You know there's something wrong when the security from the hotel comes there. And doesn't take the woman out and tell her to go right away after a little bit of conversation. That's what good security that's looking out for their guests would do as long as there's no obvious Cuts or stabbings or blood all over his shirt or something. If the security dude was legit trying to help Tony. That's what he would have done, no telling him to step out the room and then talking in Spanish. Once that happens you know you cooked, it wouldn't have been nothing for the security guy to just say man you got to get the hell out of here as he grabbed her and threw out or walked her out. But no he's kind of cuz it's with it and probably got half of the $400,000 pesos. He probably called down and told somebody hey it's going to be this crazy looking girl they coming down from room 400b make sure you get $200,000 pesos or $200 million pesos or whatever the hell it was. If security ain't on your side get out of that hotel. The action should be everything to protect you. Nothing wouldn't have happened had he sent her on her Merry way without nothing most likely

This could happen to anyone. I am just astonished at how sophisticated the bad guys are in Colombia. The young women are an easy tool for the networks there. Tony is so lucky that it didn't turn out worse.

Brother I know you are trying to get it in while you can but sometimes you have to step away and reset for a while and maybe then look into another part of the world (Thailand, PI) and even with an older woman. This is unfortunate. However, scopolamine isn’t the only thing one has to try to dodge when visiting South America. There is a big risk that exists if one intends to meet a young looking woman from the plethora of dating sites. It’s very easy to falsely accuse someone especially overseas. Some of these young girls may say they are of age but actually not. This is where they use extortion. The police will believe them regardless and foreigners may find themselves in that country’s legal system.
That was my main concern. That would be a nightmare. Just because her ID says she's a certain age, doesn't mean she's that age. It's just too much downside for dating these girls/women
The first red flag that appears is when this young girl began fishing for information in regards to the location of where he was staying. Normal good women in Colombia especially in Medellin do not approach men. They will however, speaking to you and show interest if a man approaches them the traditional way. She seemed to display interest a bit too aggressively. It’s a common red flag that appears before someone is about to get got in the dating jungles of Colombia.
I don’t believe this female was even 20 years old. Looking at the video, her body doesn’t have the maturity that a 25-year-old WOMAN may have.

I spoke with alot of Colombian women there over the years and they all say, since the fall of Venezuela, that's who's doing most of the crimes there in Colombia. I have a couple of them I met online but I'm not meeting them there, I always fly them to meet me in Mexico. It's like $300 from Bogota to Mexico City. A good test to know she has bad intentions for you, is when you offer to fly her to meet up with you in Cancun and she says, " oh I would love too, but I don't have a passport " then you already know what she was setting you up for. I had a super bad Colombian I was chatting up for a few weeks and she was all hot and heavy on me until I suggested flying her out to Mexico. Then she came with the bs, she doesn't have a passport. I immediately blocked and deleted her. Have another beautiful 31 yo flying out to Cancun in October. No way am I traveling to Colombia anymore. $300 and she's here for 4 days and back to Bogota she goes. Be smart broths abd look at Brazil, Thailand and Philippines. Before the war in Ukraine, hands down that is my all time favorite, Odessa Ukraine. Prague Czech Republic is stocked with model quality babies too, even Spain. Lol
You’re a smart man. I did the same thing during the Covid restrictions. Flew out a girl from Medellin I was seeing to Cancun Mexico. But it’s a smart idea to remove them from a place where they have Home Court advantage. But I think a lot of girls might turn it down because of the safety issue especially if it’s the first time you guys are meeting. That passport question is not a good test. Colombia passports are not that valuable until the girl attaches visas to go to “extravagant” destinations like the USA. Visas are expensive and time consuming, and so a regular girl cannot afford it. Plus, a good girl has a solid family and is fine with staying put. A girl needs to be highly motivated to get a passport. Your attitude about passports is fully Americanized.

Rest In Peace Colombia. Actions like this, you have NO defense against. I get it. He developed something over a year plus. Lets be fair here. That is a LOOONG con. He is right about a lot of people in Medellin having something wrong with their head. During my 7 years in Colombia, I was constantly amazed by this. I saw a psychological survey from Colombia that showed 40% of the population had clinical mental disorders. I imagine it is due to extreme poverty and the constant fear of violence, ever since they were born.

The one thing I like about Philippines is have people stay at my place and you don't have these type of issues like they do in Columbia.

These situations can happen to anyone and especially if your lonely. Loneliness defeats most people, however, I agree he may need to find a better solution to meet women. Colombian women are not as easy as most UA-cam propaganda puts out. Many of these girls are con artists and working girls.

Smh, I really try to understand how dudes be getting caught up in these situations out here. I've lived full time in Medellín for 3 years and have been coming here before that for more 2 years and have never had any type of situation here. Maybe I'm lucky, street smart or I just don't put myself in these types of situations. When you mess with low energy females you end up in these types of situations. I feel like a lot of dude's who have never really been around beautiful women in their home country's come here and get caught up very easily. This is a classic case of being a sucker, he was taking care of some chick he met online. She literally got there, got free food and drinks for her and her friend. Once the friend left she decided I'm not going to sleep with this dude but I'm goner get this money. I didn't see her face but this chick looks basic at best. And even listening to this dude talking about him getting robbed at the mall is also laughable, this guy clearly doesn't have any street sense or sense of awareness.
I have found that usually these stories have some details left out. Often there was some illegal substances or illegal activities involved as well, for example why wouldn't this guy just oust this girl so the community can shame her for her conduct. Maybe she brought him drugs, maybe her age wasn't exactly what her ID said, there's always more to it.

for all those who make fun of the story, of course it's easy to say he's older and you could have guessed that a younger, prettier woman wouldn't be interested, but it's always easy to say if you're not in the situation yourself . suppose you live alone for years, haven't felt happy for a long time, no love, no hope, maybe you've even been depressed because of it and suddenly someone comes along and changes all your thoughts and feelings. Of course it can happen that you are not careful enough because you just want to enjoy this moment and don't question anything. love makes us humans do things we would never have done otherwise and each of us has surely cried out of love at some point, whether man or woman, so don't come into the chat and be smartass. These women play you something perfect, they show you their families, parents, call you every day, if you are in love you will buy this show from them and it is not only women from colombia, in general it is difficult to find a partner today who has serious intentions. So before you judge other people, take a look at yourself. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a beautiful relationship and lead a happy life. if the guy from this story reads this: you were really lucky in misfortune. try to look at the positive, maybe it wasn't the right woman and she played with your feelings, but think about how many days you fell asleep happy, how many nice conversations you had and what your heart felt. even if it was only played, think of the good times and take this experience with you.

I don't see another option at that point. When I was younger, I'd take more risks and not give up anything. When you get older, you have more to lose and just pay, take the L and get the hell out of there.
So many mistakes made here by someone who should know better. 1) trusting a 25 year old girl to be genuinely interested in a 57 year old man 2) almost allowing her friend to come up to the room 3) leaving her in the room alone with your things 4) allowing strange women to know how much money he had 5) bringing a strange woman to your hotel room - though they had been talking for a year is no excuse because they had not physically met 6) and not realizing that these women play the LONG GAME - meaning they will take as much time as is needed and tell you anything to lull you into a false sense of security. This is what happens when you lead with your wallet. I am glad this gentleman made it out without any serious issues and I am glad he seems more aware.

There had to have been a few red flags throughout the course of a year of them talking. If his story is actually for real in that he talked to her for a full year and never gave her money or anything, this story is actually really crazy and shocking. The majority of these girls have the attention spans of fish, if they are actually able to play normal for an entire year for a guy that might not even come there, that’s scary. He should’ve stood his ground though and demanded that she left. Nothing would have happened to him. Yes it would have been a risk, but hell with it man. I can’t stand these little freeloading lazy h0es. This girl was prob in the streets at petro protests lmao they just want money given to them for free. Colombia has a cultural problem. No, it’s not poverty. There are countries that are way poorer where this stuff doesn’t happen.
