Hi there I stumbled onto your video and immediately opened it up and viewed it. I was born in warrensburg Missouri and that 4 years of age my mom moved us to Lee's Summit. I went through School in Lee's summit. I'll be 77 in May. When we move to the population was 2500 there was one stoplight in town at 3rd and Douglas. FYI Cole younger is buried in Lee's summit. I haven't been there for probably 20 years and at that time I couldn't get over the amount of traffic it had. The changes were monumental. I really enjoyed watching the video it really brought back a lot of memories for this old woman.

This is by far the best drive yet. Most of the drive is NOT on interstates. The upcoming portion from Lee Summit, Mo to Kingman, AZ I think is the best. Minimum billboards after leaving interstate 35. Well done. Would have liked to have tagged along
So here's something I managed to figure out. I can follow along in real time while also running on the treadmill. All I have to do is set the speedometer to the speed limit divided by 10, set the incline to the elevation divided by 1000, boom now I can enjoy the ride. I'm still on part 1 btw, but I'll definitely get to part 2 when I get to the end of that one.
I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for the time and effort. Any plans to do a video on the I5 starting from canada and going to Mexico? I think that would be an epic video.
Thanks! I have no plans for that, but I never know when an opportunity comes up. I want to do west coast drives up into Canada and down into Mexico eventually.

Thanks! The only thing I can think of was that the day that I drove through Illinois, it was a Thursday, so a lot of people were working and kids were in school.
Thanks! I only add music to shorter, time lapse videos, and that's because finding acceptable, non-copyrighted music is difficult, and most of my viewers prefer the ambient audio for the real time videos.
You're right. I made a mistake with that. I also made a mistake at the beginning when I stopped shortly after I stopped at the UDF in Cincinnati: I didn't add that 5 or so miles into the total, so the final tally at the end of this video should've been about 15 miles more than what was shown. I usually have the totals listed in an Excel spreadsheet, so that there's no mistake with the tallies, but I didn't have Excel available to me when I was adding the mileage in the video. This is also one thing that I wish the Virb software fixed: allowing the overall total of the distance traveled for the video, but Virb only gives the total for each video segment that the camera records, so every time I turn the camera (such as at a pit stop), it starts a new distance calculation. I turn the camera off often because of the small chance that the GPS .fit file could get corrupted and unusable. (I once lost an entire day's drive's worth of GPS data because I left the camera running non-stop and the .fit file got corrupted.)
