i want to be a art teacher when i'm older. in my class we will be a LGBTQ+ safe space. and if anyone is rude. they are asked to drop out or try to be more positive and open. any genders are welcome, all sexuality's are welcome, any race or religion is a-okay. atheist? i'm one to! we all have our own beliefs and lives. why let others change it? wanna talk after school about anime or something? sure! i'd love to. phone? tablet? computer? allowed to have that out. your a furry? i wanna see your suit! video maker? cool! me to! all assignments are free draws for the 3 first weeks. but i will be following the assignments that the students have to do aswell. but taking off the ones that may be to hard to do, or i can't keep in the schedule. i have a sick day? tell the sub my rules unless they old. strict older sub? unfun sub? *chaos chaos!* your finished with your work? cool! show me and i'll put the grade in! to loud? you can go outside or to the library. digital artist? here's a drawing tablet and computer. here's a phone, and here's a tablet. here your supplies and styluses. take what you like but return it. i'll bring your favorite sweet! do t like sweets? favorite food then! dietary restrictions? no prob! everyone is safe here unless they mean.
      and most importantly...
and every graded quiz and test will be a kahoot or quizziz.

I think it's interesting and important to remember that for the older generations, the phrasing "he/she" was feminist, liberal, modern, and inclusive - so older people who use that and struggle with "they" are NOT inherently ignorant and bigoted.

Not if you're actually speaking a slavic language, unfortunately. My language genders absolutely everything and the whole sentence structure behaves according to that. I'm vaguely considering using the royal "we" when we speak. Unfortunately, there's a feminine and masculine plural as well. Thankfully, the vowels that make up the difference seem to converge over the course of the last century, but it's still apparent in writing.

In school, we never learned about "they/them" as gender neutral pronouns, only as a plural. I only discoverd you could use it like that once I started reading english books, watching english vids, etc in my free time. I just don't get why they don't teach that. They/them is great, not just as pronouns for enby people, but also just as pronous for everybody who's gender you don't know or when you're just talking about some hypothetical situation!
Edit: forgot to mention it but I'm obviously not talking about english literature classes. I'm talking about english as a foreign language.
