Who knows how you react when you’ve been wishing for one thing for 27 years and suddenly your wish comes true? One of the best parts is seeing how many people out there love SMRPG as much as I do.
I see a lot of "waiting 27 years for this" comments, and they make no sense to me. Like I doubt the first year it was anyone was like "Man I sure hope a remake/updated version comes out soon." Heck, Super Mario RPG is my favorite game and I've played it many times over the last 27 years (I was 5 when it came out and my parents got it for us not long after release), and I have never once thought "please remake it"

@@Kyle_116 We wanted a sequel for 27 years, and with a remake if it sells well there is a very good possibility for finally get a sequel. So while we might not have been waiting 27 years for this we have been waiting 27 years for an oportunity to scratch more of an itch for this.
People do not understand how big of a deal this is. After Mario RPG came out Square and Nintendo had a falling out square wanted to do more buisiness with playstation, the rights to the characters like mallow and geno belonged with square, Nintendo stopped doing business with them for a good deal. This is a symbol that the companies have finally put their grievances aside. No one, and I mean no one, actually thought this would ever happen. Thats why we kept pushing for it.
I'm with you on the Culex Battle question, I hope he's in this one.
He's part of the original game, I'd be shocked if they omitted anything from this classic gem of a masterpiece.

Should be if it's apart of the game since the first game for snes but who knows what Nintendo has up there sleeve
im just so happy this is happening. I never dared dream it....and here it is. Its so cool seeing many people online feeling as I do right now too, with this game we loved all those many years ago being remade and beautifully at that!

Id suggest getting a lite if youre only playing handheld, oled if youre gonna play on tv as well, and normal switch if you just dont care about the bigger screen but still want the hybrid
It was on such a limited run, by the time I was aware of it, the price got jacked so high, I couldn't afford it. I've waited almost 30 years for this, and I can't wait any longer. This is absolutely Day 1 for me.

Replay the SNES version
Replay the game, SF6, Mortal 1 Kombat, and Tekken 8 if you are into fighting games, probably get the Metal Gear collection if you are interested too, live life, touch grass, idfk, whatever you want 💀
I'm going to play Sea of Stars in August. Hopefully Suikoden remaster and Hundred Heroes too

To answer your question, YES. Culex is back.
They do show the keys to hit on the yoshi race. I sucked at it but on my emulator I found a game genie code that let's you finish the race with one cookie. You think this remake is something? I mess around with it on my desktop synced to my VR using old school style. The graphics alone from that was amazing old school style and I'm more eager to see how realistic this will look in my VR in 2-3 years from now.

I dont care what people say about this when this was your first game at 7 it brings back a lot of memories and of course its an easy game but i still like too remember those times and too see this 23 years later is just fantastic.

Leaks, verified or not, wouldn't seem trustworthy if it's about Super Mario RPG.
That's like saying there's a verified leak to not only Mother 3, but a Mother 4!
Or like saying there's a verified leak to a Team Fortress 3.
Leaks that talk about games that have been rumored for YEARS (constantly being proven wrong again and again and again) are rightfully ignored.
