Took a few minutes to get to what I needed, the actual programming. I was doing everything according to my instructions, but my instructions failed to mention to hold the SET key down for a few seconds at the end to hold the values. Thanks for the walk through.
Fantastic review and tutorial, I had never thought about a controller before, but now I think they are well worth it for the alarm feature in particular. Thanks for a great video :)
Colin Barsby thank you! I never had these in place until in dabbled into the salt water side. I originally got it to connect a fan to the tank for cooling
I have one of these for my two gallon pico reef - warming plug hooked up to a tiny 8 watt always-on heater, and the cooling plug hooked up to a little fan. Works great, and actually reduced the amount of equipment I have in the tank, because heaters with in-built thermostats are bulky, even the smallest ones.
Where did you get the always-on heater? I'm using this same thermostat and I've been looking for an aquarium heater that doesn't have any controls on it.
Hi, I have a cold water marine tank in an unheated outbuilding and I need to keep the temperature from dropping below 14 degrees C in the winter is this within the capabilities of the device if i run a heater unit?
Last question, just got a 250 red sea reefer. What king of heater are you running on you tank? Hard to find one to fit inside the sump. Thanks for you help
Damn I just bought a second one with a metal probe. I had another one with a metal probe in the sump for over almost two years, no sign of rust. Was there a proof that is not aquarium safe? Also my skimmer has “titanium” screws and so does my ground probe.
How loud is that skimmer? I've bought a basically silent return pump and gyre pumps and as soon as i hooked up the red sea 300 rsk skimmer it ruined the entire atmosphere. It went from 32 decibels from inside the cabinet to 56 decibels. And dead see dont give a shit about it so im gonna have to sell the skimmer or just throw it away cos its really loud and i can't be asked to deal with people sending it back
Dont use a temp gun to figure out aquarium temps, it has emissivity variances that you likely won't get accurate temp values, use a trusted thermometer instead
I just got it and it is so annoying that in Celsius the temperature control is much more precise. You can adjust by 0.1C and when you switch to Fahrenheit it only goes by full 1F. Why did they design it like that is beyond me. That means I will always have 2F degree swing in tank temperature. Kind of disappointing
Very descriptive apose to other videos. I had no idea what I was doing until ur video came along. Much appreciated sir.

Can’t wait for mine to come so I can complete my grow room! Cheers for the setup walk thru
Again you explained it excellently! Setting up a 29 gal Metaframe vintage tank! Thanks again!
Just used your vid to set it up! Thanks so much!
Thanks for this video, clear and concise!

Zane calibration info was appreciated. Bought mine second hand and couldn't figure how to do it 🤗
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the tutorial! Beats reading the instructions! :)
No problem!
Great tutorial. Simple and easy to follow.
Super helpful. Thanks for your time!
You da man...great tutorial bro...I like the new detachable wire feature and the new rubber probe...no more spicing wiring 👍
Jimmy H Fishes yea ... thought of u when I saw that feature
Zzthat The alarm will scare the 💩 out of you in the middle of the night! Me and my Leo thought the house was on fire 😅
😂
I was setting mine up and the alarm went off. The dogs started freaking out.
Love it very clear explanation thank you
Great review Brother ! At 2:41 I thought that white machine was a Mixer and Grinder.😅😅
Protim Aquatics 😂😂😂 it’s a poop extractor
@@prolific_breed 😂😂
Excellent review and set up tutorial...Thanks !

Hi, I have a cold water marine tank in an unheated outbuilding and I need to keep the temperature from dropping below 14 degrees C

it should work it has a heating and cooling set so it will keep everyting in your desired range
Great instruction bro, I just got the IT-308 for my 600 gallon pool pond.
Barefoot Fish no problem. I have a pool pond my self that I have not opened up
did you make the frag racks
Yes it was just egg crate and cheap suction cups made for dividers
Thx for the setup vid! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks. This really helped.
Good video
I see ur bta is bubbly just curious what do u keep ur alk at?
my alk is around 10 but it has swung very low into the 6 and the anemones seemed the same
Huh weird I’ve tried everything high light low light high flow low flow
Can this be configured to a cooling fan to kick in if it’s too warm?
RoshiSatoshi yes it’s designed to do that. I have a video with this connected to fans for my lagoon 25
prolificbreed awesome thank you so much, do you have a link?
RoshiSatoshi ua-cam.com/video/i8tUSEdSu9w/v-deo.html
I have 2 and I like them so far 👍
Hello, do you recommend this one over the inkbird 306?
Not sure with 306. I use the 308 for heating and cooling. Cooling is connected to a fan
Last question, just got a 250 red sea reefer. What king of heater are you running on you tank? Hard to find one to fit inside the sump. Thanks for you help
I run finnex titanium heaters
Yo can you run a splitter in the heater outlet so you can run two redundant heaters?
APN Films I don’t see why not
Intéressant, merci !!! 👍👍👍
I have the same one for my aquarium mine is the wifi version
How's the 308s running? Worried about long term reliability. Thx
It’s good. I had the old one on two separate tanks ... I never second guessed it.

Titanium is fine. The probe I think is fine too. I have one with metal and I don’t see rust. Been up for two years
How do yo set the cooling green light on?
fentanev with in the settings for cooling. If the actual temp goes over your desired temp the cooling will kick in
@@prolific_breed Thank you

I don’t really notice it. My skimmer is also on a timer for middle of the day only. Usually not home when it’s working

Man bro if your local to me can you help me with my hard plumbing of my manifold lol. I live in North Hollywood lol
Raymond Olivares I’m out east but it’s pretty easy. Let me know if you have all the pieces? Just dry fit everything before cementing
prolificbreed can you send me list of the parts you used for your manifold setup.
I would be interested in how you did this as well I have the reefer 750

Oh wow, I did not know that.
everyone’s confused on how to program and i’m confused on how to plug it in ……..
which part ?
😍 love it. Thanks 🙏🏽… purchasing one now from Amazon.
