At the end of the day which one is better? They about the same level? And are they both good for simple tricks and street racing? Aside from driving in the dunes. In general are they both good for all terrain and all kinds of driving styles.
Shouldn't be hard where there the only one in the game now, I'm sure you could buy and old ltr or old trx but why live the old dream the only reason those machines are doing any good is the awesome riders on them, put those same guys on brand new yamahas and they'll make em fly too. That all depends on how you're going to ride it. Everything this video says is true. Power delivery is also very smooth. They're great quads but if you ride any 400 or 450, you won't like the way the Raptor handles or the way it delivers the power. But it is a great trail quad and easy to learn on because of how smooth it operates and delivers the power

I had an 06 yfz 450. Did regular oil changes, ran it hard on the track. Went 4 years on hard miles and never required a rebuild or adjustment of any kind. Coming from a family of riders my parents owned Honda’s and a Polaris but out of all the machines we had my yfz was the most reliable never left me stranded. Just clean the filter and do the oil changes. Pending on your age would suggest the size. I was 15 when I had bought my yfz. First year took a while to get used to the power. I was a small kid, 5ft5 110pounds.
Honda still sells their trx400ex and the Suzuki ltz 400 is still sold those are also awesome choices and are a little more forgiving when it comes to learning on. A used raptor 250 is also a great buy for their price and are surprisingly fun
I used to own both of them, they were both really reliable in the 9 or so years I owned them. The YFZ had to have an engine rebuild 3 years after I had bought it after my brother cracked the piston somehow, but it was a beast in the dunes, fun on the trails, and something about revving high and fast was just fun. The 700 was a bit more comfortable (2005 YFZ vs 2007 Raptor) the Raptor definitely felt a lot bigger, not in a bad way, just something to note. It had a lot more low end grunt, was definitely a lot more tolerable on long trail rides since you could just leave it in 2nd or 3rd and just chug along, paired with the fact the 2007 had a lot better suspension than the 2005 YFZ (which I have no doubts that they ride just about as comfortable now) Just keep up on your oil changes, your air filter cleaning, maintain your chain, and keep the joints lubricated and I doubt you'll have any issues either way you go.
which is better you guys think ? I am a aggressive rider but i want that power too , thats why I have hard decision , if u give me raptor 700 i will rip it around too , but which is faster yfz 450r or raptor 700 with 3 mods ( intake , exhaust , tune ) ?
The yfz has quicker acceleration the raptor has more top speed is more reliable n more comfortable..the yfz since it's wider will out handle the raptor..raptor has reverse..depends on what you want to do
