out with a long clip of peanut harvesting, so I thought we were gonna get the entire process from scratch. Instead they sped through it in a matter of moments just to get me to watch this Willy Wonka ripoff guy. Don't get me wrong, watching a chocolatier work is fascinating, but not at all the reason I was watching this video.

I will never eat another Reese cup in my life, they were my absolute FAVORITE candy almost my entire life and now I can’t stand them I swear somewhere in the last 2-3 years they have degraded their chocolate quality, it’s happening to every company because the cacao bean supply is getting smaller and smaller each year, every time I eat one I’m just disappointed now, the chocolate tastes like super low grade chocolate now it’s not smooth and creamy anymore it’s like way too rich I don’t even know how to explain it, and I swear the thing I used to enjoy about it was the way the chocolate snapped when you bit into it, it was clean and crisp, which a clean and crisp snap Is actually a sign of good chocolate it’s something about the crystals that build up in it look it up, and they just don’t feel the same now, something has most definitely changed and I’m not the only one that thinks this their are entire forums I’ve found about it that didn’t pop up until the past 2-3 years
