This story is INSANE!!!! Bro I’m working from home today, I have my phone propped up and I’m here listening to you. Thank God you’re alive. Here are my thoughts: 1. Respectfully, I have no idea why you went back to the same city. That doesn’t seem like a good idea to me. 2. Don’t ever try to do business with people who *need* money. That was a huge mistake. Hindsight is 20/20 as they say. You are a walking come up, a bank deposit, a lottery ticket. Thats what they see. Never lead with your wallet with women OR with men, especially men or women you do not know, especially from another country!!! 3. Don’t be too eager to make friends, don’t be quick to open up. Don’t volunteer information. It’s sad because this whole incident was accomplished because they successfully exploited your kindness and openness.
I know right the honest ones can tell which ones are genuine and calls a spade a spade ♠ this lad is definitely genuine lol. only few mins into this next episode and so curious and scared also yikes. Sending love from Australia 🇦🇺
Your mad lucky to have survived that bro. Crazy for going back there. Theres beautiful girls everywhere, every city, mad countries. Be somewhere where u could have true peace of mind
True man but you know how it goes , when you fall for one you just can’t let it go till you see what happens 🤣. I’m being careful tho and no more clubbing
Brother! You are a very down to earth person and one thing I noticed, unlike other UA-camrs, you answered every comment here. God bless! Keep doing what you're doing. You have a new sub here brother! Cuidate hermano! From one Cuban/ Dominican brother to a Dominican brother! Peace!!!
Thanks my brother and yea it’s important to interact with my subscribers to show that there being heard. Thanks for subscribing and I appreciate the kind words
This is insane man. Glad you're alive. I almost got potentially robbed and kidnapped in cali getting into an uber at night in city centre. Almost certain the driver was in on it. Gotta be really careful even with uber, with everything.
This is the only trap a being can fall into - doing things without realizing they are doing them. A wise person learns from the mistakes of others. Thank you for sharing your story. It will be helpful to many people, including myself. You could make money writing a book about your story it keeps you on the edge of your seat.
What an experience! The guy befriended you and played the long game, the same as some women do there. It's a cold-blooded game and they have no conscience. Glad you made it through it alive. I was kidnapped and robbed in Nicaragua by a taxi driver and his friends, but I didn't have a cell phone and wasn't carrying any debit/credit cards. They took what cash I had, but it wasn't much and that upset them, so they took me up into a slum and dropped me there where another group took my shoes and cheap watch. Had to walk several miles to a main road to catch another taxi back to the guesthouse. They could have killed and dumped my body somewhere and no one would have ever known. It didn't stop me from traveling solo either, even back to Nicaragua. So, I for one can understand that.
Yea man that’s honestly one of the most evil thing someone can do. Gain your trust and then totally backstab you like that. I would have never thought I would be in a situation like that
I’m glad that your bad experience didn’t deter you from still traveling alone or just traveling in general. I feel like the best thing someone can do is explore the world and accept the fact that sometimes you’re going to be in bad situations. That’s just life, it’s not always going to be rainbows and butterflies
Crazy story man, glad to hear that you made it out alright. Thanks for sharing really appreciate your insights on how things are in Colombia. Def sound like a place you wouldn't want to vacation alone.
He can go wherever he pleases .. His life and not yours. Loving the channel so far... Just discovered this tonight and i can tell this guy is genuine which is why i could fall asleep (insomnia) to your calming voice in part 1..new sub here with positive vibes❤❤❤ wooheeeeeee
I can tell you are genuine and honest because you remind me of myself and call it as it is!! And LOL at standing there awkwardly at the bar when it becomes empty i could feel that happening as you described it hahaha 😂😂😂LOL
I heard your story and it was very interesting, I'm glad you shared it with everyone, I think it really puts into perspective how Colombia is, but I wanted to add a few things to note In this video there are a few lessons to learn , that unfortunately were learned the hard way I'm not sure how good your spanish is but sometimes you can tell how trustworthy someone is by how they speak and how they carry themselves. 1. A red flag about the friend you met was that he didn't have a job and all of a sudden he was going to be your business partner for a business you wanted to open, you were too trusting too fast of someone who had nothing to lose in the relationship, that is a very gringo or naive way of looking at people, I say gringo or naive because in the United states there are untrustworthy people as well but it is a lot more common for people to not do extremely cruel things to one another, people in the US generally are honest, this unfortunately is something that feels unique to Colombia, whereas if you go to Peru or other countries people don't always try to rip you off or betray you by being your friend first. You should always question why someone is trying to talk to you or why they want to be your friend in an effort to avoid being taken advantage of, I don't want to blame you for being a victim , because you are a victim and it is unfortunate this happened to you but I hope the experience serves as a lesson for what others can do to avoid this kind of issue and hopefully not let it happen again to someone else 2. When meeting people in colombia, you have to judge them the way you would judge anyone else, for example its a common excuse that people don't have jobs and life is hard, and this is true nothing wrong with that, but if you meet a woman and she does not work at all, or meet a guy friend and they don't work and are struggling, its a red flag, its harsh but its true, because often times not working or finding a means to survive is a sign of lack of education or lack of will and lack of education or will means they can be more likely to do extreme things to get money, like robbing selling illegal items, ect. People in colombia that have a high percentage of being good people work and have jobs, even if the job pays little they still work, or they have goals and activities maybe they don't work for a company but they sell art or buy and sell clothes or they do contract type work or they participate in social programs like volunteering or instructing Salsa classes ect 3. You are right about the nightlife, if you go out clubbing a lot , it's considered a red flag, so are things like smoking the devils lettuce, for example most Colombians who are honest and good people don't usually partake in these things meanwhile in the US these things are perfectly normal behaviors, yes sometimes people go clubbing yes, but they always go in large groups never by themselves or with just one friend, that usually means they are at high risk of something bad happening to them, since you went to Colombia by yourself you are high risk, but the activities you participated in did not do you any favors, if you do what you do in the US you are bound to run into trouble in Colombia, for you to be in Colombia and avoid getting into problems you need to live a different lifestyle meaning, you wake up at 6am , go out to parks and malls like you stated, maybe do some activities like take Salsa Classes or volunteer to help people learn English at a University, but by 6PM like most other Colombians, when it gets dark, go home, don't stay out late unless you know the barrio very well and in Big cities like Bogota and Medellin you will never be able to know everyone so even other Colombians fall victim to being at the wrong place at the wrong time, but I lived 2 years in Colombia and never had anything bad happen to me, so I know that it is possible to avoid danger , you just have to adjust your way of living to being much more careful and you have to stop indulging in vices that lead you down a bad path like night clubs and women. These are just a few things but there are more. I'm glad nothing bad happened to you and I'm sorry you lost so much money as a result of being very unfortunate, I hope it does not happen to someone else or to you any longer
“Learn from the mistakes of others” thanks for both videos. I thought about travelling to Colombia but now I’m completely against it. Not worth the risk.
@@Irvingvstheworld thanks but no thanks. You’re one of many UA-camrs with these horror stories about Colombia. Plenty of countries that I can explore. No biggie.
Yea good point. The only thing I would say you’re missing out on is the beautiful woman but besides that Colombia isn’t really all that. I can think of wayyyy more places that are more fun/beautiful
@@Irvingvstheworld nah bro I was watching so many videos from Brazil. It's definitely safer than Colombia. But anyways, don't get in no more bad situation. 🙏🏽💯
Crazy story man, you a great story teller. Its always good to ask 'what do they have to lose?' and 'what do they have to gain?' Lopsided relationships/friendships are generally hard to trust as there is not equal benefit.
Yea that’s a great point. I’m the type of person that I treat everyone equally whether there rich or poor. But it’s fine it happened and I learned from it and all I can do is move forward and not dwell on it
@@Irvingvstheworld I like your approach for the 1st world, however I have come to find in Colombia and Brazil particularly people are in such dire circumstances and they even play each other. Not to say everyone is this way there, but unless someone have the same to lose as me in the situation - I generally do not trust them until its earned.
@@Irvingvstheworld Man, I feel for you. I have fiancé there that’s only reason why I go but I meet friends in USA and we go party but now I’m concerned about transportation and lately kidnappings. I don’t mind get robbed but kidnapping and cleaning your bank account is another level. It Asia you can do whatever you want it’s too bad it’s so far. Where are you now?
Yea I don’t wish kidnapping on anyone. That was honestly the worst experience anyone can go through. And right now I’m currently living in Cúcuta Colombia because I’m living with my girlfriend
@@Irvingvstheworldman u play with fire . I mean even me I will go to colombia soon I think but in your case I will probably switch my plan, it's like the universe is telling you that it is not for you . Even the fact that you said you there cause you have a " girlfriend" makes me worry abt you lol , there is no such thing man ... I guess you live and learn .. but westerner have a lot to learn and americans even more ( I'm mix french and west african) I already learnt those things in Kenya back in 2016.. I think u didn't even saw the worst part of it man .. the worst part is corruption and the most dangerous are the cops actually ...so be safe , stay sharp. Enjoy but don't get blind by beauty and nice talk.. it's a cold world
Now I see why I traveled to Colombia and never had problems , cuz I hear these stories and be like I never have issues like that , but now I know why there are easier prey why would worry about me when people like you bringing attention, you all keep the people like me safe
Love your energy man… being a good soul gets you fucked in this life… evil energy everywhere. i dont think personally i would of survived that situation… i would of broke down
It’s definitely a situation that isn’t for everyone. I had to think strategically because I honestly couldn’t believe I was in a situation of life and death like that
Wild story. I'm glad you made it out alive. How does your twin brother feel about you wanting to go back to the same city in Colombia after this event?
Hey watched you in the live show last night..i believe your story and appreciate you willing to come out and speak on it . people think they only have to watch the women..that Asian American last year was kidnapped and found dead last year..so I don't know why people would think your story didn't happen..stay safe out their .
Damn great video it takes a lot of courage obviously, you’re a good person too. I 1000% agree about the nightlife. I wake up early study maybe go see a girl but I’m pretty much home before it’s dark.
Manito! Not for nothing but as a paisano bro TU ERE UN MARDITO LOCO 😅 respectfully! I go with wife to Colombia all the time and my Bronx instincts ALWAYS kick in as soon as we get off the plane. The money comes and goes but life is only one. Bro I’m glad to hear that u Alive period. Keep posting more videos so we know u ain’t getting into more shinanigans lmaoo suerte mi Rey 🇩🇴 🗽
Amazing story. The first thing I thought of is if there are banks & cards that will not be revealed when those kinds of searches are conducted. That would be a great added security feature. EDIT: Lol @ them offering you a job. Do they require references & a resume 🤣?
yooooo shit is wild out there. Ive been to Colombia a bunch of times but def not going now. It's just disheartening that someone you thought was a friend/brother who you looked out for days on end would slow play you like that. For me that's the part that woulda hurt the most cause now who can you trust?
Exactly bro I perfer to get robbed by strangers than for someone to actually take the time to build a bond with me and then to backstab me like that. It’s funny too that at one point I considered him more trustworthy than even a few of my other friends that I’ve known 10+ years. But shit happens in life I guess. You live and you learn
I have been three times and have contacts in Colombia. I was close to one person- a language teacher. The idea is I was betrayed amongst people who would kill me. It was a fake friendship from their perspective. Sociopaths.
You youngbloods have zero clue about life . Nobody , ( almost nobody ) cares about but a mother and some fathers in most cases . 95% of ppl only care about money. You cant trust anyone .
What you described is exactly my biggest issue with Colombia at times. Your friend gave you up to the lardons vs. building a long term business. They are sometimes so shortsighted and can’t see the big picture. Always short term scamming to get over. Killing the goose that laid the golden egg
@@Irvingvstheworld I'm sorry guys, but there was never going to be a bar. This guy was just playing the long game to get an idea of how much money you had. As a foreigner, owning a legal business would be difficult. You'd have to navigate government bureaucracy and pay bribes. Then probably pay bribes to the police to stay open. I'm sorry for what happened and like you said, you can always make the money back. And eventually, you'll find a way to make money.
Nah i only came back because after I got kidnapped I happen to me my girlfriend (the girl in my previous videos) and things progressed but before I met her I already had it in my mind I was never coming back and I only live here because my girlfriend has no passport so literally the only place I can see her is in Colombia unfortunately.
@vybz6502 I honestly think it doesn’t matter where in Colombia you move to, it’s dangerous everywhere. The safe thing to do would be to move out of Colombia but I’m waiting to see how my relationship progresses, I can’t make that big of a step this soon
Thanks for sharing your story about being kidnapping. I noticed that Venezuela used to be one of the dangerous cities in South America. When the government and economy collapsed by oil industry by former president responsibility to take care of its citizens.Years with unemployment rate 75% with minimum wage way below sea level. There were riots going on around that time. Worse than the Great Depression. The Citizens became desperate to do horrible things such as robbing ,kidnapping demanding ransom, grave robbers and homocide to make a living to support poor people in Venezuela.
Holy shit dude this is like a movie script. I say eff all that material shit and thank God you're alive. Those dopes probably have no clue that most Americans are slaving 50-60 hrs a week to get by and pay bills. We're all not rich but in their minds they think we're living high on the hog but meanwhile we're grinding. This video just randomly popped up on my feed but you seem like a really good dude and sorry this happened. I bet most of those guys get merc'd by one of their 'boys' eventually anyways by the sounds of it. Anyways, you didn't deserve this BS but the main thing is your okay and telling the story.
Yea exactly 💯 that’s the misconception that they just assume that every American is rich. They don’t understand that it’s tough in the United states as well. Yes there’s more opportunities but if you don’t get your ass up and work then you’ll be just as poor as anyone from any place in the world. They don’t know that most Americans are actually broke 🤣. Yea there’s only 2 fates for those guys that kidnapped me, jail or death. Thanks for the comment bro I appreciate it
I forgot to subscribe last night I was so flustered, lol. I live down in RI so pretty close to where you're from bro. Someday you'll be telling your son about this as a cautionary tale man. Please be safe out there my dude@@Irvingvstheworld
Can we agree that you walked yourself into this? Clubs and bars are not on my list. I stick to my woman and mind my business. What I don't understand is why go back a second time to get robbed.
Sad to hear what happened... I never got robbed out there in bucaramanga or medellin or cartagena.. I move a certain way with the females I deal with ... first thing I always do when out there in the hoods is bless alot of the people with groceries... I dress down , "nothing fancy " and no jewelry... I dobt use my phone in public.... my Spanish is good .... but I dobt speak out while around certain crowds...
i dont think its a greed for money. but for survival. im really sorry you had to go thru that ordeal. i love Colombia but im seriously always going to watch my back
It’s greed. I literally gave him a way out by saying he can manage my bar. I was giving him the opportunity to work and make good money doing it. He chose the greed route of setting me up and robbing me. Thanks for your comment though and thanks for watching, I appreciate it
Usually this things happens to people because Colombia society is very complex First of all there is something in the-air of Colombia that makes this country unique most Colombians are soft spoken and it is a country of the extremes you find the bad and the good and when you get into a good one you really going to find the real meaning of friendship People going thru hardships but usually there is not time for depression you can live in Colombia for ten years and never going to have a boring day there is always something to do It is the country with most holydays on-the world holydays that usually stretch to 3 of 4 days in a row people get out of the cities to a countryside it is really the Colombian dream from what I get from this video the gentleman know just a little of what Colombia is actually Cucuta is one the most unsafe cities but you still find people of hearts of gold there are anothers regions that usually are no famous but really safe with great people weather is different cold temperatures diferent cultures but with the touch of the good colombian vibes
100 percent greed. The people robbing and scamming are not the poorest people. They are people who have no conscious and want short cuts. I had an incident that works out but was a horrible experience
Yea that’s the plan, I’m not here for the long term, I’m just here to see how things go with my girlfriend. If it wasn’t for that, my ass wouldn’t be in Colombia 🤣
Your store is so true l have a frend that retired and is liveing in medellin living on his retired salary but he says with what he recieves on his salary on retied ment he lives like he rich we have warn him but he keeps doing the night live like you say hope nothing happens to him what a happen to you get out of columbia and go back to st domingo am in puerto rico
Guys im not going to the cops, I promise. Im just going to make a youtube video and talk about the whole thing for millions to see in attempt to kick off my youtube channel. Bet! Done deal 😅
Nah man I’m just telling my story. I didn’t force anyone to watch, people watch at there own will. I’m just turning a negative into a positive. It’s funny you say that but you’re not the one who lost over 15 thousand dollars.
@@Irvingvstheworld I am starting to be skeptical about this story because if you were afraid for your life why would you go on youtube and tell about these dangerous people or trust a girl you just met in the mall or not go home??? Is this story real??? Your not acting like a normal person would in this situation if it were real.
@cathylake9072 why would I be afraid to tell my story on UA-cam when I don’t even know information about the kidnappers so why would they even care. I came back because after the kidnapping when I was waiting a week for my brother to send me money for my flight , I met my current girlfriend. If you don’t understand love then that’s your problem. Get out of here with your negative self. All I did was tell my story, if you don’t like it then there’s plenty of other UA-cam channels to watch ma’am
@@Irvingvstheworld What you do is your problem. If it were me I wouldnt talk about it especially while still roaming the same country. If I left the country and never going back I might. But you were threatened with not only harm to you but your family members if you spoke to the police. Im not a genius but I think the kidnappers didnt need to tell you hey kid dont make a youtube vid that can roam the internet and Colombian officials can see and it bring heat to us. Just my take… Im a lot older then you but talking aint a risk I would take. Especially if it can put me and my family in potential harm. You could still go on youtube and so well just like many others have on travel content. You speak well, present yourself well… youtube just takes time to grind and grow. Best of luck yo you from another Dominican. Cuidate manin 🤙🏼
Bro are you serious? In the video do I give specifics about the gang? Name? Location? Description? Why would I be afraid to tell my story if there’s no information to trace back to them. Think before you comment bro. On top of that , I don’t even know any information about them. They kidnapped me bro there not going to give me information about themselves. Get out of here with your negative comment
Oh hell no! I didn't "like the story!" What a horrific experience. Some people have no soul to even be able to do that to another human being. I had heard that there are people playing the long game with this. nowadays in Columbia. One guy was with a girl FOUR YEARS and she ended up being a part of a robbery plan like this. I am glad you are okay.
Crazy story. I know crazy things happy here in the US, too, but nothing like that at least not where I live. Why travel or let alone live in a country like that? I like to travel myself, but mostly to SE Asia. I have absolutely no interest in visiting any countries in South America. For whatever reason, I've been following stories about how bad it is in Colombia.
Yea the danger over here is on a different level. And Colombia at first was just another out of the bunch of countries that I’ve visited but I’m not going to lie, Colombia is very fun. Apart from the danger, you’ll have one of the best times in your life here when everything goes good. That’s why so many people visit Colombia
@@Irvingvstheworld if it is safety what you looking for I recommend to go neighboring countries including venezuela most criminals went to colombia that explain it Ecuador bolivia argentina chile those countries are way safer Colombia is not for retires Colombia is for the young
Brother you have been robbed twice within months it's time to leave Colombia and never look back. Come to Dominican republic much safer and the women are just as beautiful. Good luck to you brother.
Is true do if u just chill with ur girl nothing happens I been 9 times first 4 times I will party nothing happened but night life is dangerous… now I chill with my girl and everything is safe
Yea everything is always a lot more safe when you just settle down with a girl. Being out and about everyday in the club life is what brings the danger
Until you decide to leave your girl. If it does not work out tell no one just leave and break up with her over the phone from the U.S.. 9 meals is all it takes for good people to turn bad, so if you are no longer her and her families meal tkt they may come back and rob you after a few weeks.... Don't date the destitute, go to the singles group at a large mega church in the U.S. and marry a nurse or other professional that can cook and you will be ok, and less stressed. You will never be able to give the destitute enough and they will count your money always ask and stress you out to take care of their broke family and friends too.... Sleeping with one eye open and head on a swivel after years will raise your blood pressure over the years and ruin your health. Run don't walk word of advice. Don't get trapped there, after awhile it will be hard for you to get a decent paying job in the U.S. Because employers like to see work history of people in the office where they can watch them. 9 out of 10 business fail, so you don't want to go broke in a foreign country then you can't leave.
Red flag!!!! Too intrusive. Too many videos about this crap. You can never finish trusting someone in Colombia. I haven’t finished watching your video, but read the comments about you having a girlfriend now. Are you sure you can trust her???
I believe your story I was robbed in Colombia but only for a phone but I was robbed in the US by Colombian women and I think she used scopolomine on me here in New York City. Your store was very interesting and scary😢. I too am like you in the sense that I go to Colombia alone and don't plan things. I'm Spontaneous just like you. Colombia is dangerous you have to be careful but you can avoid problems by doing certain things like avoid night activities. I still go to Colombia every month for 2 month and then back to the USA for 2 months and then back to Columbia I would like to go to Santo Domingo but it's a little more expensive than Columbia. I could afford Columbia more than Santo Domingo that is why I keep on going back and I love it maybe I will stop going once something like what happened to you happened to me. I'm a little confused? Did you go back with the Colombian female that was talking to her ex?
@@Irvingvstheworld yea bro glad u safe bro is better to be safe in a foreign country but goddam bro they took u all the way to Venezuela that must be scary af

We're you ever able to see if your mate you met ever messaged or rang your number over the five days or went to find you at your hotel because if he didn't do any of that he definitely set you up
Yea the funny part is he didn’t contact me until 2 weeks after I left. About a week after I left Colombia he messaged me asking for a favor and I told him I can’t do any favors for him because I feel like he set me up. It’s all in Spanish tho, I’ll probably make a video about the texts he sent me after. He all of a sudden had a motorcycle and had a job after i left. And then he says that’s not suspicious 🤣🤣
how did they get access to your banking if you didnt have anything on your phone? and that credit card you had with you? just trying to avoid doing any mistakes. alreaddy deleted my banking and crypto apps from my phone and also my email access. even if anyone gets into my accouts, they cant do anything becouse it's all requires 2FA

No. The number tells you what bank accounts are under your name. So when they saw what accounts I have, they tell me to open it. So it didn’t matter if I deleted the app, they knew I had a certain bank. So it was either be honest and tell them everything or I get shot
He was part of the whole plot. My guess is that he purposely sent me in the taxi alone so that I wouldn’t think he was part of the robbery . Cause I’m sure he didn’t want to be kidnapped with me for 5 days just to prove to me that he wasn’t part of it

Yea I understand that but I happen to meet a girl I really like before I left and I’m sure you know how things are when you’re in love, you do some crazy/stupid things. But it’s ok
Man, i feel bad brother because you love too hard! And you're a great person! I just think you lack some street smarts. And thats 95% of most people who wasn't in the streets. Never change who you are tho brother but from a guy who was in the streets trust nobody but family! And go to Thailand or back to the DR. Why be somewhere that you can't even go out? Prime Example I moved from the hood to the suburbs but i don't go back to the hood and show off or party because i know what i use to do in that environment to people who was Targets. So now i party in places with different environment and i don't have to worry.
I understand my brother but honestly I don’t think it has to do with street smarts, there’s just bad people that take advantage of other. You just had to be there to understand. The bond I had with that guy was strong, I have videos of us I’ll probably show in a future video. But anyone would fall for that trap and nobody is really expecting someone to do that to them in a million years. Thanks for watching tho and thanks for your comment, I appreciate it
@@Irvingvstheworld interested to see what that guy was like. In hindsight, being unemployed was a pretty huge red flag, at least over there. I mean, it raises a lot of questions. Where does he get money to survive? How? And you know he's obvs way more likely to be tempted into doing something bad, just out of survival. Can you really trust someone like that? Also, I know you were trying to be nice and helping him with taxis and probably his food and drinks when you guys went out, but that's a surefire way to signal to someone that you have money. There was another video of a guy that got betrayed as well by a taxi driver/guide who he became friends with, similarly he was tipping the guy very generously.
Yea I understand what you’re saying but he fooled me. He gained my trust and then did that. There’s nothing I can do about that and nobody in a million years would even expect for that to happen to them

Im from canada, travelled to colombia twice for 2 months total. Visited 10 cities, and what I can say is once bit twice shy. The fact your still with the girl that was playing around with her ex shows that your weak. You need to move on from any negative things, and that could mean moving locations and meeting new women. Also use your own instinct man, if your buddy told you to take a cab, and you were calling indrive, stick with your gut. You should have called out the red flag once you saw how persistent he was for you to get in the cab.
You clearly didn’t pay attention to the video. I’m not with the girl from the ex situation. I cut her off like I said in the video. My current girl I met after all that happened to me. So try paying attention before you speak.
Dude, you been kidnapped and robbed at least twice! I have lived in Colombia for 7 years and never been robbed. Does it ever occur to you that your lifestyle made you a target? I am six feet tall and white as a sheet. I do errands in the morning. At night, the criminals and all of their victims come out to play! Why would anybody choose to play those games?
Yea man it was definitely the lifestyle but I wasn’t thinking about the danger. I felt safe cause I had my friend and he basically had me under his wing but that backfired. But now I move differently obviously
@@Irvingvstheworld You ain't safe in Cucuta' or Baltimore! Trust is earned over time. Doesn't matter where you are in the world. Take care, my friend...
That Hmong guy that died spent 8 months dating a girl there until she sent in the boys and he was robbed, kidnapped and killed. I’m sure he also trusted her. Please be careful with this.
Your friend was probably forced into it by those guys. You said they were already watching you they may have approached your friend and said either you do this or we will hurt you or your family. Your friend was maybe scared into doing this to you
@@Irvingvstheworld true he was just waiting to cash you in like Denzel Washington did his drug connect on training day. Sorry you had to go through that but keep on living your best life my guy
Yea cause what I realized about people in Colombia is that money comes first. Everyone’s in survival mode. That’s the unfortunate truth about a third world country
Yea exactly. That’s why I’m not mad that this happened to me. Cause at the end of the day we’re privileged to just go back to the u.s. and get a job and make money again. They don’t have that luxury
I can’t believe this happened to you. I’m truly disgusted, I know it’s just money and you can get it back but people work hard for what they have and these bums just took it all by force.I hope these aren’t the type of ppl illegally crossing our borders now… just disgusting
Did you say this happened in Cúcuta? I’ll be in Colombia next month bro , I’m not into the nightlife myself - obviously that so called friend set you up
This story is INSANE!!!! Bro I’m working from home today, I have my phone propped up and I’m here listening to you. Thank God you’re alive. Here are my thoughts:
I came back for my girlfriend bro but thanks for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed my story. I appreciate it
I believe your story. The internet weird. Don’t pay attention to the negative. You’re saving lives by sharing your experience.
I appreciate the comment and thanks for taking the time to watch 🙏
why do u believe him ??? he got robbed 2x and keeps going back >
Cause you’re weird

Your mad lucky to have survived that bro. Crazy for going back there. Theres beautiful girls everywhere, every city, mad countries. Be somewhere where u could have true peace of mind

This is insane man. Glad you're alive. I almost got potentially robbed and kidnapped in cali getting into an uber at night in city centre. Almost certain the driver was in on it. Gotta be really careful even with uber, with everything.
Yea man it’s dangerous out here. I’m sure they pay the taxi drivers
I absolutely believe your story, thank you for sharing it. People really need to understand how to move in Colombia.
Thanks bro I Appreciate it
Colombia is very, very dangerous.
This is the only trap a being can fall into - doing things without realizing they are doing them. A wise person learns from the mistakes of others. Thank you for sharing your story. It will be helpful to many people, including myself. You could make money writing a book about your story it keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Thanks man I appreciate the comment
And he’s a good storyteller.
I would have never thought I would be in a situation like that
And yea man there’s some evil people in the world. Sucks that the good people like us unfortunately cross paths with them
@@Irvingvstheworld Yep. It's the good people they prey on unfortunately.
I’m glad that your bad experience didn’t deter you from still traveling alone or just traveling in general. I feel like the best thing someone can do is explore the world and accept the fact that sometimes you’re going to be in bad situations. That’s just life, it’s not always going to be rainbows and butterflies

🤣🤣🤣yea man . Stay tuned for more videos
I heard your story and it was very interesting, I'm glad you shared it with everyone, I think it really puts into perspective how Colombia is, but I wanted to add a few things to note
In this video there are a few lessons to learn , that unfortunately were learned the hard way
I'm not sure how good your spanish is but sometimes you can tell how trustworthy someone is by how they speak and how they carry themselves.
You should always question why someone is trying to talk to you or why they want to be your friend in an effort to avoid being taken advantage of, I don't want to blame you for being a victim , because you are a victim and it is unfortunate this happened to you but I hope the experience serves as a lesson for what others can do to avoid this kind of issue and hopefully not let it happen again to someone else
2. People in colombia that have a high percentage of being good people work and have jobs, even if the job pays little they still work, or they have goals and activities maybe they don't work for a company but they sell art or buy and sell clothes or they do contract type work or they participate in social programs like volunteering or instructing Salsa classes ect
Thanks for your input bro and thanks for watching. I like the breakdown you gave
Not unique to Colombia. It's the norm in Argentina, especially when it comes to dealing with foreigners.

yooooo shit is wild out there.
Sociopaths.
Exactly

You live and you learn bro. I’m sure you didn’t have all the answers when you were young
What you described is exactly my biggest issue with Colombia at times. Your friend gave you up to the lardons vs. building a long term business. They are sometimes so shortsighted and can’t see the big picture. Always short term scamming to get over. Killing the goose that laid the golden egg
Exactly bro. But hey that’s life. Some people just have no problem taking things from other
@@Irvingvstheworld I'm sorry guys, but there was never going to be a bar. This guy was just playing the long game to get an idea of how much money you had.

Yea there’s some evil people in the world unfortunately
🤣🤣 yea I love DR
How can you allow someone to take your phone out of your hand and use it? That’s a violation bro
Nah he didn’t snatch it I had it on the table waiting for a driver to accept my request for a ride and he just reached over and canceled it
Red flag!!!! Too intrusive. Too many videos about this crap. You can never finish trusting someone in Colombia. I haven’t finished watching your video, but read the comments about you having a girlfriend now. Are you sure you can trust her???
I JUST RETURN FROM MEDELLIN AND THE DANGER IS WORST THE CARTEL IS CONTROLLING AGAIN
Yea man shit is no joke over there
Thabks for telling your story. But bro.. time to leave and never go back.
That’s the plan to eventually not have to go back but I have a baby on the way. So unfortunately I need to go back
Me also.
Thanks for the comment
This has to be the Craziest real story in UA-cam. What decent discotecas do you recommend in Cucuta?
They have alot of good clubs in Cucuta. The one I talked about in the video called fuego is really good
I believe your story I was robbed in Colombia but only for a phone but I was robbed in the US by Colombian women and I think she used scopolomine on me here in New York City.
Yea Colombia is too dangerous right now. Better to try another country. It’s only a matter of time till something happens to you in Colombia
Did you go back to girl talking to her ex?
Seems to be the New Trend.. Playing the Long Game.
Yea unfortunately. Thanks for your comment
Chances are they watched this video because they most likely know your UA-cam name and knew you would post about this event
Who cares. It’s not like I even have any information about them. It’s not like they told me all there names and there location
My girl lives in Cúcuta to I always meet her in other cities might have to visit Cúcuta
Nice most people have never even heard of Cúcuta 🤣
@@Irvingvstheworld yea bro glad u safe bro is better to be safe in a foreign country but goddam bro they took u all the way to Venezuela that must be scary af
Bro you wouldn’t even imagine how it feels to be in that situation. You feel so helpless and literally at the whim of criminals who can literally do whatever they want with you. My fate was literally in there hands. They could have killed me and just dumped me in the mountains and the worst part is nobody would ever even think of looking for me in Venezuela. But thanks my brother I appreciate the comment
@@Irvingvstheworld is your girl from Cúcuta or Venezuela my girl is from Cúcuta can u agree girls from Cúcuta do have a strong Caracter and argue a lot lol
@@user-uq3zy5zq6e my girl is Venezuelan but she moved down to Cúcuta because I can’t get into Venezuela without a visa. So she moved down to Cucuta with me. And YES girls from here have really strong character
You need to take this to the Colombian military. They love cracking down on this shit. Your "buddy" needs a good lesson learned. Jail.
Yea but I rather be safe than sorry. They have all my family info so I rather just take the Loss
Am going cartagena in july will be safe if i only go beaches ⛱️ just chill in the day 5 day and 5 in santa marta
Yea you’ll be safe during the day but still don’t be flashy
I shud tell my Columbia story
You should man, a lot of crazy things happen out here
I hope it starts by spelling Colombia correctly. 🙂
@etiennedegaulle3817 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nothing good comes from alcohol and its environments i.e bars, clubs etc.
It’s a double edge sword, it can be very fun but can turn out very dangerous
😮😮
😳
How did u block bruh if they took your phone? What part of America are you from?
I always bring 2 phones. I always have my main phone which was a iPhone 13 but I always have an old iPhone as a backup an iPhone XS Max. Both times I got robbed they stole my main phone and then when I get back to the u.s I but a new one but in the mean time I use the backup phone. And I’m from Boston
The obvious thing to do when you go to a country with a robbery risk is bring 2 phones, that’s obvious
Pay attention to the story bro. They forced me to tell them my social security number and they looked up my accounts that way
@@Irvingvstheworld sorry, I am not from the US, therefore not familiar with social security numbers. so I don’t understand what that number enables them to do with your bank account 🤷🏻♂️
as I said, even if I give someone the login details for my online banking, nobody can do anything since every transaction needs to be confirmed with 2FA on a second device.
Yea social security number is the most important number people from America have
@@Irvingvstheworld and just that number gives someone full access to all your bank accounts? can’t believe it is that easy…
No. The number tells you what bank accounts are under your name. So when they saw what accounts I have, they tell me to open it. So it didn’t matter if I deleted the app, they knew I had a certain bank. So it was either be honest and tell them everything or I get shot
Was your friend in the taxi with a sweater over his head too? Did he even get in the taxi? He just disappeared
He was part of the whole plot. My guess is that he purposely sent me in the taxi alone so that I wouldn’t think he was part of the robbery . Cause I’m sure he didn’t want to be kidnapped with me for 5 days just to prove to me that he wasn’t part of it
@@Irvingvstheworld okay I see thank you for sharing your story. I would have thought nothing of it if someone I knew as a friend suggested I take a taxi. But Braun surprised you're still in that country man, I've been there I know the woman are fine but bro what about the girls in Dominican Republic or Brazil or Thailand all these places are just as cheap Thailand might even be cheaper
Yea I understand that but I happen to meet a girl I really like before I left and I’m sure you know how things are when you’re in love, you do some crazy/stupid things. But it’s ok
@HebryNegga-wy4zr idk where he is. I’m guessing he’s in the u.s. now, I don’t know. All he said was he was going to try to come illegally
Thanks for watching tho and thanks for your comment, I appreciate it
And yea the plan is to move out of Colombia eventually but for now I have to stay here because I’m seeing how things play out with my girlfriend
@@Irvingvstheworld understood
There’s nothing I can do about that and nobody in a million years would even expect for that to happen to them
you have to give an interview to obi laand.
Who’s that

Que mal. Bueno gracias
Thanks my brother. Good looking out
That Hmong guy that died spent 8 months dating a girl there until she sent in the boys and he was robbed, kidnapped and killed. I’m sure he also trusted her. Please be careful with this.
Thanks I will
They offered you a job? What the hell...that is wild.
Yea man it was crazy. There’s people with real twisted minds out there
This world is fucked up man, some devious individuals everywhere
Yea that’s the unfortunate truth
Get the hell out of there...
What year did the second incident happen? 2023 or 2024?
23
Your friend was probably forced into it by those guys. You said they were already watching you they may have approached your friend and said either you do this or we will hurt you or your family. Your friend was maybe scared into doing this to you
That’s a possibility but I doubt it. I think he was part of the cartel
@@Irvingvstheworld yea I have been the a couple times and a few other places as well and noticed Lo mismo.
Exactly but I try not to think about it anymore, all I can do is work and make it back . Thanks for the comment though, I appreciate it
MY BROTHER I COULDNT EVEN FIND ANYONE TO HANG WITH DUE TO THEIR HABITS IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN

Did you say this happened in Cúcuta? I’ll be in Colombia next month bro , I’m not into the nightlife myself - obviously that so called friend set you up
