List of Macros (so you can copy/paste): www.patreon.com/posts/classic-warrior-43996209 Hey guys, I just wanted to add in the comments here. I realize this video took a stupid long time to come out and I'm really sorry for that. I've been dealing with extreme back pain and sciatica this year. I've had multiple MRI's and I'm waiting on the results of the last one of my hip. The assumption at this point is Piriformis Syndrome, because I simply can't sit. Just too much pain. I've got a new standing desk though, so I was able to finally finish this video. woot! I'll be playing Shadowlands, and I'll be streaming it on Twitch, so make sure you follow! Obviously, I gotta take it easy for now, but hopefully we can finish some more videos soon :) tldr It feels like my back is going to explode.
I also work on a Standing Desk due to a milder version of sciatica and I definitely loved the change. It is tiring sometimes to stand long periods of time but I combine sitting and standing. Standing in the morning and after lunch and sitting in between those periods and late in the evening. It requires time and discipline to get your back better and if you misbehave just once in terms of bad posture or carrying heavy items, you'll feel like you start from scratch again. Now you shouldn't try any exercise, but once you get better just performing 30 mins of squatting and planking series (mild at the beginning) will reinforce your core and will give you more endurance. Also is equipment free. I am saying all of this so you can keep up making videos, of course ;)
Well... here I am after pausing the video 10000 times to copy down the macros. LMAO Thank you so much for this video! coming from a shaman main. (well... warrior now) this was very helpful!
If you still have chronic pain you might want to look up Healing Back Pain by Dr Sarno. I had similar symptoms for over 2 years and it wasn't until I read his book that I started to feel better, after having tried PT, ergnomic & posture changes, chiropractors, etc.
i hear lots of people hate the fact that warriors need so many macros i think its awsome you basically customize your abilities and have options on how to do so thats so cool
Warrior is my fav class on WoW. I thought I almost knew everything besides some details. Man, this guide is through the rough. Anyone can learn something in it. Thank you for sharing ! 👏
I just want to say how much I appreciate you for this video. One of my alts in SOD is Warrior and iv ALWAYS played DPS since I started playing WOW 10 years ago so im not used to tanking. Warrior honestly seemed daunting with the stance changes and all the different button presses etc. But your Macros turn Warrior into easy mode for me. I don't even have to worry about stance changes with these macros and I can just concentrate on my rotations.
First time ever playing a War in TBC after being a caster since original vanilla days - was totally overwhelmed and may as well have been pressing my whole hand into the keyboard trying to keep up with all the stance dancing etc - this video was incredible and helped me see what I was doing wrong and made it so much simpler... macros to never have to worry about what stance you're in. Genius. Hope you'll do more!
I realize I'm very late to the party, but I just had to comment on how well done your videos are, the expertise and the delivery, it's the kind of thing you scrub through youtube hoping to find but never do. Until you do. Also, I appreciated the humor and small edits and the extra mile you went in consideration of how awkward HS/Whirlwind conflicts could be resolved and then the extra extra mile on the /click shield updates. Thanks for the videos
/cast [nocombat] Battle Stance /cast [nocombat] charge /cast [form:2] Stance /cast hamstring You'd have to choose battle or berserker when typing it in which will probably be battle I'm guessing. This is the first macro I've made so thanks for the built in homework.
Great guide man, Ive always had alittle trouble with the stance dancing and multiple skills and this has helped me out alot, everything seems to work in SOD too.
My suggestion for those who still want to use charge+hamstring (not tested): #showtooltip /startattack /cast [nocombat; noform:1] Battle Stance /cast [nocombat, form:1] Charge /cast [form:2] Berserker Stance (or Battle Stance if tanking) /cast [noform:2] Hamstring If you already are in Berserker Stance and in combat, it will simply cast Hamstring. If you are not in combat, it will swap to Battle Stance (coded for the Charge) but if you're too close for a Charge you will simply cast Hamstring anyway.
Fantastic. Video is very well made and informative. Fortunately in SoD I don't have many abilities lol. Liking and you will probably have many replays from me while I set my macro up
I really wish you did this for retail. I've tried to duplicate it but a few mechanics have changed, affecting some of the macros as well as some ability changes. Do consider doing this for both versions. This is such a value resource.
I dug out my old classic macros. Didn't play 2.5 years so apologies that not verified them 100% now. Mouseover sunder. First - tank doesn't fly around targets so DPS using assist macros will not be smashing different target each. Second - Sunder does not break sheep which will never go for healer when CC expires. Don't remember whether it breaks Freezing Trap. /cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead] Sunder Armor; Sunder Armor Lazy 1 button, e.g. for Fury I've used the Bloodthirst, for the Arms Mortal Strike /cast [combat,@mouseover,harm,nodead] Bloodthirst; [combat] Bloodthirst; [nostance:1] Battle Stance;[@mouseover,harm,nodead] Charge; Charge When I got Ravager I experimented with [nochanneling] to not break it when Bladestorming but not remember too well if it worked, e.g.: /cast [nochanneling] [@mouseover,harm,nodead] Overpower;Overpower
thanks for the awesome video, I hope you still check the comments and can help me. Did you use an addon for more macro space? In the video you can see that you have more than 18 character slots. Thanks for the help
Amazing guide! I know it's been 3 years but I have a question. Should Mortal Strike and Heroic Strike put you in Berserker Stance for max dps or would that waste too much rage?
this is to many keybinds for me to be honest. i want to tank dungeon and do some grinding when not. pvp is not of intrest at all. So i bound just flipping my stance instead (1 bind) and then one for mouseover->charge/overpower, then rend/hamstering. its 3 macros in total. but mainly its just 1 to flip stance bar, then have abilities on the bar (1-5). some cross stance abilities on A:1-5
@muhshuh I failed to understand how do you have the same bars when switching stances. I went trough all game options and cant find it. Is that some addon or did you make the exact copies in in all action bars stances?
want to start by saying awesome video and very easy to understand! I do have a question about heroic strike, is there a simple way to cancel it if it's already being casted? for example. I'm fighting a NPC/PVP and I cast heroic strike, but a caster is casting sheep. how do I quickly cancel heroic strike and cast shield bash/pummel. ty in advanced!
Question - for Battle Shout and Demor Shout is there really any need for a macro? What is the benefit of simply /startattack then /cast macro vs just having the ability on the action bar? Sorry if obvious, newish to marcos. Thanks!
Battle Shout and Demo Shout don't need macro's since those are usually not your 'engagement' abilities. Making a Macro with a /startattack line makes you start attacking even though you might nog have enough Rage to use your ability. Say you are not attacking and have Mortal Strike (costs 30 Rage) on your bar but you only have 25 Rage. Since you are unable to use your Mortal Strike ability (not enough Rage) you cannot use it and won't start attacking. Putting the ability in a macro with an added /startattack line makes you start attacking even though you cannot use your abilities. This is mostly useful in Dungeons when fighting multiple mobs sicne you stop attacking when your target dies.
The only reason to put Demo/Battle Shout on a macro is in case you want to save space on your Bars by adding a condition to the ability like having to press Shift/Ctrl/Alt. So you could have a macro that would make you use Battle Shout normally but use Demo Shout when y ou press Shift/Ctrl/Alt at the same time. #showtooltip /cast [mod:shift] Demoralising Shout; Battle Shout
so what about all the attacks that need 2 hander? do we just click the button to swap or do we put it in the macro to equip the 2 hander? like if i need to swap to shield for 1 second then back do another attack i'd want a 2h for what then?
I suppose you still need a macro to switch back to Battle Stance and equip dual wield weapons if you have just switched into Defensive Stance and auto equippted shield and a 1hander. Can you do that one?
I have watched a few macro guides now. This is the first one I have actually been able to understand🥇🙌 thanks for keeping it simple and easy to understand.
very good video, got this randomly recomanded. I was MT for a guild that cleared KT week 1 on classic, I was using a lot of similar macros, I completly agree that it's better to not combine skills in one buttons - effectively, I was litteraly never using a stance, my stance always changed automaticly depending on what I was doing - I think that if as a warrior you manually change stance, it's a mistake. One little thing I was doing for the equip shield macro, I was using the same trick with adding a click in the macro to click a bar button, but actually I was directly puting my shield and my 2h in my bars, and clicking on those through the macro - this way when you get a new weapon or shield you just drag and drop it from your bag to your bars, I find that easier that going into the macro menu and editing a macro (even if this is only one macro). Great video, very good advices.
I don't understand ur last picture with the key binds . what does the abbreviation all mean ;( soo complex. Could you explain the commands I don't understand what they mean: /cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Taunt ??? /startattack [harm, nodead] ???
That will cast Taunt at your mouseover if you have one, otherwise it will cast at your Target. /startattack [harm, nodead] This line will start your auto attack, but since I included the conditions, it will only do so if you are targeting an enemy that is not dead. This removes the auto targeting portion of /startattack that is baked into the command.
Hello muhshuh! You do a Great job just go a Head with it. I miss in this Video the Vanilla Makros with (run, if else ...) can you make a Video with the old Vanillasystem Makros as Warrior thank you !
This will cast Charge if pressed, Intercept if pressed while shift is held. It will also switch you to the proper stance. #showtooltip [mod:shift] Intercept; Charge /startattack /cast [mod:shift] Berserker Stance; Battle Stance /cast [mod:shift] Intercept; Charge
I used the macro Equip Shield /equipslot 17 Rock Golem Bulwark /equipslot 16 Doomforged Straightedge Scenario have 2h on press macro. But then it only swaps my sword. i have to press again to swap shield also on. Do i do someting wrong?
Quick question which spells should have their own key-bind? Im a new player in sod and right now I just copied all of your macros and it left me thinking of that, I don't know if this helps but im a DPS Arms Warrior rn and haven't pvp yet and soon enough I want to start tanking once I start learning my way around things
i clicked on this to hate watch the awful information you were supposed to feed ppl, but i was pleasantly surprised, good vid and generally good info !
Very good video. Im having trouble figuring out how to get tellmewhen to notify when revenge/overpower is available for use when in any stance. Is this possible in tellmewhen?
www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/dhcy5w/tellmewhenwarrior_monitoring_overpower_in_any/ There was a lua code solution to this problem in classic vanilla, maybe it can still help.
Good to see that you've returned. Sorry to hear about your back and you have my well wishes towards your recovery. I'd like to know what is going to be your main/alt for Shadowlands. Will you be covering that content on your channel or is this primarily Classic. Great job on the vid as always.
thanks man, I appreciate it. I'll be maining resto Druid to start, but I'm holding onto my 50 boost for whichever PvP healer really slots itself as the solid pick. oh and yes! I'll definitely cover that content on this channel.
At 5:15, talking about Hamstring. Isnt it better to NOT assign the ability to a stance at all? So that you can use it in either Battle or Berserker without having to chose one? The ability straight out of the spellbook makes it possible to use in both.
on the Hamstring macros, the stance change line will only activate if you're in a stance you can't use it in. If you're already in Battle or Berserker, it won't change stances. That's what [form:2] condition checks for.
Say after you cast your revenge macro, it puts you into a defensive stance. How do you get back into your berserk or battle stance? Do you have a separate macro for that or do you weave that into heroic strike or other damaging ability?

@WhatSupp definitely different button. Sometimes you want to dps with 1h-shield. Think when fighting rogue
Amazing video, literally changed my life as a warrior lol. Had no idea you could combine stances and casts. Thank you.

This is Awsome, thanks for your hard work and time on this.
I love how u use Development practices for macro
smart way to use it
Thank you! Your video really helped me ❤
Amazing video!!! Even some great info in there for vets!
I really wish you did this for retail. I've tried to duplicate it but a few mechanics have changed, affecting some of the macros as well as some ability changes. Do consider doing this for both versions. This is such a value resource.

“/cast !Heroic Strike” to queue it on next swing.

This video is a fucking masterpiece thank you sooooooo much!!!!❤
Amazing guide!
I know it's been 3 years but I have a question. Should Mortal Strike and Heroic Strike put you in Berserker Stance for max dps or would that waste too much rage?
If you PvP, I want to say no.
If you PvE, mayyybe on Mortal Strike. Didn't get a chance to raid on warrior, so I may not be qualified here haha
Great Video!!!!
Thank you my dude!
How do you make it to where changing stances doesn't change the action page or like action bar 1
very infomrative Video, thank you very much =)
Thanks for sharing!
How do you make it so your bar dont change when you change stance? xD
Hi there,
Tried the mouseover overpower macro and dont think its working. Trying it dor SOD WOW. Any ideas? Thanks
Awesome video, not sure how to find out which slot number I need to equip for shield 🛡
Cool video, could you make binds video guide for a pally?
Stupid question here but how did you make it so your bars don't actually swap around from each stance.
Dominos or Bartender have option to off
So many great macros here, but how did you fit them all? I ran out of slots.
Also, with mouse scroll being taken by actions, how do you manipulate your camera? I tried changing it to - and + and it's just not viable
ctrl mousewheel
this is to many keybinds for me to be honest. i want to tank dungeon and do some grinding when not. pvp is not of intrest at all. OMG. Thx!
@muhshuh I failed to understand how do you have the same bars when switching stances. I went trough all game options and cant find it. Is that some addon or did you make the exact copies in in all action bars stances?
apologize for late reply. but yes exact copies. Would need an action bars addon if you wanted to keep the same bar.
THANK YOU !!!
want to start by saying awesome video and very easy to understand!
Macro /stopcasting into your shield bash macro or any other button you want to use to stop your qued Heroic Strike

what is the use of #showtooltip..... on using macro it says #showtooltip
top!
this is such a good video. i wish you would make another for sod its the best warrior macro infodump ive ever seen
Pretty sure these are now broken on Era servers, none of the form commands work
This is a tutorial for those who already know.
But you haven’t streamed in 3 months bruh
Hands down the best macro video for warriors looking for which ones to actually make.
so what about all the attacks that need 2 hander? do we just click the button to swap or do we put it in the macro to equip the 2 hander? like if i need to swap to shield for 1 second then back do another attack i'd want a 2h for what then?

I am trying to figure out how after switching to sword and shield, what is the easiest way to get back to your 2 handed?
Puts to shame all other macro guides by far!! You helped me so much Thank you!!
Thanks! glad it helped
very good video, got this randomly recomanded. I just drag my weapons onto my bar and use the /click line. Avoids have to make separate equip macros
a friend of mine asked me how to become a programmer, I told him to level a warrior
This is so helpful. I'm struggling with weapon swap + shield bash macro. I just won't work
Really needed this for HC wow thank you!
Saved my SOD 😂 ty sir!
so how do you set a macro...
I hope theres is an updated video for cata classic please :(
MEN! THE TIME TO ZUGG IS NOW!!!
For some reason the /click MultiBar commands don't work. Could it be cause I'm using bartender?
Yes, there was a workaround mentioned in a comment, but think it might have been another video.
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage( GetMouseFocus():GetName() );
a rare video made of someone who actually knows what he is doing, not these braindead long ones where they need 5 minutes just to say they play WoW
I don't understand ur last picture with the key binds . what does the abbreviation all mean ;( soo complex.
Could you explain the commands I don't understand what they mean:
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Taunt ???
/startattack [harm,nodead] ???
That will cast Taunt at your mouseover if you have one, otherwise it will cast at your Target.
/startattack [harm,nodead]
This line will start your auto attack, but since I included the conditions, it will only do so if you are targeting an enemy that is not dead. This removes the auto targeting portion of /startattack that is baked into the command.
@@muhshuh thanks and what does the harm condition?
Hello muhshuh! You do a Great job just go a Head with it. I miss in this Video the Vanilla Makros with (run, if else ...) can you make a Video with the old Vanillasystem Makros as Warrior thank you !
Tnx Man! You pro! Not a noob here ! i Know most of the macros ! But the shield bash/pummel one never made it to work as it should ! Now it does ! /bow
This will cast Charge if pressed, Intercept if pressed while shift is held. It will also switch you to the proper stance.
#showtooltip [mod:shift] Intercept; Charge
/startattack
/cast [mod:shift] Berserker Stance; Battle Stance
/cast [mod:shift] Intercept; Charge
I used the macro
Equip Shield
/equipslot 17 Rock Golem Bulwark
/equipslot 16 Doomforged Straightedge
Scenario have 2h on press macro. But then it only swaps my sword. i have to press again to swap shield also on. Do i do someting wrong?

How would you use the 'shield equip /click multiBar' macro @ 8:50 with bartender? If you can
This video helped me so much I've always been that guy to hate macros but your post and video changed my opinion ''tank'' you very much man.
i clicked on this to hate watch the awful information you were supposed to feed ppl, but i was pleasantly surprised, good vid and generally good info !
Let's say you wanna disarm with your macro. Do you have to click battle stance After? Or you include going back into it in thr macro also
ive changes all my defencsive macros to equip shield but now do i have to add equip 2hander to all my battle stance macros to change back?
you can shift click the weapon or shield into the macro so you don't have to type it out. another option.
Can you create an instant shield swap and shield bash in one click?
Whats the addon that shows icon for Overpower etc when its ready on screen ?
This is genius, but. Maby just me, but takes some of the fun out of the game doing it like this
So, how do I stop my bars from switching if I change stance?
Thank you so much for your sharing. It helped me alot!
Hey,
How did you make your bar static, so it doesn't change when stancing?
I just made every bar the same, technically the bar is still changing. doesn't really matter tho
@@muhshuh Thank you. I thought there was like an addon that kept it static.
And it is only one bar that switches... but yes the same button laid out.
Really useful. It's not my style of macros but this video provided me some great tips and tricks I'll definitely be using come fresh classic!
How do you make it so your bars don't change when you switch stances?
Whats about charge + hamstring and intercept + hamstring :D
How do you get the action bar to stop changing when changing stances?

on the Hamstring macros, the stance change line will only activate if you're in a stance you can't use it in.
I press Berserker Rage after charging. I press my charge/overpower button to hop in battle stance.
I'm level 40. This isn't gonna help me.
Can we get an update for SoD p3/p4 ;D?
I was about to play wow again. But no thanks !😂
