I really appreciate the Socratic approach in your style of activism. By mostly asking questions that people answer themselves and interjecting at the right times, instead of just bombarding them with _'WRONG, WRONG, this is why you're wrong!',"_ you make them more receptive to changing their minds. You're also personable and inviting, which makes it engaging yet non-threatening, opening people up to considering new perspectives without feeling pressured or becoming defensive.

14:39 it's interesting how the tone of the conversation changes here.
Amber, you started making a moral appeal here and this completely shut her down. As soon as this was actually a challenge to her rather than just drawing out her own thoughts and beliefs gradually, she took a confrontational stance.
With the environmental arguments, I think it's best to paint a picture of the better and more abundant natural world we would have without animal agriculture. When we ventured out of our cities, instead of being surrounded by dull, smelly pastures for miles on end, we would be surrounded by literal rain forests, marshes, woodland and grasslands teaming with life. It is a magical experience where it is possible. But people don't experience it because it's so hard to get to wild places. Even when people go to places like the Lake District or the Breacon beacons, the place is a wildlife desert in many parts because of grazing sheep and goats.
    Anyway, just some thoughts.
    Keep up the great work.
The education and getting people to explore their own beliefs, it is really productive.

Jesus, poor dogs. Imposing your views on an animal is beyond my comprehension.
I understand and even respect you being vegan, but dogs are not bound by our culture, dogs are opportunistic predators, and will ALWAYS prefer meat over vegetables.
Following that same logic, why not impose a vegan diet on wild animals? They are killing other animals, most of the times in horrific ways, even by the worse human standards.
Maybe (and that's a big maybe) you have a specialised nutritionist to tell you how best to supplement your dog's diet to compensate the huge nutritional deficiencies you're causing him, but I bet most "vegan dogs" have a terrible diet, and have shitty health because of their irresponsible owners.

In her defence she seems like a good person to my mind and generally seems quite compassionate. Often many/most people are consuming animal products from a very young age and don't make any link to it causing harm, it is just what most around you do and you become part of the culture. In this respect it can take a lot to change and go against what you have always thought was natural, I feel there is a sweet spot where information can be given and the person doesn't become defensive, judging that can be tricky. Please consider not judging this young woman too harshly , as understandable as being annoyed is ( I've been there) I've always felt the soft approach worked better. Peace :)

She is in the shade, he in the sun, neither very well lit. So you are entirely voicing a prejudice, it seems.
