    TODAY'S VIDEO:
In today's video, I'm back on GB News taking on a panel that question me about plant-based alternatives, the healthfulness of vegan diets, and I almost get whiplash reacting to baffling questions about protein and 'false vegetables'.
Mike Parry has referred to himself as a 'sausage expert' and yet infamously ate a vegan sausage sandwich believing that it was meat and called it 'luscious and lovely'.

Hi Ed! Don't know if you read these... I am an English teacher and I've been using this video for the past couple of weeks to teach my students about logical fallacies and how to debate. It's been particularly useful because the vast majority of my students are meat eaters. The two adjectives used to describe you most have been 'calm' and 'prepared'... (at least a few of my students also mentioned 'handsome'!)... Both of my sons are already vegan and I have been trying for their sakes... Now that I've watched several more of your videos, I can't eat meat anymore. I think the truth of the thing is that the only honest answer for eating meat if you're educated, is that your pleasure outweighs the rights of animals to survive... all other arguments fall apart. I can't do it... I get more pleasure from allowing animals to live.

Better late than never to do the right thing. We are all kept intentionally in the dark by traditions habits and conditioning. Adverts and the promoting of meat dairy and eggs are vile and corrupt. We must find our own right and true path in life no matter how long it takes. Better to follow our own conscience than the crowds being led into lies and following in the wrong direction. I have been vegan for nearly 13 yrs and at my personal best at nearly 69 yrs of age. When we find the truth in life its hard to ignore when we have a fully developed conscience.

I think with experience, you learn to look beyond people's gut reactions to veganism and understand that you yourself were probably in a similar position as them at some point. At 6 years, I was still what people would call "somewhat militant" with my veganism and angry at people. But now at 13 years, I've always found the "live by example" and argue calmly is much more productive as it makes people see you less as an adversary. Ed seems to have perfected this calm and reasoned approach, which we can see has been quite successful.

People who don't have a strong enough motive to be vegan, and just do it because it's a trend or want to go on a diet, tend to not plan and then fall off, beacuse well, trends change all the time, and there's only so much time that one can "go on a diet".
But veganism is an ethical position against animal exploitation. Only those who truly feel that postion in their hearts can be motivated to act accordingly. When people say "i was vegan for a month" what they should say is "i ate a vegan compatible diet for a month". To produce the most effective response to such a ridiculous question, one must give a ridiculous answer. Someone saw this interview and asked me the false cabbage question (exact question was "What if the situation was reversed, and how would you feel if we made you eat false cabbages?") and I, after feeling a bit ill from their sheer lack of intelligence, gave them this answer:
If the situation was reversed, it'd be exactly the same. We're talking hypothetically about a world where "false cabbages" could be created and everything that is created has a purpose. So this would be a world where it is, for some reason, no longer considered ethical to eat cabbages. Society has been starting to agree to stop eating cabbages due to them now being unethical. But lots of people won't do that because they'd miss the taste of cabbage too much. To prevent this, we have found a way to produce a more ethical alternative to cabbage that mimics the taste, so that the taste problem is sufficiently eliminated when living a more ethical life by choosing to not eat cabbage.
Now replace cabbage with meat. It's exactly the same concept. The only reason to not be vegan is that meat tastes nice. With these alternatives getting better and better, this argument becomes less strong by the year.
They never spoke to me about this again.

Hello, seasoned Vegan here! There's this question being asked a lot lately, and I always reply that I throw those dead animal skins away. People say it's very environmentally unfriendly to do that, but I remind them that the whole reason people were justifying dead animal skins in the first place is because it's, in their words, "environmentally friendly" because it breaks down. So, with all the single-use plastics that get thrown out every single day, the odd dead animal skins really just won't more damage than those plastics so the false signaling to environmentalism on that front is already debunked. If I got the old shrunked head that was passed through my family for generations, knowing what I know about shrunken heads, why would I keep it? Someone's dead body isn't a memorial to be worn. It's a tragic loss. Just my 2 cents.
