Clay is just a beast. I won't be surprised if he can pull 140mph serves back to back. Amazing level from both of these gents, playing some incredible tennis. Hope to see Cassius more on your channel and just in general. Thank you Winston as always for the super solid content and hope to see you in more games on your channel as well...with your level going noticeably higher, would love to see you go against some 5.0s for sure. Cheers, M
Cassius grunts are way after hitting the ball. In some points I felt Clay was even a bit annoyed about that. The “come ons” were a bit exaggerated as well but I’ll give the benefit of the doubt since I cannot assure Clay was annoyed and maybe it’s some video delay that gives the impression that Cassius grunts were after the hit. Great game either way, very high level.
Love Clay's game style. An onslaught of destruction constantly coming into a net with a monster serve. The game style I play with less consistency unfortunately
Awesome high level tennis from both players. You can see Clay has got the talent and experience, but sometimes the body just can't compete with someone much younger. Overall excellent match!
Great match ! Just one point: I found it a little annoying that Cassius grunts WAY after hitting the ball, IMO in real tournaments, can be considered as hindrance
Dude you have to bring on Ivan to play Clay, both guys have gargantuan serves and it would be an amazing match. This match was amazing also, just seems like Clay isn’t in match shape and looks like he hadn’t played many matches recently! Because he usually doesn’t make easy unforced errors and started hitting with more topspin than he usually hits with. Thank you Clay, Cassius, Winston for making this match happen! This is the second best tennis channel on YT, behind my tennis comedy channel. Just jokes! You rock my dude !
Great match. Felt like I was watching a 1st round US Open match from the 90s on USA network. The only thing missing was commentary by Ted Robinson and Barry MacKay!
This is such a crazy video to see for me, I was just watching Cassius play at NEWKS a month ago give or take a few weeks and now I see him play on your channel, life is crazy.
This just goes to show how important fitness is in tennis. If Clay had equal stamina to his opponent, I think he would have won comfortably. Clearly he hasn't been playing intense sets and couldn't keep up with the younger guy who seemed pretty fresh the whole match.
Cassius clearly wanted it bad. His fighting spirit will take him far, but I hope he learns that yelling at the top of your lungs at your opponent's unforced errors is not cool.
@@megowopwop8545 the first two were hooks -- I slowed down the 16:00 and it looks like it bounces just long. At full speed it looks like a HUGE hook but I don't think it is!
Wow, very high-level match on your channel Winston. Clay is such a cool guy and has a big game. Cassius really impressed me with his returns and passing shots.
While Grandpa Clay got a little tanked his serves were stinging like a bee. However not efficient enough to take on the butterfly dancing of Cassius! Good match!
I saw 1 bad call from Clay, but you're right, way more from the younger guy. Everytime I play someone who "screams", I know they will call anything of mine close out.
Crazy that their names together were Cassius Clay lol. Clay needs to be more agressive on the forehand and take it to him. The other guy was very solid but was mostly just making balls. He brought Clay into his game and of course he got tired. Clay has way more power than him, should've used it more.
@@WinstonDu will do my dude! I just hit the scratch off so I can throw some scratch towards the cause! You like how I got the scratch in there twice ! Hahe
Both solid players. Think the UTRs are very similiar here and the match could have went anyway. Is there a reason why Govind and Karue arent in this?. Do they not pertain to what qualifies?
Clay explained the appeal of celebratory screaming pretty well, but celebrating after your opponent screws up is just disrespectful. Didn't seem like Clay cared, but it still makes you look bad to congratulate yourself after your opponent wins the point for you.
I think maybe move camera 1.5 feet higher. Tough to see play along opposing baseline. Cassius hung tough, made Clay play an extra ball 5-6 times and it paid off.
@@WinstonDu it’s a Wilson pro stock racket that has the same mold (IIRC) as the blade. But it does play different from what I’ve heard. Genuinely I have no idea how you’d be able to tell just by visual.
It actually may be a Blade Pro (H22), these have glossy paint. Standard Blade have more matt finish. The one on video looks glossy to me. Blade Pro and Blade play totally different. Blade Pro has much more weight in the hoop, therefore it's harder to swing but more powerful, more stable.
@@emorypaine1664 It doesn't have the same mold. It is boxy throughout the whole beam at 22mm. It was made for Djokovic when he switched to Wilson. So it is to feel and play like an older Radical.
