I was so nervous to do this but yours by far is the best video I watched on a step-by-step procedure I was able to get it all set up and save every module thank you so much for taking the time to do this.
For anyone yet to buy their scan tool its highly reconnmended you get the OBDLink EX.. Its made with the input of the FORScan Dev & has no switch (Uses a relay to switch electronically)... Certain features won't work with the manual HS/MS switch.

I just started with Forscan and you are the first person I've found who has made a video on how to backup your system with such detail that it's like you're teaching the first day of kindergarten, because that's what we newbies are, Forscan kindergarteners, and this is the kind of detail we need to make sure we back up our data without screwing up a $60K+ truck. Great Video. I have the connection, 327 and user activated on Forscan. I just needed a little more insite. I have to reset the bms on a 2017 f150. I recently installed a new battery. At least now I know how to dig in there a little more to find it and reset. Now I am off to finding a spreadsheet. Again, Thanks. I will connect to truck tomorrow and navigate and save those or some of the files.

Ricardo - you have produced, by far, the best Forscan how-to I've read or seen. I have 2 suggestions for improvement that I struggled with: #1. Just go ahead and buy an extended license b/c it make things much easier. Forscan will email an account key that is required in order to get the list of modules including as-built. #2. When highlighting an as-built module to run and save to your file follow these steps for ease of operation: highlight the first module, click run at the bottom of the screen, once all cells show click save-all to save to your folder, then (this is important step left out I think) click the stop button at the bottom to stop the program, go to the top and click on Configuration which will take you back to the module you just highlighted and saved, move to the next as-built module and highlight it, and repeat the run, save-all, stop, configuration process until finished. I think this may take a simple edit to this great video. Thank you

Yes, the 'Stop' part was unintuitive as hell. It seems as if it's just doing something important forever.
@@ricardosworkshop As built data is available on Ford website by entering VIN number and can be downloaded.
I believe Forscan is connecting to this site to access the as built files shown on screen. You must have Wifi or direct internet connection on laptop to do this.
Great video Ricardo! Big help to me, I just ordered the obd elm327 scanner/usb connector forscan recommended.
Got to looking at this because I need a new key fob for my 2014 f150, I only have 1 and that 1 quit functioning to open the locks but it will still lock it.
With dealer wanting $120 just for the key fob then $60 to program it I started seeing other options online that would allow me to do this since I dont have 2 working key fobs to program it manually.
Appreciate the info! I liked and subscribed! I'll be getting into more of this soon. I'll look to see if you've done any key fob programming vids.

That was very helpful would you know on a 2020 F350 using Forscan how to go about doing a manual regen. Also switching the turbo display on the dashboard to display the DEF fluid
But most importantly is the regen please.

Is there anyway to use FORScan to test door locks in my 2014 f150 XL crew cab ?? Driver's door lock doesn't work but everything else works great in the truck! All buttons work , could someone have turned it off because they only had 1 key and was afraid of locking the key inside. I made 2 new keys with auto start and adding the antenna and wire.

My question for you is going to be this - I work on multiple types of cars/trucks in the shop I'm in , are there other programs such as this for other manufacturers that you can recommend ?

Hello, so I've been thinking of converting a F350 XL to have power windows and locks.
There another guy on one of the forums that's physically converted all the doors and I guess the wiring harness under the dash was the same because of that. I also can't find a different part number for the same year on under dash wiring harnesses.
That being said it sounds like the doors and everything are running through the BMS. Do you know if and where there is a setting in forscan to turn it on?
I had a question did some mods now my bms is going off how do I change percent on it so it won't turn off when updating truck. looked on forums. said how to disable. but not change percent. sorry for long post thanks for all ur videos
Will forscan allow communication with the pcm to do air conditioning troubleshooting?
Probably asked and answered but does FORscan void my warranty? I just bought a 2011 F150 Ecoboost and a 3/36 warranty. I can certainly see the major pluses to FORscan but the one negative that would be a deal breaker would be if it voided my warranty. I've heard and read that making ANY changes to your vehicles computer will void the warranty especially if the failure leads back to whatever mod you did in the PCM/ECM. What's your experience with this? Anybody have any issues or successes dealing with your warranty?

I dont think a sensor will generate an error code.
And yes. You should be able to program a fob

When I clicked to purchase the License it redirecting me to another website. Does not stay on the Forscan website as your video is showing to log in and enter the Hardware ID. Has this changed since this video was made?
hi, i have a 19 edge with the transmission problem buck and jerk thing and i have been told that Forscan can reset the transmission module shift learning part but before i do anything is there anything i should know before i do this that may cause other problems or something like that? thanks

I'm new to ForScan. It seem ForScan is only for changing accessory settings and not trouble shooting mechanical problems like charging system, ECM and PCM? Is that correct?
So I've gotten registered and went through the process of hooking it up to my 2017 f150 Lariat, but still unsure of how to use the spreadsheet with the codes. Can someone go into a better explanation? I wanted to change my DRLs, but apparently I can't really change mine as it is Canadian. I would like to have the auto fold mirrors and the open/close windows on the remote if I am able.

hopefully u still respond, what if i didnt know to save all and was doing my change to enable the keyless entry. it works but my horn goes off if i hit unlock too many times. i was watching another youtube vid and i think i didnt change the number correctly . wish i found your page first. anything i can do to get my default back
SO basically, you cannot do any adaptations unless you have the specific code? With VCDS you get tick boxes which i guess ForScan doesnt have?

I tried to register yesterday. I put in all my information but when I got to the "CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION" field, I was not able to see the "Invitation Code" that other videos show that appears in other to prove that I'm not a spambot. I tried using three different browsers, on my laptop and cellphone and the problem is the same. Have you heard of any other viewers having the same problem?

I recommend saving one by one. Just incase something doesn't work. You can just revert to the previous setting.

I have a 2017 Ford F350 Lariat Ultimate with all the bells and whistles. I removed the bed installed a flatbed as I do a lot of cowboy work with gooseneck trailers. I don’t have any back up sensors or a tailgate camera and all of the alerts are going off informing me of the missing signals. My blinker lights flash normal but in the cab makes the rapid noise as if I have a bulb out. I just got the Forscan and tried deleting the DTC codes but they never go away. Any thoughts on how to go about correcting any of these issues?
Deletingvthe codes will only temporarily remove them. You have to adjust the block settings for each issue.
I have a hp chrome laptop core13 8th gen will it work on this to download and connect to forscan?
So I tried this my truck is tuned. Installed a trailer brake but when I hook it up it can’t Id vehicle. Has me enter pcm part # which is JL3A-12A650-AKA for my truck and it says unable to ID vehicle again. I bought the cable from the link on the forscan site. Anyone have any info. Is it because I can’t register now because they locked the site because of the Russia stuff?

Awesome vehicle and I am lookin forward to some light / stage 1 tuning and I hear FORscan is an excellent place to start! I may just have bad reasoning skills but what link should I use for a 2016 Ford Explorer Sport with the 3.5 tt engine. All I see is MY 11-15 available. Nope. No explanation posp up. If uou follow the spreadsheet, you shiild be fine. I always recommend backing up your original settings.

brother, I have a problem with MY KEY on my Ford Escape 2017, I cannot remove this feature from my can, then I ordered BBFLY OBD2 Diagnostic interface. I tried so hard to remove that feature from my car through the FORSCAN program, but no way.
