I agree with the level you should start on, because I a lot of people think they should automatically go to a scat or hellcat not knowing how much power it is and not knowing the price of insurance and payments. Starting off with a V6 is not bad at all! We actually have both and we love them! Great content!
I went from a 15 sxt to a 19 scat charger. I wouldnt have minded keeping it until paid off because i believe it would have kept going since i have not had major issues with the car. Just worked my ass off to get the scat. If your in California also like me registration for thr sxt was about 300 a year i just got it for my scat and its 550 🥲. Insurance for me is 100 more and im filling up gas very often but im over it i just love the driving and comfort of these cars. No matter what enjoy what you got.
The 23 GT’s are over 40k here in Kansas City because they are the Last Call Editions. I bought 1 a few weeks ago. I wanted a Scat Pack but they are marked up to $75k.
Not an Altima fan, but the maxima with a cvt I really liked a lot. The interior was nice with attention to detail. The cvt was amazing. Floor it and there’s no power band, it’s 300hp the whole time until you lift. Cruising on the highway the revs stay low and get good mileage. The downside was it needed premium fuel.
It's good for an everyday drive but no power whatsoever. I have an SE 15' but when I was at the dealer, literally one of the employees told me "Hey man, if you're seriously eyeing a charger, go for an R/T because that's where power starts" and man, am I on a mission to sell my 15 to obtain a 2019.
The rt plus is a perfect daily driver. The extra 115hp is nice, but most scats are poorly optioned and are just too heavy to win races. There are few cars faster than the rt and slower than the scat, especially on the streets from a stop. Can’t get the torque down off the line and too heavy to mess with most quick cars from other manufacturers.
OMG, I love you! I am with you 100%, once you get an 8 you can't go down! LOL My Pontiac G8 GT just died and now I am eyeing the R/T! Money wise...might have to go for the GT..but if you say it's not bad, I am all for it. Thanks!!
The sxt looks bad and cheap, but the gt with good options and even 4 wheel drive I think would be a good daily if I didn’t have rts already. The hemi with active exhaust is an intoxicating sound.
People need to understand the true cost to own a car before making a decision. It's easy to determine over on Edmunds. I had a Scat Pack for 2.5 years and the true cost to own it is $1,320/month. I'm now driving a GT, which drives the cost down to $958/month. The cars look the same, have the same tires, same transmission. Sure, the GT is a little slower, but I was rarely doing ridiculous pulls in my Scat Pack and those were costing me $362/month. Simply put, it was a dumb financial decision to go with the Scat Pack.
I mean an R/T is also cheap it’s in the 36K where im at, im from South Texas by the way. And looking at the price of the GT it’s just $1K of a difference. And well you will get that HEMI engine and more horsepower. I guess i should have gone with a R/T as well. But everything has it’s time. Im happy with my ride anyways.❤️👍🏼
I think if you’re worried about impressing other people then you’re buying it for the wrong reason. Forget them! Get what YOU like and can afford. Honestly the GT really isn’t bad! Only difference is the engine. & if you’re worried about it, you can mod it. Change the exhaust and debadge it 😈
Im 16 im going to buy a car this june before i turn 17, im deciding between charger, challenger, 300 and infinite q50-60, just dont know if i want to go with a v6 or v8 for insurance reasons as i do not want to pay more than 650 a month all together car payment and insurance
I just came out of a 17 altima and got a 21 altima sr and I'm already like nah I gotta trade it especially for what I'm paying but it will be gone next year I honestly wanted the maxima but for the price I will take the L and go get a v8
@@SHEFAST oh ok yeah like I mentioned I just got this 21 sr altima and now I'm like yeah pay on this for a year and it's gone its definitely sloooow. So i gotta go v8 especially if I'm making big monthly payments
Being a 23 year old guy barely starting in life. The GT is a really good starter sports car in my personal opinion. All my life I only drove 4 cylinders up until 2 months ago I bought my 2023 GT and I love it. Granted I would like to buy the RT or the SRT but financially the GT is the safer choice. Especially when gas prices where I live at is damn near $6 per gallon.
Honest opinion would you look at a man in their 30s with a side eye in this car. Hear me out. I love the look of the car always have and if I can save money on gas and I spelt need all them horses
Yes it does absolutely 😂💯 I drove both the sxt and gt and their both slow and weak af. IfK your going to get a charger at least get an RT and up ifK not then you might as well get an Altima or Camry ifK you’re trying to just get a V6 charger lol💯
I've owned a Scat Pack Charger, a GT Charger and a Camry XSE, The Camry is super reliable, but boring. The Scat Pack is over-powered and expensive - unless you have some character flaw that requires you to drive like a maniac, it's dumb. The GT has all the power you need for the street and it looks almost exactly like the Scat Pack (main difference is the nose of the car and I actually prefer the GT).
I just bought an SXT. The V6 is no slouch. I'm super happy with it.
Congratulations!
Add the K&N cold air intake. You will hear a big difference and a little more power. 😉🤟🏼 cograts by the way. 🙏🏼
The V6 is slow af I drove both the sxt and gt and absolutely hated how slow they were
The V6 is honestly a slept on starter, just got a new 2020 SXT and i love it. Especially coming from a Jeep Compass.
I agree 100%!! Congrats, btw!
I had a jeep Cherokee and I just bought a 2021 Charger GT so far I’m happy
No it’s not stop lying to yourself
@@lfbaez wich one did you like better charger gt or sxt
I don’t like the sxt, but the gt with options I wouldn’t mind if I didn’t have an rt first. The pentastar is a good engine.

Thanks for watching! Definitely, the insurance alone could be as much as a car payment for some people.
Thanks
I bought mine for the AWD but I here you nothing will compare to the V8.
AWD is a good reason to get one! Congrats!

You’re right about that! Congratulations on your scat! Here in Va the registration isn’t bad but the property taxes will break the bank 😭

The Maximas are reallllyyyy nice

Yep, an R/T at minimum is what you need when you’re looking to get power!
The rt plus is a perfect daily driver. The extra 115hp is nice, but most scats are poorly optioned and are just too heavy to win races. There are few cars faster than the rt and slower than the scat, especially on the streets from a stop. Good point! I’m so content with my RT like.. zero desire for a scat LOL

I don't see the point of getting these cars if you don't have the Hemi. There are a lot of great v6 choices out there to consider.
That’s true. Also, turbocharged 4 cylinders are also becoming more prevalent too.
The point of getting a GT would be because whoever gets it likes and wants it. That's all there is to it.
Agreed if you’re going to get a charger then get an actual charger that has the power with the hemi in it
No point n having V8 with high gas prices if u r n big city with lots of traffic
I don't see a point in getting a v6 with rwd, but if you want a large car, an awd gt is perfect
For a first car yes the gt is amazing 💯💯💯
I agree! Especially if you know the hemi will get you in trouble 😂
The sxt looks bad and cheap, but the gt with good options and even 4 wheel drive I think would be a good daily if I didn’t have rts already. The hemi with active exhaust is an intoxicating sound.
You’re right about that!
They need to add AWD to the V8.
That would be nice!
They used to in the RT but they discontinued it in 2014
I enjoyed the video enough to subscribe, keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching & for the sub! More to come!

Kingsport TN. They want 46 for used 5.7s with about 20,000 on them
Sheesh! The prices are jacked here in Va too of course. Carmax had a used RT for like 40ish the market is CRAZY

I don’t have the money to buy a V-8 at the moment so I might go for a V6 with the GT but I’m not sure because I feel like I will be judged for it
