The 12 principles of animation are a great primer for manually-created animations, be they 2D or 3D I don't know how that would play into procedural animation, but hey, that's why I'm interested in _Synthetic Selection_
This animation means a lot.. The ASD cat didnt show much when the other tried to play with, but that doesnt mean he didnt like the ADHD cat. The ADHD cat have been patient and caring enough to get ASD cat's total confidence. Thats very cute
Hi CDara!! Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I am so happy you like the animation. You're absolutely right, the ASD cat's initial reservedness doesn't necessarily mean they don't like the ADHD cat. The key point is that the ADHD cat doesn't give up on the ASD cat, showing patience and care until earning their trust. Take good care, and sending virtual hugs your way! 😺💖
Hey @lilicat9687, thanks for sharing! It's great to hear that the episode resonates with you. Your description of your brain cells communicating all day is both relatable and amusing. I'm glad you found a connection with the characters. All the best! 💖✌
@primotef8863 Helps you keep balance to write stuff down. Might feel silly at first, but writing things down and trying to pace your brain helps ADHD a loooooot... nothing wrong with writing things down to keep track, but there's a lot wrong with forgetting stuff... ALL THE TIME.
God, I hate how accurate this is. When I talk with my friends, I NEED them to react or comment to what I say, or else I am physically unable to continue with what I was talking about until they ask me to continue.
Dear Radiance, It's great to hear that you resonate with the personality of this character. Here's a fun fact: sometimes I freeze just like the other character. There are moments when someone talks to me for ten minutes, and the last two minutes seem to vanish from my memory. Then, as they look at me expectantly, I suddenly snap back to attention. I realize I need to respond, but it's like I've missed a part of the conversation. It's a bit like waking up from a daydream! I've learned to be more aware of these moments, and it's made a big difference in my interactions. ✌😺
I have Autism and I also feel the same. I'm tired of talking to my "friends" (I hate them now they're not real friends, especially my exes with "adhd") just for them to ignore me. I don't care if they're shy or dont know what to say, just saying "yeah", "okay", or changing the topic entirely is enough for me because i also change the topic randomly when i ramble for hours. :)
I’m like that and I’m autistic, not adhd Or at least I don’t think adhd? I match up a bit, mostly in the hyperactive ways I frequently ask my friends what they think of something I show them but they don’t react much to
Hi Angnin, thanks for your comment! Regarding the still character, they're depicted with autistic inertia. This means that while they may desire to express themselves and share their feelings, they often appear outwardly 'frozen' or unresponsive. Despite this external appearance, they possess a vibrant and rich inner world, full of thoughts and emotions waiting to be expressed. 💖😸
@@PixiGags I haven't been diagnosed as autistic, but my older brother is. However, that description you just gave describes me on a 1:1 scale. I might have to go see if I also have it, I've been told my whole life that I'm "normal" so it would be really shocking to find out that I'm not.
@@PixiGagssaying that i think i have ASD and ADHD, i know i have ADHD but my mind is also pretty full of thoughts and emotions, and i also have anxiety...
I see this in my mixed ASD classroom all the time. Hyperactive friend plays next to hyperfocused friend waiting patiently until they are ready for contact. Nothing sweeter than witnessing an ADHD child learn to calm themselves for their ASD friend, and vice versa an ASD friend learning to embrace the chaos for their ADHD friend.
I'll always remember one of my Grandfather's wisdoms, though I can't remember exactly how he puts it... "Just because someone isn't engaging with you, doesn't mean they dislike you."
Hi Mr. Bones, That quote from your grandfather is truly profound! It reflects wisdom and insight that can only come from a lifetime of experience. It seems like he was not only a mentor but also a remarkable individual to have in your life. Thanks for sharing such valuable words of wisdom. ☘💖
That is very true. One of my autistic nonverbal grandsons very rarely engages with people, but once in a while, when I make kissy noises at him, he will roll his eyes and either let me kiss his head, or else he will hold out the back of his hand for me to kiss. 🤣❤️ I love him so much!
Headcannon: ASD cat DOESN'T ignore/register ADHD cat's actions. They are fully aware. They just didn't get the social cue to play/react towards them -thinking ADHD might just need attention/need to release energy. To not interrupt them, ASD cat waits. When ADHD stops, ASD happily hugs her to show "Yes. I love you too." Source: AuDHD me.
Hello Leroy, that's precisely what I intended to convey! Autistic inertia can be understood as a sensory delay. It's important to recognize that individuals with ASD are fully aware of their surroundings and what's happening. Thank you for highlighting this point!
I'm genuinely thrilled to hear that, Avraham! Your feedback means the world to me. I put a lot of effort into illustrating how the outer appearance of ASD can sometimes be misleading, and your thoughts really validate my efforts. Thank you so much for sharing. 😺💖
This was very eye-opening. I have ADHD and I have a friend who has ASD. I text them as much as I can remember to, and I always feel like I'm annoying them, especially when much isn't said in the reply. However they will tell me how much they enjoy my company and talking to me. This really helped me understand the communication style we have. Thank you. Now, I'll feel less nervous about texting them. (I know them saying they enjoy my company should've been enough, but my own self hatred wouldn't let me see that.)
No worries, Paw. Your story is truly inspiring, and I appreciate you sharing it. It's great to hear how my video helped you gain self-awareness. While it's natural to feel nervous about texting your friend due to different communication styles, it's reassuring that your friend genuinely enjoys your company. Thanks for opening up and keep being authentic. 👍😺💖
As someone with ASD, I love it when my friends text me randomly. I often have a hard time keeping in touch with people (because I'm also introverted) and I feel that it's easier to stay in touch with the friends who are more likely to message first. Also, it's nice to have someone check in on you now and again 💖
I personally have ASD and there is a lingering guilt from not responding to loved ones messages but some days its just hard to respond at all let alone with my actual thoughts. Thats why when I have good days for communication I make sure to tell them how much their messages and connection means to me. That even when I dont respond im never annoyed and appreciate what they share. Its pure bliss that my partner understands this so well. They can immediately tell when im in a slump and find it hard to exist while being perceived and will send even more stuff so when i feel more up for it I have a lot i can respond to with no pressure on when.
@@cooiecubI got my autism diagnosis when I was really little but haven’t gotten my ADHD diagnosis yet. For a while though, I really didn’t know what it meant to be autistic, so engaging with more of the neurodivergent community feels really validating.
I really like the way ASD’s character is more geometric and rigid, as someone with autism I find I need lots of structure and I’m not always the most flexible These really make me feel seen as someone with ASD and OCD, thank you :)
It’s my pleasure, @sadpuppetshow5113! I'm glad to hear that you appreciate my character design choices. I find your feedback very encouraging, and knowing that my work makes you feel seen is very rewarding. Thank you so much for your kind words and support. ❤🌼
I like that the ADHD cat is still actively blinking even when they’re not currently doing something. I hate when media treats being hyperactive as something that needs to be “fixed” or that all someone needs to do is “calm down”.
to be productive though it is something that needs to be controlled.... usually through medication. I am unfortunately both of these cats XD I have ADHD and autism... and yeah trying to get any work done is an absolute NIGHTMARE if I don't control my ADHD...
well not just the media but really most of the people who don't have it. "if you really try you can improve yourself and learn to concentrate and stop getting distracted" I guess it is fine that they don't get it. I cannot imagine what it feels like Not having it. I like the way I am. its just my way. I love tat recently this things got really well known. I would just think that other people are just better then me in dealing with crushing weight of boredom and resisting distractions. This video's comments feel so welcoming and understanding. oh , I guess I got a litle bit side tracked. have a good day.)
My whole life I was told I have ADHD because I wouldn't focus on tasks. Now I feel like I've always just had ASD, where I just didn't know when I was supposed to do something. Even now, I'll stand there and wait for someone to finish talking even if they've noticed me, because I don't want to interrupt and I assume if they were ready to have our discussion they would stop talking or direct their conversation towards me, since they obviously noticed me walk in, and notice me waiting patiently.
@@treebeard7298 Man I feel that so hard. Sometimes it's hard to have conversations with people because you want to chime in but you also don't want to interrupt the other person, but now they've already changed the topic twice and you still have a comment you've been saving from the first conversation.
I remember few years back after my wife died, I was left alone with 3 kids. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with ADHD. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment changed my life for better. I can proudly say i'm totally clean for 6 years and still counting. Always look to nature for solution to tough problems, Shrooms are phenomenal.
I love hearing great life changing stories like this. I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (most especially the psychedelic ones) There are so many people today used magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing! Years back i wrote an entire essay about psychedelics. they saved you from death buddy, lets be honest here.
Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Germany. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them

I’m very quiet around my friends. Talking is very difficult and I often overthink what I’m about to say. So I don’t say much with them. I sit with them and their presence gives me happiness. I deeply appreciate that they accept me for who I am and know that I care for them as much as they do for me.
It seems like you've got an amazing bond with your friends, Jay, even if you're more on the quiet side. Having that comfort and happiness just from being around them sounds amazing. It's fantastic that they accept you for who you are! Cherish those relationships, they're truly special! ❤️
i have ADHD and i'm like this a lot too. I love hanging out and talking with my friends but often times I switch between yapping on and on about nothing or being completely dead silent. I either have so much I need to say right now or I have nothing to say and feel uncomfortable speaking. I luckily have really good friends that know sometimes I need to talk, and sometimes I would rather just sit and vibe in their presence.
I have a friend with ADHD, and I’m Autistic and have adhd. I feel, specifically, like the cat sitting there, in my own little world without any worries. Meanwhile, my friend is the other cat, always trying to make me play with them! Since I’ve been friends with them for 11 years, it’s truly a great representation of this kind of friendship.
growing up with ADHD and having a non verbal brother with ASD, bro.... this brought back childhood flashbacks XD (He's now very talkative and working and living in his own apartment!)
100%. Sometimes all we need is a task buddy or another human we care about to just be there. No more required of that person than to just be present. You could even be doing your own thing but as long as you’re there, we’re good.
i'm autistic and my wife has ADHD, this made me so happy to watch omg. i gotta show her asap! i love the smooth animation and how expressive the characters are even with such a simple style!
Oh, can I ask you a question? I'm autistic, and my partner has ADHD, it's our first experience of being in a relationship with someone neurodivergent. But we have a lot of issues based on this. I wanna ask, have you had some issues caused by this difference between both of you or not? If you have, then how did you manage to fix it? I'd really appreciate your answer
I have ASD and my best friend and room mate has ADHD. This literally captures our interactions all the time. He was one of the first friends to accept me for having ASD as previous friends treated me like garbage. To this day I still feel like I owe my friend the world for his compassion
Absolutely, Delvin! You're spot on. As individuals with Asperger's, we definitely don't ignore; we are just more zen. It's all part of our unique way of experiencing the world. Sometimes, it's our Autistic Inertia that keeps us unresponsive for short, sometimes longer periods of time. Thanks for sharing your insight! 😊👍
As someone who has ADHD and who has a younger brother with ASD, you've captured our relationship (especially when we were kids) pretty perfectly. We have about a 6 year age gap, but I was also trying to interact with him as a kid and he just wasn't budging. But I always knew that he appreciated the positive attention (our parents were hard on him due to his ASD) One day he told me that I was his best friend too, I'll never forget that day.
at some point... you are just ready that people would get annoyed , you embrace it. being anoying is fine as long as it is being yourself. and then , you may finally focus on one singular victim. you never gave up before , you just stoped for a bit , but now you can interract with one person for extended periods of time. because you like to talk to them.
It seems more and more people have ADHD and Autism, beside the fact it is taken care more than before , the higher odds ratios (about 30%) linked to pesticide exposure in offspring with autism spectrum disorder is kinda concerning, this and the endoctrine disruptors : autism is 265% higher in California than in Utah, this endocrine disruptors (replacement of iodine) is a promising explanation, i am somehow wondering how much of our morden life impacted the cases we face nodaway, there is still not a lot of money given for this studies, since the industry do not like them
Your feedback means a lot to me, Doctor. I'm grateful that you enjoyed my animation and found resonance with the characters. Thank you so much for your valuable input! 👍💖
The highest honor one can get from me is my face looking like I died when you talk to me. That means I am so focused on you that I forgot to worry if my facial expression is socially acceptable.
Even not looking deeply into the meaning, it's so cute on the surface. I involuntarily smiled when cat on the left finally leaned towards her. So nice.
As an autistic person myself, these films attempting to make you "feel" what autism is like, I generally despise them. This film is the exception. None of the other films I've seen convey what it's actually like to live with autism, at least from my 15 years of experience. But this one hits the nail right on the head! You've just earned a subscriber!
Thank you so much for that, Gunier! I'm thrilled to hear that you feel that way; it was my goal to achieve that, and I'm delighted that it resonates with you so well! All the best! 😄❤️
ASD cat is me in social situations! I often won't speak or respond unless it's about animals or other strong interests. The only difference between me and ASD cat is that I am touch sensitive, and would probably freak out if got hit by the ball, but that's just me and not all autistic people. I really love your portrayal of autism and how you showed we can still love others even if we don't always know what they want or respond the same way.❤️
Hi, @chikennuggers1429! Your comment really resonates with me. It's heartening to hear that ASD Cat's portrayal in social situations reflects your own experiences. Thank you so much for sharing about your sensitivity to touch, I will also portray that aspect of autism in a future episode. I appreciate your kindness and wish you all the best! 💖✌
Can't stop watching this, mostly because I'm an animation nerd and this is so, so amazing, both visually and technically. I mean, this is an excellent example of contrast, shape language, simplification, design-based storytelling, expressiveness even with simplification, stylism, usage of eyes in expression, silhouettes, smear frames, lower framerates not necessarily meaning less smooth...
I hope this is gonna be a recurring series! I really like the idea of exploring neurodivergence through cute lil cartoon cats! As someone autistic I tend to really enjoy relating my experiences to cartoons!
I have both, and it’s crazy to think about how they can be so different but also overlap a lot, now that I’ve seen them separate in this (very cute) animation. In my personal experience they blend together so much I don’t even realise it!
As someone with anxiety and adhd I'm not hyperactive most of the time because I am usually having thought spirals at a million miles a second and my thoughts are constantly jumping between topics frantically to even hyperfocus on a lot of the usual things like videogames. It prevented me from being properly diagnosed until I was 18. But I do have siblings with Autism and we mostly make it work.
@@blueberryjackson7539 If I had to guess it's because ADHD has known presentations without hyperactivity. Really, the term Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is just a terrible name for the condition, especially since it leads to both overdiagnosing in kids who don't have it and underdiagnosing in people who do. We really need an overhaul in the naming schema.
@@fluidthought42 yooo i suddenly remembered this comment section-section.. i got officially diagnosed w adhd last week and began meds!! sounds oddly coincidental, but uh knowing this i feel slightly less like trash all the time :3
I usually explain my own ND/anxiety combo like a huge bulletin board owned by a conspiracy theorist with color-coded strings connecting a huge array of pinned-up information…and I can’t stop putting up more pins and connecting more things with string!
(ADHD primarily with high functioning ASD) I very much enjoy when my ASD friends show appreciation for me just being stimulating around them. This animation is VERY accurate.
Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm glad the animation resonates with you and your friends' behavior. It's wonderful to hear that you appreciate when your ASD friends find stimulation in your presence. Thanks for sharing your perspective! 😺✌
I have Autism and have a friend with ADHD and he does a lot of research about historical war related facts, mainly Tanks and other war vehicles. He just talks all about it when I ask something minimal like "What was the most effective Tank in WW2" and he goes into mass detail, the ammo, armor thickness, speed etc. but I am interested into this, as I just am interested into things, universally, don't care what it is, but I am always interested. The history of the lemon, interested into that. How different guns effect the human body when it hits, interested. So that is why I like to call myself "Jack of All Trades" Always interested into everything and anything.
That's fantastic, Coolaydan! It's wonderful to see how diverse interests can bring people together. Your friend's enthusiasm for historical war facts is impressive, and it's great that you share common interests as well. It's typical of some neurodivergent people to be deeply fascinated by specific topics that capture their interest, and I'm glad to hear your interest covers more topics! Thank you so much for sharing! 🌟📚
I have ADHD too and now I can't stop thinking about if Lemon is more sour than Lime and about how they grow different and why one is green and the other is yellow.... Also why are oranges called oranges but Lemons are not called yellows or Limes called Greens? Or is tomato a fruit? Pumpkin is too right? What even is celery it's like 98% water....🤔🤔
@@shyryTsr2k hi! An autistic here, I actually I can answer those questions: commercial limes are sold underripe. Fully ripened limes are yellow like lemons are! The color orange is named after the fruit, the fruit isn't named after the color. The fruit came first! Tomatoes and pumpkins are fruit but in cooking they're used the same as vegetables because they're savory instead of sweet. This goes for other savory fruits such as olives and avocados! Celery is a stalk of the Celery plant, a stem, which stems are the things that carry water through the plant. Hope I helped !!
@@teddy-behr Wooooah 😲 These facts are insane especially about the lemon/lime ones because I didn't think limes were underriped lemons! And wait so Oranges were grown before the color became a color? Rainbows have been around since forever haven't they? So wouldn't early humans know about the color before the fruits? Idk wild guess haha. Also what you're saying is savory fruits are USED as vegetables but are not vegetables? Also why not eat the whole plant instead of just the stem of the plant or is that already a thing I don't know about? Sorry if I'm overstimulating your brain lol just so many questions in the universe and not enough answers...
@shyryTsr2k ugh bro I was writing a response but UA-cam deleted it so this one isn't going to be as enthusiastic bc I'm annoyed now lol sorry, but anyway You're a little confused about the lime fact, they're still different fruits, limes are just sold unripe because.. uh I don't actually know why, besides that they want it to taste unripe? But yeah they're still different fruits, both are just yellow when ripe :) "The earliest uses of the word in English refer to the fruit, and the color was later named after the fruit. Before the English-speaking world was exposed to the fruit, the color was referred to as "yellow-red" (geoluread in Old English) or "red-yellow". - Wikipedia page for the word orange So the color totally existed but they didn't start calling it after the fruit until a LOT later Also, all parts of the Celery plant are edible! People just eat the stalks because that's.. what they do? Maybe it tastes better than the leafy parts, I don't like Celery personally lol so I can't confirm or deny this
Thank you so much for your kind words, Kamelia! That was precisely my intent, to create empathy for both the outer and inner experiences of individuals across different spectrums. I appreciate you noticing and understanding the message behind my work. 😺👍✨
The way I just completely relate to the blank stare of the cat makes me think I may need a diagnosis for asd cuz I often just retreat into my mind to make up entire stories with OCs and favorite series/movies while on the outside it looks like there's no thought in my head. I know that because others have told me as such and I also see that in my dad

I've been diagnosed with ASD, and my mom said that the first sign that something was off about me is that I seemed to be in my own little world all the time. It was difficult getting my attention. From what I remember, the reason that it was difficult was that I was doing the exact thing you described, thinking about fandoms (or sometimes science). So that is definitely a symptom of ASD for sure.
@@PixiGags Ha ha. That was meant just to be a silly joke. But in all seriousness, I love you're use of shape. Bothe cats have very distinct outlines. I love how almost the entire animation is done in silhouette, with only the eyes and legs braking this rule. And when the two cats fit together like puzzle pieces. *chef kiss* Just satisfying. Also that 180 turn at 0:33 is just gorgeous.
these are awesome, they really capture certain things and dont try to explain or overexplain stuff, showing people in their natural state without masking. i hope you keep making these. we need more!
As someone with autism the ball bounceing on them and them bearly even noticeing is such a mood... there have been so many times ive just zoned out in my own world and no mater what happens around me ill just brush it off as if its not there and it wont even be on purpose. It can be both a blessing when i want to focuse, and a curse because ill struggle to stop focussing when i need to.
I LOVE this!! And as someone with autism, I identified with the asd cat. Like, put me in that situation, and I do the same thing, especially if it's my first time meeting someone. I get really quiet and I don't feel comfortable talking or playing, but if someone just wants to sit with me while I read or draw, I'm like "This is nice"

It often seems that many discussions about autism online lack true understanding or insight. Thank you immensely for sharing your experience! 💖☘
I never realised that I was like this until watching the video and reading the comments. I’m usually waiting for the other person to “finish” their shenanigans before responding. Unfortunately some people just don’t stop XD

Thanks for your kind words, @Shiver-is-best-waifu! I'm really happy to hear that I can make you laugh a little and that you find my actions inspiring. It is funny how neurodivergents attract each other. My college club was made up of people with ASD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, etc. It was our safe space. The only people I can't seem to detect are extroverted neurodivergents. I can't really be sure.
I haven't been in many relationships at all, maybe a few with people I fully trust and still think about and care for, however all of my exes are neurodivergent just like me and I started to realize it's because I can understand them and they understand me and I just feel so comfortable with people like me... That's not to say I wouldn't go out with a girl who's neurotypical, it's just that I can relate so well to people with neurodivergency and it makes life so much more fun when we can be neurodivergent together😂
Ive had many exes and **i** never knew where to start. I only ever asked someone else out on my own once while everyone else asked me out instead, lmao @RandomGuy0400
I have Autism and apparently I'm very extroverted, I'm just silent when I'm not around people who talk about the things I do. I honestly doubt I'm extroverted, I'm always shy, fearing of being judged, silent, scared, and definitely wanting to stay away from people at all times unless they share an interest of mine... isn't that being introverted?
@@Someone-so4zy tbh I think treating introversion vs extroversion as a binary is kinda problematic... Like, I tend to act more extroverted around people I know and when interacting with their friend groups, but on my own, when I don't have a particular friend or shared interest to act as a sort of catalyst, I tend to be more quiet and usually avoid interacting with people unless they initiate the conversation... And I don't really hate being alone, but I don't hate being around people either... I need to have some human interaction to maintain my mental health, but at the same time, it can be draining to meet new people, try new things, and visit new places... I guess you could compare me to a capacitor in an electric circuit; I can store and output energy, but I'm not that useful without a larger power source to provide charge intermittently... I also don't like conflict and tend to try and smooth out discrepancies... Like how capacitors are sometimes used to even out an alternating power source to provide a more steady current (like in a diode bridge rectifier, for example, where a capacitor is used in combination with diodes and a resistor to convert AC power to DC power)
I absolutely love how flowy the movements are! And also, as someone with both adhd and asd friends, this is so real! They’re some of the most fun people I’ve met!
Thank you so much for your kind words, Cringer! I'm really glad to hear that the characters resonate with you and that you find them fun. Your support means a lot to me! 💖
as someone with adhd i generally find it really easy to make friends but i love having the challenge of having to actually find something to make someone engage with me. makes my day so much brighter knowing i had to earn this friend 😂
as a someone who's got referral for asd i agree this is how i react when someone interacts with me, it's not that i ignore them, it's that i don't know how to react
Exactly, M0LL, I totally understand where you're coming from! Average social cues and how neurotypicals interact can indeed be challenging to navigate. For instance, when I'm around people, I often notice everyone laughing all the time, and I struggle to comprehend why. It's not that I don't want to join in; sometimes, I just don't experience things in the same way.
As an autistic person, I’m the cat on the left. It can take people a little too much effort just to get my attention 😭 Btw this animation is very cute! The animation is very smooth and nice and the characters are adorable and relatable ^^

Things I, an autistic person, can relate to in this; Not picking up that the ADHD cat wanted attention Standing still to act like everyone else and be acceptable (masking kinda) Showing affection in a unique way

Literally me and my mom. I am still comprehending the rattle by the end of the video. But I can assure you, that means I'm putting my whole heart into it and your gesture involving it is important to me.
To me it's like "Hey look at this cool thing! Hmm... not cool enough... what about fiiiiiish? Nothing? Huh... Oooh how about... ball!? Wanna play? No...? Aww..." I feel that in my soul, the desire for a reaction or validation and getting nothing...
the squash and stretch and morph of shapes are the stuffs of great animation techniques every animator should master.

Hi CDara!! Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I am so happy you like the animation. @primotef8863 Helps you keep balance to write stuff down. Might feel silly at first, but writing things down and trying to pace your brain helps ADHD a loooooot... nothing wrong with writing things down to keep track, but there's a lot wrong with forgetting stuff... ALL THE TIME.
lmao same. The whole time I was watching this like, "my last two braincells rn."

I also have both. It's literally like some days I go NOTICE ME and then others I go TOO LOUD.
God, I hate how accurate this is. When I talk with my friends, I NEED them to react or comment to what I say, or else I am physically unable to continue with what I was talking about until they ask me to continue.
Dear Radiance,
It's great to hear that you resonate with the personality of this character.
I’m like that and I’m autistic, not adhd
Or at least I don’t think adhd? I match up a bit, mostly in the hyperactive ways

Tomatoes and pumpkins are fruit but in cooking they're used the same as vegetables because they're savory instead of sweet. This goes for other savory fruits such as olives and avocados!
Celery is a stalk of the Celery plant, a stem, which stems are the things that carry water through the plant.

@shyryTsr2k ugh bro I was writing a response but UA-cam deleted it so this one isn't going to be as enthusiastic bc I'm annoyed now lol sorry, but anyway
You're a little confused about the lime fact, they're still different fruits, limes are just sold unripe because.. uh I don't actually know why, besides that they want it to taste unripe? But yeah they're still different fruits, both are just yellow when ripe :)
"The earliest uses of the word in English refer to the fruit, and the color was later named after the fruit. Before the English-speaking world was exposed to the fruit, the color was referred to as "yellow-red" (geoluread in Old English) or "red-yellow". - Wikipedia page for the word orange
So the color totally existed but they didn't start calling it after the fruit until a LOT later
Also, all parts of the Celery plant are edible! People just eat the stalks because that's.. what they do? Maybe it tastes better than the leafy parts, I don't like Celery personally lol so I can't confirm or deny this
I have ADHD and you portrayed it so well! I love these animations so much
Thank you so much for sharing, @Space_Moss12! Happy to hear that you find this episode relatable. 😺💖
i love how you use neurodivergence as a stimulus for your work!
Hi Katy, thank you for sharing your feelings with us! If you experience these still moments, sensory delays at times, or have feelings like you don't resonate with people as a group, and enjoy routines and patterns, it may be a good idea to look into it. Remember, your experiences are valid, so embrace your sensations and be proud. 💖☘
@@waxwinged_houndAh.. Thank you for your insight!
The way they tessellate, you can tell they were made for each other. :)
I am glad to hear that hamster!!
i like characters like that a lot
@@PixiGags Ha ha. That was meant just to be a silly joke. But in all seriousness, I love you're use of shape. Bothe cats have very distinct outlines. I love how almost the entire animation is done in silhouette, with only the eyes and legs braking this rule. And when the two cats fit together like puzzle pieces. *chef kiss* Just satisfying.
Also that 180 turn at 0:33 is just gorgeous.
I also like the way they tessellate. Making their shapes fit together perfectly is oh so satisfying!
these are awesome, they really capture certain things and dont try to explain or overexplain stuff, showing people in their natural state without masking. i hope you keep making these. we need more!
SIBLINGS VIBESZZ🫱🫱
ALSO WHOLESOME AND ASTHOUNISHING ANIMATION AS ALWAYS
Both of these characters are relatable without saying a word
I am glad that this characters resonate with you Nakayoushi, thanks for letting me know!!
Being diagnosed with ADHD as a child, I feel like this sums up my behavior towards my close friends pretty well.
An appropriate pick, given the similarities between cats and autistic people.
ADHD should be a dog though
@@GigiBranconicats can be hyper too. Have you ever seen them get the zoomies? That’s so ADHD.
@@GigiBranconi never seen a orange cat?
@@liviwaslost All animals have zoomies, a sign of understimulation :p
@@liviwaslost "they can be hyper too just like adhd" not sure what to think
I LOVE this!! And as someone with autism, I identified with the asd cat. Like, put me in that situation, and I do the same thing, especially if it's my first time meeting someone. I get really quiet and I don't feel comfortable talking or playing, but if someone just wants to sit with me while I read or draw, I'm like "This is nice"
Hi Leia! It brings me great joy to hear that my character resonates with you as someone with ASD. I've aimed to convey the message in a simple and direct manner.
That makes me feel a bit better. And you're right, many people who comment are a reflection on how they view themselves. Whenever I see you react to people saying stuff like "gross" or "so cringe", those typed up smiles and hearts can make me laugh a little. Thank you, you're really an inspiration.
Thanks for your kind words, @Shiver-is-best-waifu! I'm really happy to hear that I can make you laugh a little and that you find my actions inspiring. Remember that many people are emotionally stuck at age 3 and may unconsciously use others to relive issues they had with their caregivers (usually parents), often without even realizing it. I truly appreciate you reaching out and sharing your thoughts! ✌☘
@@PixiGags 😁👍
DAAAAAAW and they fit perfectly as character design in the end- that was the most adorable thing ever!
Good to see you, Ember!! I'm really glad you found them adorable and that you're happy with the character design! Thanks so much for letting me know. 💖

I’ve never even thought about the possibility that I might be considered Neurodivergent since I have ADHD, but this animation is very cute
Love this, I have ASD and my best friend has ADHD. Very relatable
I love how ASD cat just has dumb little eyes like he’s constantly zoned out. Pretty accurate to my own experience ngl
Your channel is such a comfort. I'm currently not really the happiest person so nothing really helped but your channels comforting atmosphere was really doing it fo me. Thanks 💜
I'm really touched to hear that, Johnny! Providing comfort and a positive atmosphere is exactly what I aim for with my channel. I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling your best, but I'm glad my content could offer you some solace. Remember, sometimes unhappiness stems from being too identified with things other than ourselves. Take good care! 💖😺
@@shyryTsr2kat least you've been in relationships...
I wouldn't even know where to start...
This kind of content never fails...also you're playing my favorite song...Puttin' on the Ritz! 🎷🎹😂
thanks so much Dema, I'm glad to hear that!!! Yes, 'Puttin' on the Ritz' is a real classic! 🎼🎶🙂
Me being the ADHD cat, I get along really well with my ASD friend, and sometimes they are like this (just watch me be energetic and stuff)
Hi @ToastieTaco, I am happy that you can find this episode relatable! Thank you so much for sharing! All the best to you and your ASD friend! 😺💖
I swear that cat with ADHD is so me.. ❤ love the art btw they are so bouncy and cute :)
I'm impressed with your shadow work on this. Nice job bumping the Lamp.
Thank you so much Zeta, I am glad you like my effects animation! 👍
as someone with adhd i generally find it really easy to make friends but i love having the challenge of having to actually find something to make someone engage with me. makes my day so much brighter knowing i had to earn this friend 😂
as a someone who's got referral for asd i agree this is how i react when someone interacts with me, it's not that i ignore them, it's that i don't know how to react
It can take people a little too much effort just to get my attention 😭
Btw this animation is very cute! The animation is very smooth and nice and the characters are adorable and relatable ^^

Not picking up that the ADHD cat wanted attention
Standing still to act like everyone else and be acceptable (masking kinda)
Showing affection in a unique way
