The loom enemies immediately reminded me of the time alien creatures that Tom Cruise battled in the film Edge of Tomorrow

Great show definitely worth watching, it may have been aimed at a young audience but has so much going for old fans.

Wesley's characteristics reminded me very much of Dr Who....slight irritability, slightly irratic, eccentric, widly intelligent but good natured and hearted at the core

That was Will Wheaton's plan. I watched an interview with him saying David Tennant's Doctor was his inspiration.

Prodigy show more of Wesley's background as the Traveler than in Picard.

LOVE season 2 of Prodigy. Trying to watch 1 episode a day to extend my happiness. The action sequences are awesome (actually found myself gripping the couch arms a few times) and a cool Wesley? I didn't think that was possible but the "Doctor Who-ish" off Balance, am I coming or going? approach works perfectly! Prodigy is firing on all cylinders for sure!

If you like Star Trek watch Prodigy. It's a good bit of storytelling and the loom created a good resonance. Like you had seen them before but not sure where

Thank for the video Nick! I loved these episodes, and Wesley Crusher showing up was fantastic. This show is really good Trek. I can't wait for the rest of your reviews. I love how you clip in scenes from previous Trek shows. Gary 7 episode (Assignment Earth) was so good, and seeing a clip of Teri Garr there was amazing.

I’m enjoying the humor and I think Adm. Janeway needs these kids to get to her captain self Lost in the Delta quadrant . Causal time loop and all.

The Narada incursion or what we refer to as the steaming load JJ put out!

People who say animation is for kids but who enjoy any action/superhero film from the last 10-15 years are hypocrites. Please tell me that people don't actually believe that Robert Downey Jr. et al actually fly around and do all those moves in real life. It's 95% animation with their faces added in post when needed.

I really enjoyed Wheatons performance as Traveler Wesley as somewhat goofy and unhinged, it's a cool take

I am not saying The Loom were a stolen idea, but they are eerily similar to a creature in the book. John Des at the End by David Wong aka Jason Pargin.

7:30 you mention why did the EMH appear to be the only 1 to make the armbands. I wonder if this due to the amount of temporal stuff that happened on Voyager previously which gave him the most experience in making these armbands, as he would also have been the 1 to deal with the aftermath of trying to bring them back to reality.
11:10. This is what i call the "Killer Janeway mode" Once that starfleet uniform comes off shes ready to kick a*se & god help anybody in her way.
Episode 9 has to be my favourite episode cos i really love the bond that started to develop between Ma'jel & Zero. & her pure shock when she first saw Zero in their physical form& she put her hand on their face. Plus the ending where we first see Chakotay after all this time.
So sad that so many people are choosing not to watch this as they are really missing out on some fantastic trek. Prodigy S2 is pretty much Voyager S8 we never got to see. Me personally ive watched S2 3 times now as i just absolutely love it.

I'm surprised you missed all of the Doctor Who easter eggs, including Wes' Tardis-like machine. The loom is definitely an easter egg from Doctor Who.

I've noticed the loom look a lot like a cross between the aliens of the 2010 alien invasion film skyline that had crystal reed in it and a cross between those robotic octopus like creatures in the matrix Keanu Reeves movies

Not a stargate riff its 100% Dr Who...rectangular base, tardis control room, monsters and plot from DW episode 'father's day', Wesley as a Doctor. No crew...because the loom erased their entire existence later in the episode!
