there is a company called consumer lab. They test supplements. You have to pay a yearly fee but it’s not too bad. I rely on them for knowing which supplements are the best because there no way for us to know what is out there. A lot of times the cheaper brands are the better ones 🤷‍♀️

Hi Dr. Kappel! Just a thought as I was "listening" to collagen and absorbtion; I wondered if having the "leaky gut" would actually help the vital parts get into the blood stream? It would actually work in our favor. I have Collagenese Colitis, which, as you know, is a disorder that actually causes the body to create more collagen in the colon, as to protect itself from inflammation. After a recent Cecal Volvulus ( part of my lg colon twisted around completely cutting off my blood supply!) transit time has gone from wildly fast to snail slow. Many women have a lifetime of things like IBS, and "leaky gut". I would be curious to know if your patients or women on here, find that they actually absorb supplement better? Crazy, I know. I find that collage, does indeed work on my nails, and hair growth the best. I have no idea if my skin is intact for the age of sixty? I think I am average? But, I do find supplements almost overpower my system, and remain in my body much longer, enough to make me sick! So, back to the question or thought rather, Do supplements work for women with intestinal and transit problems, like they do with me? Thank you for all you do! Deaf Betsy x ( Formally an LA woman)

Don't know if this has been mentioned in the comments, but horsetail and bamboo Doc speaks of in this video are higher in silica than most other plants.
Silica is good for the skin, hair, nails and bones. I use Biosil drops added to water twice daily. Stopped using them for about 2 years and wow did it make a (bad) difference😅. Back using them again and after 3 months started noticing a change in my skin, its been 5 months altogether 😢now and im noticing fewer ridges in the new nail growing in at its base. Too soon for hair!

Nicotinamide, sometimes known as niacinamide, acts similarly to niacin but has a different molecular structure. This subtle difference allows nicotinamide to bypass the step that causes niacin's annoying flushing, providing the benefits of vitamin B3 without making you self-conscious.

I also found your mention of molecular hydrogen very interesting and my quick google search showed that it could be beneficial for people with psoriasis. I'd love to figure out a way to bathe in it or use as a facial mist, but only found one japanese company which makes tablets to put into water for bathing. The oral molecular hydrogen I found appears to be made of 80mg of magnesium. If I already take magnesium, I wonder if I'm getting the same benefits?

I'm curious about all skincare products you use daily, what non-invasive, cosmetic procedures as well as all plastic surgeries you've had done, what all supplements you take daily, what foods you eat daily and your workout regime. Of course, you are beautiful without any of that stuff but we all age and you just don't seem to be.
