- I HAD TO SELL MY PORSCHE!? Earlier this year we bought our dream car. A Porsche 718 Cayman GTS… and I have loved every minute of it… is it the best Porsche ever? Maybe not. Has it been the best car ever? For me absolutely. What about a Porsche 911? Is a Cayman… even a 718 GT4 better than a Porsche 911 Turbo? In some eyes it will be. Maybe not so much the Porsche 911 GT3 or Porsche 911 GT3 RS… but all that doesn’t matter now.. because I have to sell my Porsche!!! Let’s do it… and let’s do it now!
14000 miles in 7 months proves it’s been driven and enjoyed. Lot of people doing the same as yourselves. 2nd hand car prices are crazy. I vote for a new Audi S4 avant. 3.0 litre diesel. Quick , practical 👍🏻

I feel your pain. Traded in my Mustang after 7yrs. Went back to the dealership to get some treatment put on my new Blazer and drove by it on the lot. Very emotional 😒.
You gotta get an air cooled! I can fit two sets of clubs in 86 targa

Whatever you go for, make sure it’s not a Range Rover! I’m doing the same as you and ending my PCP early on my Range Rover Velar. Can’t wait to see the back of it. I stand to make some money from the trade also.. The equity more than covers the deposit on my new Audi E-Tron. Only problem is I need to wait 5 months for the new motor to arrive!
Hi Matt, how long did you have the Velar for? I am just curious to know how you much to get some positive equity in the car.
@@rodrigorodders7173 I’m just coming up to 3 years on my deal. There’s about £4k of positive equity in my car as of today. The added bonus is that I would’ve been over my agreed mileage by about £3k if I kept my car until the end of my 4 year deal!!
@@mattde that’s great so you have to trade in the car now to secure the £4K equity. Why didn’t you like about the velar in general? I was planning to get the plug in hybrid but I heard there are so heavy it’s like driving a tank?
@@rodrigorodders7173 the first gen Velar was plagued with crackling noises coming out of the speakers. It happens when music is playing, phone calls, etc.. JLR have no idea what is causing the issue so I’ve been living with it for 3 years. So many customers complaining about the same issue. Also, build quality is pretty poor. If you are used to the refinement of a German car, avoid JLR at all costs. I personally can’t wait to get back in an Audi.
Did the same with a VW Tiguan R Line 2 years old and came away with £7000!

Tell a dealer you're looking for a used car right now and they'll tell you it's a way better deal to buy a new one. If you can sell it for a crazy price, more power to you.
I had a 440i for 18 months and traded it in for a m4 comp 2 months ago, already put 3000 miles on it and valued the same still the day I bought it, mental what’s happening at the moment

James, if you want a car that will handle clubs, trolley etc and want some great performance, take a look at an Audi S6, mine was the 5.2 V10 de restricted, they are rare these days, only high mileage models seem to be around but the newer turbo charged 4 litres also have excellent performance figures and of course much better fuel consumption. Loved mine, it used to surprise the sh*t out of a lot of super cars.

I watched the x4 video and now my wife’s vw touraeg has gone as we got stupid money for it and pick up an amazing mini next week!! Now is the time to get out of finance on cars, yes used cars to buy are more but We’ve swapped from a 25mpg diesel to a 144mpg hybrid so will save ££££

Did the same with my car took it in for its 2nd service and the dealer made me an offer i couldn't refuse, had mine 2 years from new cost
I sold my Vauxhall Insignia Grandsport about a month ago - had the car for just over 2 years, absolutely loved it.. the trade in offer meant the car only cost me 1 years worth of finance, even though as i said i had it for 2 years... So i got a whole years finance for free
I now drive a Kia Sportage, was a bit of a downgrade on trim level, but yeah the trade in price was a little too good to refuse

Audi A7 or S7 is worth a look. I have the A5 and the boot space is unreal for a quick and practical car.
Just get a Macan or Cayenne. I own two Cayenne’s and love them.
Would you advise someone to go for the cayenne coupe or normal cayenne? I am looking at the base model..
