    Going through the four corners region of the west is some true scenic gem few film and I've been to Grand Canyon a couple of times, so it was nice to see part of the park and the fact the view hasn't changed much since I was there several years ago.

    Wow, that was a cold morning and again fantastic scenery. Over 10000 ft! Unbelievable that they built such a good road there. I guess that at that altitude the gasoline consumption was also very high. Once because of the slope and then also because of the little oxygen. In any case, a great experience to drive this fantastic road. Thank you for letting us be part of it!

    Ok, this goes to the top of my list of favorite videos; ones that I will watch again. The beautiful sunrise over the mountains was a treat. The highway from Cortez was wonderful, though it got a little wonky near the Utah border. The change in the landscape is amazing. Did you experience the change in elevation? This is a keeper! Bravo, Uncle Coolie! Bravo! Seeing the sky change from dark to light was a treat also. What was that sound at the traffic light in Durango, CO, Uncle Coolie? 🤣

    How do you plan for overnight hotel stay on your cross continental driving trip? And dealing with fatigue is another thing I want to ask, I mean the longest distance I ever drove is about 1000 miles away from my home, it was exhausting experience.

    • @unclecoolie
      @unclecoolie  Рік тому

      I plan my trips in advance. I map out (using Google Maps, among others) to determine how much driving I can get in one day, and I plan my overnight stops accordingly. I'd do the same, in your case, and consider which freeways/roads to take, which parks/rest stops to spend time at, etc. I usually book my hotels, flights, rental cars, etc, at least 3-5 weeks in advance.
