- MARIO FANS ARE EATING! NINTENDO DIRECT JUNE 2023 WAS INSANE! Super Mario RPG Remake, a NEW Princess Peach game, Luigi's Mansion 2 port, Mario Kart 8 DLC Wave 5, AND Super Mario Bros Wonder!!! It's literally the 2D Mario game I've been dreaming about! I can't believe this is all happening- I'm so hyper and happy I almost cried!!! 😭

7:27 This is what I like seeing in these reactions, that moment of realization almost immediately. So many reactions don't even know what game this is until the title drop, this game is so iconic for the era, and for games in general. Also just one of my all time favorites.

What an amazing Direct this was. All the Mario announcements were my favorites, especially Super Mario Bros. Wonder. I am so ready for that game. Can't wait till Oct. 20. This Direct made Mario fans happy.

I didn't realise that there was a Direct, because I see it trend every day on Twitter (alongside "Switch Pro"), so naturally gloss over it. I then heard Jesss squealing and realised something was going on for real.

i got tears of the kingdom on my birthday this year, very happy you get pikmin 4 as a birthday gift :) also super mario wonder made me soooo happy, theyre creating a harmony between the 3d art style and the 2d more forward facing sprites! plus the animations with the weird framerates and the super creative worlds! i cant wait for october!

This Nintendo Direct was Insane with the Mario Games popping out. 2023 has been an Amazing Year for Super Mario, the Movie and Games. Really can't wait to play the Remake of Super Mario RPG and Super Mario Bros Wonder! It's looks Incredible and Happy to see Daisy as a Playable Character.

This was honestly one of the best Nintendo Directs of all time. We got so much amazing stuff and I am still right now internally screaming about Super Mario RPG😊😊😂❤
Still love watching your reactions after all these years, especially on days like today, when we old-school platformer fans have been given a few wonderful of titles to feast upon. Your hype just magnifies when there's a reveal that is unexpected and awesome. Among those who do these vids, you still stand out incredibly well in that regard.
Given where the Switch is in its lifecycle (presumably), this Direct presentation was incredibly strong and full of interesting games, and there were a lot of nice surprises for pretty much every type of Switch owner present. As a life-ling Mario enthusiast like you, I loved seeing SMB Wonder and just how imaginative and expressive it appears to be, and finally seeing Daisy and Yoshi join as playable characters was more special than it had a right to be.

The Mario content even took me by surprise especially with the Mario RPG remake and Mario Wonder that I never would’ve thought would be made! This game meant a lot to people in my age group that played it as kids. It was ‘that’ game before final fantasy 7 came out. It was the most amazing thing ever I remember playing it before work when I was in 6th grade just grinding for levels haha

I think the Super Mario Bros. Wonder art style is very similar to the 3D models created as reference for SNES game sprites. Actually very similar to the models used for the sprites and box art of Super Mario RPG, which is coincidentally (maybe not so coincidentally) getting a remake.
Nintendo can actually make some miracles happen. Geno may not have made it to smash but at least he is getting a remake; so more people can get into the series. Daisy being playable in a mainline Mario game, Mario Kart 8 Booster course pass dropping 3 characters at once. I love Wiggler in MK7, super looking forward to playing him again. And the hype is just beginning with Sonic Central incoming. I'm really hoping that Nintendo can continue making dreams come true. Like more Kid Icarus, more Star Fox, more F-Zero, just more of everything.

One of my favorite details about Wonder that really show how they are moving forward with the series is the lack of a score. No 2D Mario game hasn't had a score! It hasn't had a purpose in so long, and they're finally letting it go. I am so HYPE!!!
I always enjoy Directs to a greater or lesser extent so I knew I'd enjoy this one as well but wow, couldn't imagine it would be this good between Mario galore and the other big announcements outside of that!

I love how the animation snaps from one animation set to another -
- like his running animation is smooth and when he jumps or does another thing, it just suddenly changes without a smooth in-between, kinda like a Game & Watch character.

This probably sounds like the most parasocial thing to say, but I think you're one of the most charming UA-camrs I've ever encountered on this website. I was ready to subscribe after maybe 5 minutes lol, you're just so expressive and refreshing. I imagine you would be so much fun to hang around, your friends are blessed to have such a bright and positive person in their lives.
