- I Got The BEST COURTESY CAR EVER... 527bhp!? Last week I showed you guys our brand new Aston Martin Vantage… this week I’ve sent it in for a few bits doing to it and I was lucky enough to get this courtesy car… an Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition! 527bhp all going to the rear wheels… is this better than a standard Aston Martin? Is it better than a Porsche 911? Let’s find out… and let’s do it now!

Damn, I'm in the wrong job! That aside, it brought back fond memories as you drive down the Huddersfield and surrounding country roads. I was trying to guess where you were, at one point I thought Lepton/Flockton but couldn't quite make it out. I've lived in the US for over 30 years so the memory fades . Cheers for the memories and what a lovey car. Jealous.

Last courtesy car I got was a Renault Modus, I am quite jealous James, Aston Martin is the dream car of dream cars as far as I'm concerned.
The biggest knock on these cars are the old outdated Merc infotainment systems, other than that they are stunning automobiles.

The vantage is just too heavy for how small it is. It’s not quite a gt, not quite a dedicated sports car. It’s slower round the nurburing than the cheaper m3 or gt4, less “supercar” than an r8, and somehow sounds slightly worse than the engine it steals (amg gt). It looks cool as hell and has the “James bond” image, and if I was British and wanted to support my country I guess I’d consider it too. Even then, why not an f-type SVR?

Astons are lovely to look at outside; the interior quality is the biggest let down in such a valuable car, infotainment is shocking unfortunately.

Do a track day and learn how to drive a sports car and what they can do.. Both hands on the wheel and feeding thru improves your control and confidence of increased speed… Great to drive. Ignore the perceived image from others… enjoy

There is no paint code for BRG , it’s a multitude of different shades depending on manufacture
There is no exact hue for BRG - currently the term is used to denote a spectrum of deep, rich greens. "British racing green" in motorsport terms meant only the colour green in general - its application to a specific shade has developed outside the sport.
