Hi Dr. Kappel! Just a thought as I was "listening" to collagen and absorbtion; I wondered if having the "leaky gut" would actually help the vital parts get into the blood stream? It would actually work in our favor. Many women have a lifetime of things like IBS, and "leaky gut". I would be curious to know if your patients or women on here, find that they actually absorb supplement better? Crazy, I know. Those are Cherry Angiomas. I had several on my chest and one on my arm. I had them removed by laser. The doc said it can also be done with electric needle (not sure what that is). That was over 5 years ago and they don't grow back. But one just appeared on my face now.

Don't know if this has been mentioned in the comments, but horsetail and bamboo Doc speaks of in this video are higher in silica than most other plants. Silica is good for the skin, hair, nails and bones. I use Biosil drops added to water twice daily. Stopped using them for about 2 years and wow did it make a (bad) difference😅. Back using them again and after 3 months started noticing a change in my skin, its been 5 months altogether 😢now and im noticing fewer ridges in the new nail growing in at its base. Too soon for hair! Food sources of silica are greenbeans, grains (which I avoid), cucumber. But the silica they contain isnt as bioavailable as the form in Biosil. Ok, thats my two cents! Thx Doc for another informative video! 🎉
@@kerryallen4665 good morning Kerry! I shop the price, but usually from Amazon or IHerb. It's been another week since I wrote this, and I'm really impressed by how smooth the new nail regrowth (base of nail to third way up) is, bc my nails have grown out that much more. @@kerryallen4665 Hi, Kerry. I do hope this helps you! Also try to get adequate protein. Patience is necessary bc the silica has to get into the nail root located several millimeters past the cuticle, before you even start to see new growth. Also keep your hands and nails moisturized. ☺️
I know you know this Steffany, but just to also remind your audience: Sweet potatoes and carrots are converted to vitamin A, but originally are received to the body as beta carotene. Vitamin A is found in healthy fats and protein sources as well, which bypasses the conversion process, thus being more readily bioavailable. Would you agree? Thanks for your insight.

Dr. K cholesterol-lowering medicines, the Statin, are strong antioxidants. That is not to say you put everybody on those, but encouraging those people who are prescribed those, that their prescription medicine for their cholesterol to reduce their risk of stroke and heart attack is also good for their skin.
Nicotinamide, sometimes known as niacinamide, acts similarly to niacin but has a different molecular structure. This subtle difference allows nicotinamide to bypass the step that causes niacin's annoying flushing, providing the benefits of vitamin B3 without making you self-conscious.

I also found your mention of molecular hydrogen very interesting and my quick google search showed that it could be beneficial for people with psoriasis. I'd love to figure out a way to bathe in it or use as a facial mist, but only found one japanese company which makes tablets to put into water for bathing. The oral molecular hydrogen I found appears to be made of 80mg of magnesium. If I already take magnesium, I wonder if I'm getting the same benefits?

Will you make a video detailing everything you do to look so good and young for being 46? I thought you were late 20's to possibly early 30's at first. I'm curious about all skincare products you use daily, what non-invasive, cosmetic procedures as well as all plastic surgeries you've had done, what all supplements you take daily, what foods you eat daily and your workout regime. Of course, you are beautiful without any of that stuff but we all age and you just don't seem to be.
@@tinachxx110 Why are you disappointed to hear she does botox? It's one facet in a multi-prong approach to well-aging. If you commissioned a piece of artwork, allowing an artist to have all the tools at their disposal will induce a better outcome than arbitrarily removing certain brushes/colors from use
In another video you recommend hydrolized bovine collagen powder over marine and liquid. Why the change of mind? I use both and cant really tell the difference they make 😀

I can’t wait!! Just by changing the way I eat and taking supplements and drinking more water my skin is making small but steady improvements. (2 months now) I’m 53 and really bummed about my eye area and you’ve been giving me some hope! Keep up the great work!! You are living proof!
I love your place. Awesome arrangement and view.
Astaxanthin is wonderful, as is Heliocare. Both protect the skin from the damaging affects of the sun. I’ve been taking both for years.
Would you recommend a brand?
@@zenaidazarate7203 I take BioAstin Hawaiian Astaxanthin 12 mg daily- I have found that Costco sells it for the least amount of money . When it goes on sale it’s $39 for 120 caplets. There’s a sale every couple of months.
Thank you Steffani! I'm looking 😊forward to the one on hair too,! You are a wealth of great information!
I'm muslim so i mostly eat a pescatarian diet to stay halal so I'm so happy that marine collagine peptides have a greater efficacy than pork/beef...jazakallah!
Not true, studies show beef is way better thrn marine
Actually I read the opposite, bovine is most effective
Dr Kappel can you please make a video on how to treat those ugly, tiny, bright cherry colored dots/spots that creep out throughout your body as we age . 🤦🏼♀️
Those are Cherry Angiomas. I had several on my chest and one on my arm. I had them removed by laser. The doc said it can also be done with electric needle (not sure what that is). That was over 5 years ago and they don't grow back. But one just appeared on my face now.
Thank you for another excellent vid! And yes, yes, yes to the separate video on your use of Acutane/Isotretinoin for anti-aging. ♥
Hi Stefani, Can you post a list of the actual supplements that you use?
It would be my best guess that she uses many products from the Cymbiotika line of supplements. She's close with Chervin, the founder of the company. I use their supplement products as well and absolutely swear by them. They are pricey but are formulated with the best and highest grade ingredients available. I've seen incredible changes in my skin since using these supplements along with Dr. Stefani's line of skincare, MDAire. My skin looks amazing and literally glows from within.
DR. Does MSM do nothing for the skin? I’ve been taking it and my skin seems more reflective “glowy”, helps my joints too. Thoughts?
I would love if you could link the supplements that you use! Like the brands and names! ❤
Where do you buy your biosil from? It’s so expensive but if you think it makes a difference I’d like to try it!
@@kerryallen4665 good morning Kerry! I shop the price, but usually from Amazon or IHerb. It's been another week since I wrote this, and I'm really impressed by how smooth the new nail regrowth (base of nail to third way up) is, bc my nails have grown out that much more. The biosil is a game changer for me, despite eating lots of veggies. Maybe bc I do not eat many grains and grains a a good source of silica too. Best to you! 🌱
@@laurieparis2203 thank you! My nails are like paper. Weak and peeling despite everything I try :(
@@kerryallen4665 Hi, Kerry.
Wow I absolutely loved this video this is so accurate and so research based I can truly appreciate it thanks
Aw thank you so much!! I'm so glad you loved it and found it helpful!
I take Vital proteins unflavored collagen peptides powder in my coffee. Love it.
wow this is the most comprehensive video i've seen on this.
🎉❤ Thank you for taytime to educate us on this very important subject. You are a beautiful little miracle 🎉🎉
I take all of the ones you listed ❤❤❤🙌🙌🙌💪💪💪
howwwwww does your skin look SO amazing please tell us what are you doing 🙏
It's way way beyond what we can afford. She has access to any and all of the top of the line lasers, treatments, procedures. Supplements. Don't you wish you'd become a dermatologist? I do
Hi Dr. Kappel.... I love your videos! You are full of information, and I would love it if I could live closer to your practice, but that is just not in the cards for me right now. Could you recommend a dermatology practice in Georgia where I could get the services that you offer? Thank you so much for all the information you share with your audience.
Dr, Kappel-Accutane when I took it many years ago for cystic acne made my skin glow and it was the best it ever was.. I would love to get your input for using it as a part of anti-aging protocols. Thank you!
daily i take yes o yes:

2. glucosamine/choindrotine

I use Neocell HA and i love it. Huge difference with skin, hair and nails. I used to take Modere collagen which I got good results from as well, but it is so pricey.
excellent information. would defiantly love one on hair. Thank you
This question is off topic. Do you recommend my Derma dream microsculpt? Or what is a tool that is something you would chose?
You look like an Angel and Thank you for the info
I would like t know which collagen your using now?
I found it so interesting to hear that Accutane in super low doses is great for the longevity of the skin at any age and regardless of acne. Can you still use topical retinoids when taking low dose Accutane?
Please do more videos with this background. So gorgeous looking, I love it
Thank you for that I'm a big suplerment taker allso love nac and my anti inflammation suplerments which help my arthritis and roseseca allso like sastemic emzines for clean blood and iradacation of terrible pain . One thing I'd like to ask is would takeing ceramides suplerments benefit the skin at all or would they be better topical. Thanks and allways look forward to your videos
This lady is good.
What kind of birth control do you recommend? What do you take? And will our acne get worse if we go off of it?
Can you share what brand of Marine collagen that you use?? I'm using tretionin and currently using vital proteins. But I want one that really can get in there.
Truvani and Agent Nateur are one of the top ones 👍🏼
Excellent comprehensive review, wow thank you.
Dr. K cholesterol-lowering medicines, the Statin, are strong antioxidants. That is not to say you put everybody on those, but encouraging those people who are prescribed those, that their prescription medicine for their cholesterol to reduce their risk of stroke and heart attack is also good for their skin.
Between my collogen powder and my hylaronic acid supplement my knee pain is totally gone!!! It works people!! I am 42
Which collagen powder do you use?
What hylaronic acid supplement do you use. I have really bad joint pain!
Thank you for your amazing content. I have heard that Vit K2 D3 are beneficial too
Is Niacin and Nicotinamide the same thing? Great video
Nicotinamide, sometimes known as niacinamide, acts similarly to niacin but has a different molecular structure. This subtle difference allows nicotinamide to bypass the step that causes niacin's annoying flushing, providing the benefits of vitamin B3 without making you self-conscious.
Thank you @@robynreid21
Thank you so much for all of the information, love your content
Yay! I take almost all the recommended things! 🎉
I love the idea of using liner for shadow. I have hooded eyelids and it aways creases. Do you recommend a base that doesn’t crease?
Thank you so much for this video. I use Verisol collagen peptides and mix in a scoop of acerola and rose hip extract powder for the vitamin C + add any fruit flavour 🙂
Of topic but congrats on your new engagement 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Be sure your zinc and copper are in the proper ratios (8:1 is ideal). Taking too much of either will cause a deficiency of the other. I love Jarrow brand Balance Zinc.
Hi dr. Stefani, I watched your sunscreen video last night and you mentioned you wear sunblock while you sleep. You’re my kinda girl!!heheheh 😂. I love your transparency and realness, especially that you’re open and don’t mind sharing with us about any of your procedures and things. We appreciate you. Have a great day! Regine, south Florida
Lol!! Sunscreen always!! Aw thank you so much!!
Wait, why sunscreen when you sleep?? What am I missing lol
Great information!! Would love a video on accutane.
I love your videos. Always full of great information. Thank you ❤
I appreciate your videos. FWIW, I do use the Vital Proteins collagen brand and so far it has made a positive difference. I wasn’t just motivated by skin concerns - I heard it was good for joint pain which, at 49, is starting to cause concern for me. Thanks for all the info!
Please check the latest not so good news about Vital Protein Collagen Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Recalled Due to Possible Foreign Material Contamination .
How many scoops do you do?
Love your content! I currently use Hum Nutrition Collagen and it's the only one that doesn't make me feel sick.
Thank you! I love Further Food collagen and Gelatin, they have marine collagen and it's a female owned company. When I take liquid Vitamin C my skin is glowing. Thank you for all this info!
Which vitamin c brand do you use you look really good
Im in Toronto Canada and Landish has a great Marine Collagen and ethically sourced
I’m learning so much from you ❤
I also found your mention of molecular hydrogen very interesting and my quick google search showed that it could be beneficial for people with psoriasis.
Thank you as always Dr. Kappel for the valuable information on supplements. You’re a wealth of knowledge. I look forward to seeing your videos every week. I always learn something new.🙌🙌🙌👏
So many, how many should i take at one time please?
This was very informative.
Can I take Vitamin D3 and E at the same time or do I have to wait several hours to take each of them to get the maximum absorption benefits?
Dr. Kappel can you recommend a reputable supplement company for NMN? Thank you.
Hi, Dr Stefani. Quick question. I stopped taking synthetic Vit C a few yrs ago. Are you concerned about the studies that show it compromises arterial health? Also, excess leads to oxalate build-up, no?
Ascorbic acid isn't Vit c
@robynchiappetta6480 it's a synthetic form of vit c
@@MeIn321 , exactly. Thank you....And from what I could gather from Dr Stefani's video, that's what she's supplementing with. And this other person incorrectly answered a question sent to Dr Stefani.
Which of the different Heliocare formulas do you recommend Dr. ?
Please say you are developing a skin supplement! I used to take the same one you did and I was so disappointed when it dc’d! I use heliocare because of you and I can’t believe more people don’t-they need to work on their marketing!!
Thanks so much for all this incredible info
You are so welcome!
Love your videos! What do you think or know about Modere Biocell liquid collagen?
Will you make a video detailing everything you do to look so good and young for being 46? I thought you were late 20's to possibly early 30's at first. I'm curious about all skincare products you use daily, what non-invasive, cosmetic procedures as well as all plastic surgeries you've had done, what all supplements you take daily, what foods you eat daily and your workout regime. Of course, you are beautiful without any of that stuff but we all age and you just don't seem to be.
@@MB-xv7erthat’s disappointing to hear she does Botox. I’m sure she would still look great without Botox
@@cv3083 Botox seems like something they need to do every few months. What happens when you stop? It just doesn’t seem like a sustainable option
Fantastic video!! So informative!
Love you Goddess! Maybe one day I can stop in to your clinic when I’m in California!😊
What is the malignant NAD that you’re talking about? Can you elaborate on that please
I also take Krill oil I live in Canada could you please tell me a brand you think would be best. Thank you
In another video you recommend hydrolized bovine collagen powder over marine and liquid. Why the change of mind? I use both and cant really tell the difference they make 😀
Dr Kappel, is there any issues with taking 20 mg of accutane and doing lasers?
What collagen are you taking? Brand? ❤
