I tried thermage in an attempt to hold off getting a neck lift. I didn't see any results. I did end up with melasma which I still have. I have to wear foundation everyday to help cover it. I ended up getting a neck life shortly after. I paid 2800 for one thermage session in Chicago. I paid less than 5k for a neck lift under general anesthesia. Sometimes you have to go the invasive route. I wore two 😷 to cover up and a turtleneck. I went back to work 3 days later. I took one day off and had the weekend. The pain wasn't too bad. I would definitely try ellecor. I would like to try that next. Thermage might work for some but not for everyone. I really wanted it to work for me. I had it done by a registered nurse at Laser Away. A dermatologist would definitely be the best person to perform these treatments.
Thank you very much for all informative videos ❤. I am in Florida and unfortunately I can not travel to you for my Thermage treatment. Could you please kindly share your opinion on which Dr. in Florida who does good Thermage treatment please ? Thank you so very much Dr. Kappel 🙏
Jeez I wish I watched this video first. Mine was on the highest setting with numbing cream and it still hurt. Guess I’m about to lose fat. I’ll never do low level research again. I just didn’t think thermage could have any side effects 😢
Stefani- is skinTyte just as effective? i know the doctors office we use will say SkinTyte is as good or better….bc that’s what they have. So do share your no strings attached thoughts. Thank you 💕
Hi! I have not been as impressed with SkinTyte which is why I do not have one. That device uses infrred not radiofrequency and in my opinion is just not as effective with underwhelming results. I do love the company who owns it tho Sciton is a great laser/device company. But I'm not a fan of the device itself. I'm sorry ;/
I had thermage done on my belly after having 3 children by a nurse at a medi spa and she told me to take, I think 2 Tylenol and 2 Advil for the pain. She told me the higher level of pain I can take the better my results would be so I just took the pain….. In the end I didn’t notice any difference in my skin 🤷♀️
Thank you for the informational email! I just had this done (laseraway 😬) on my abdomen and I feel like I had a bad technician and I am so upset. For one, it was excruciating painful in certain spots. It felt like getting stabbed. I kept asking her to turn it down and finally she made a call to her nurse who allowed to turn it down to the lowest setting. She otherwise made no adjustments to the settings to different areas on the stomach and I would think she would change the settings. I’m very muscular in my abs but have some small fat pockets where it was tolerable. I’m not sure what to think. Will I see results? Does this mean she penetrated into muscle? She seemed to not understand how the machine worked and that worried me.
How is a patient to know if the doctor is using a machine that has been refurbished vs one straight from the manufacturing company? There probably isn't a way to find out. That scares me.
Thank you so much for this Thermage explanation. I recently had my neck done at Laseraway but I feel like I am not seeing any results but they said it takes a little time before the results show
I wish I saw this video before I got my neck done at LaserAway. It has been a month and a half already and I still have not seen any results. ☹️ After seeing this video I went back and asked them the questions you advised to ask, and although I was happy to hear that they did use a new hand-piece , they only did 300 pulses for the whole neck area. I’m so bummed that I spent $1600 and did not get any results. Is there anything that can be done now after the fact?
Honestly plastic surgeons do get as much laser/device education in their training so they often buy the wrong devices for their offices. You'll se most derms have Thermage, Halo, Fraxel, etc all the big guns that work and give consistent results and happy patients. You'll see more Morpheus8 and SkinTyte is plastics and non-derm offices. That is why. Just being honest ;/
If I'm getting a thermage FLX treatment and the aesthetician recommends 900 pulses for the face and neck is that pretty good because it's the newer version thermage flx??
I just asked this same question, glad I found an answer on here @@DrStefaniKappel. could you do a video discussing this FLX system and why you can do 900 pulses for the entire face/neck with this system as opposed to "older" systems?

Sometimes you have to go the invasive route. I wore two 😷 to cover up and a turtleneck. I went back to work 3 days later. I took one day off and had the weekend. The pain wasn't too bad. I would definitely try ellecor. I would like to try that next. Thermage might work for some but not for everyone. I really wanted it to work for me. I had it done by a registered nurse at Laser Away. A dermatologist would definitely be the best person to perform these treatments.
Im looking for a neck lift and I’m in the chicago area. Can you tell me which doctor you went with?
What would your comment be on the evidence that Thermage actually melts facial fat?
Thank you very much for all informative videos ❤. I am in Florida and unfortunately I can not travel to you for my Thermage treatment. Could you please kindly share your opinion on which Dr. in Florida who does good Thermage treatment please ? Thank you so very much Dr. Kappel 🙏
I live in Florida and try to find a thermage dr but can’t find one. I my first one done in Atlanta when I lived there
Is thermage the best treatment for flabby inner thighs?
Thank you so much for all of this information it is extremely helpful
You are so welcome! Glad it's helpful!
Do you recommend any dermatologists in the SF Bay Area ?
@@DrStefaniKappel thank you so much Stefani!!! How you get back to us is Amazing!!! 💕
Can you recommend someone in northern Ca … Walnut Creek or surrounding areas that have expertise and ethics? Wish I was close enough to see you
How do you find a good doctor in Barrie Ont Canada
I had thermage done on my belly after having 3 children by a nurse at a medi spa and she told me to take, I think 2 Tylenol and 2 Advil for the pain. She told me the higher level of pain I can take the better my results would be so I just took the pain…..
In the end I didn’t notice any difference in my skin 🤷♀️
Ugh I'm so sorry to hear that!! Thermage results are very operator dependent.
Ugh I had a nurse as well and he said the same thing. It felt fishy but I didn’t trust my gut. I can only hope I don’t lose fat
How often does skin depression result? And, have any of your patients experienced this rare side effect? Thanks.
Can you use thermage in conjunction with threads? Will energy devices shorten the life of threads?
What ended up happening?? Update plz!
What is the max heat tolerated that doesn’t melt fat ?
Is thermage safe on rosacea patients?
Thank you for all your great information? I’m in the OC this week and I tried to get a appointment with you but you booked out for months. 😢
I'm sorry :(
Are you familiar with Dr Waibel in Miami?
This is a very young lady, how does Thermage work on 60+ year olds? We need to see those videos for the real results.
How is a patient to know if the doctor is using a machine that has been refurbished vs one straight from the manufacturing company? There probably isn't a way to find out. That scares me.
This is the best video. I did thermage and they numb me. Wouldn’t have know that was bad till I watched this video
Thank you so much for this Thermage explanation. I recently had my neck done at Laseraway but I feel like I am not seeing any results but they said it takes a little time before the results show
I wish I saw this video before I got my neck done at LaserAway. It has been a month and a half already and I still have not seen any results. ☹️
After seeing this video I went back and asked them the questions you advised to ask, and although I was happy to hear that they did use a new hand-piece , they only did 300 pulses for the whole neck area. I’m so bummed that I spent $1600 and did not get any results. Is there anything that can be done now after the fact?
I took several months for me to see results. It tightened over time not sure what was used
How many treatments do patients typically need?
Usually just one! And results last 4-6 years!
Can I lose fat or volume in face with thermage
How many pulses neded for eyes area?
Plastic surgeons .. on youtube said thermage will melt you face fat away is this accurate .thank you for your feed back .
They want you in the OR
Thank you!!
Quick question do you recommend C&B first then do Thermage two weeks later. I just scheduled my an appointment for Thermage here in Boston
Coming to get a treatment from you soon.
Hi.... Is thermage safe for black skin?
If it's not safe what do you recommend those of us with darker skin to use to tighten our lower face... Jawline and chin.
Please let me know
Xo
Is your new eye cream good for crepy eye lids?
Yesss!!
You're so kind to share. I wish my plastic surgeon's office offered Thermage instead of Skintyte. Have a wonderful week!
@@DrStefaniKappel I appreciate it. and very interesting.
Thank you 💜🌸💜
Foes thermage cause fat loss?
My dermatologist has EVOKE for skin tightening. Would I be better off to find someone with Thermage?
Results are not as impressive but if that's your only option I'd try it
@@DrStefaniKappel Thank you! I live in the Central Florida area…I have not been found a provider for Thermage I trust yet. I will keep looking.
If I'm getting a thermage FLX treatment and the aesthetician recommends 900 pulses for the face and neck is that pretty good because it's the newer version thermage flx??
Yes! But I hope the aesthetician is not the one performing the procedure tho. If so, I’d maybe go somewhere else 😬
I just asked this same question, glad I found an answer on here @@DrStefaniKappel. could you do a video discussing this FLX system and why you can do 900 pulses for the entire face/neck with this system as opposed to "older" systems?
Will the rage work on Older People?
Thanks
On average, how often should one get thermage?
5 years apart
