Around the window, may I suggest instead of doing all that extra stuff, find one of white papers that you peeled off the back of an already applied tile (or the clear film off the front of an already applied tile) cut it around the edges of the sill with a razor blade, and use that as a template to trace the shape onto the back of the tile you’re about to install. A lot less aggravating. I just found out about peel and stick tiles like 10min ago..I think I’ll remodel my kitchen next month. Thank you for your video! It was very helpful!
@@joealfanocomedy Is this cutter strong enough to actually cut thru the vinyl peel and stick backsplash? The product description mentions paper and scrapbooking so I wonder if it's heavy duty enough. Thanks in advance!
@@gregschoenbaechler2359 Hey Greg! Im not sure because the backsplash is arriving next week...ill let you know once i try it. The cutter i ordered looks very similar to the one in the video...wish me luck 🤷♀️
The straight edge you used for cutting is genius. When we put up our peel and stick tiles. We used sheets of scrap paper (the same size as our tiles) cutting them to size around difficult corners, such as your window trim. Then we transferred our paper template to the tile, so our cuts were perfect every time. Knowing we had ordered the exact number of tiles needed, (to keep cost down) the paper templates saved us from messing up. Thanks for the great video guide it helped us a lot.

I did my backspace with peel tile from the dollar tree. Also did the same with my fireplace with the stone peel and tile from the dollar tree. If your tile is exposed to the sun, cut the sticky plastic part on the back and put hot glue on it and close it back up. If you don't, the sun will cause it to swell. Good job guy.
A tip for anybody thinking of trying this, if your wall is textured or has paint less than a few months old, be careful. It will not last, but you can do what I did and apply construction adhesive as well as spray on adhesive to each tile sticker so it won’t fall off. It is a very tedious process, and if you make mistakes or try to cover any types of ledges it will look like an obvious sticker so just be careful. It’s pretty pricy not much cheaper than doing real tile.

When you trimmed the corner piece then used the rest of that same piece to continue on the opposite corner.. I don't know why but I've never considered that. Looks wicked, wishes I had a husband like u. Have do do all the diy stuff myself. House is big and I'm getting a bit older. U did an awesome 👌 job. Might give this a go. Thank you. X
LOL, You got this. Its simple.
When you trimmed the corner piece then used the rest of that same piece to continue on the opposite corner.. I don't know why but I've never considered that. At first I wondered why you didn't start with the corners and work your way out. Then when you got to the corner I thought it was going to be a mess... but you just blew my mind and completely warmed my OCD heart with that! 😅

I wish mine turned out like that!! 😩 Yours looks so beautiful...
Absolutely beautiful...😍and those counter tops ...I'm in love with this kitchen!
Wow... that came out REALLY GREAT!!!
Thank you for sharing this video. I am tackling this project next weekend.
It ain't bad at all. You got this!
Hey my man. I was skeptical at first. I told myself I didnt want to do this because it was cheap. But you did a stellar job and it looks really good. Thanks for making me a believer.
I knew about this for years. Just got a new apartment and wanted to see your application technique. I am buying a straight cut tool now. Thank you!
Great job! Love how you sneak up on the cuts! LOL!!!
This video was extremely helpful. I was struggling how to cut around the window molding and this video made it much easier! Thank you!
It looks absoutely beautiful. Enjoy your kitchen.
You did a BEAUTIFUL job !! Very professional looking. Thanks for sharing. MC 👍
yes it looks very nice. And thank you for laying out the inside corner. great job!
Thanks for this video. There was some advice in here that saved me some aggravation for sure. There's nothing difficult about putting these adhesive tiles up, but your video pointed out a few things to consider that wouldn't have become apparent until after I was in the thick of it. Cheers.
