I just started with Forscan and you are the first person I've found who has made a video on how to backup your system with such detail that it's like you're teaching the first day of kindergarten, because that's what we newbies are, Forscan kindergarteners, and this is the kind of detail we need to make sure we back up our data without screwing up a $60K+ truck. Ricardo - you have produced, by far, the best Forscan how-to I've read or seen. I have 2 suggestions for improvement that I struggled with: #1. Just go ahead and buy an extended license b/c it make things much easier. Forscan will email an account key that is required in order to get the list of modules including as-built. #2. When highlighting an as-built module to run and save to your file follow these steps for ease of operation: highlight the first module, click run at the bottom of the screen, once all cells show click save-all to save to your folder, then (this is important step left out I think) click the stop button at the bottom to stop the program, go to the top and click on Configuration which will take you back to the module you just highlighted and saved, move to the next as-built module and highlight it, and repeat the run, save-all, stop, configuration process until finished. I think this may take a simple edit to this great video. Thank you
@@ricardosworkshop As built data is available on Ford website by entering VIN number and can be downloaded. I believe Forscan is connecting to this site to access the as built files shown on screen. You must have Wifi or direct internet connection on laptop to do this.

Great vids Ricardo. I have a 2017 Ford F350 Lariat Ultimate with all the bells and whistles. I removed the bed installed a flatbed as I do a lot of cowboy work with gooseneck trailers. I don’t have any back up sensors or a tailgate camera and all of the alerts are going off informing me of the missing signals. My blinker lights flash normal but in the cab makes the rapid noise as if I have a bulb out. I just got the Forscan and tried deleting the DTC codes but they never go away. Any thoughts on how to go about correcting any of these issues?

At least now I know how to dig in there a little more to find it and reset. Now I am off to finding a spreadsheet. Again, Thanks. Is there anyway to use FORScan to test door locks in my 2014 f150 XL crew cab ?? Driver's door lock doesn't work but everything else works great in the truck! All buttons work , could someone have turned it off because they only had 1 key and was afraid of locking the key inside. I made 2 new keys with auto start and adding the antenna and wire.

Great video Ricardo! Big help to me, I just ordered the obd elm327 scanner/usb connector forscan recommended. Got to looking at this because I need a new key fob for my 2014 f150, I only have 1 and that 1 quit functioning to open the locks but it will still lock it. With dealer wanting $120 just for the key fob then $60 to program it I started seeing other options online that would allow me to do this since I dont have 2 working key fobs to program it manually. Appreciate the info! I liked and subscribed! I'll be getting into more of this soon. I'll look to see if you've done any key fob programming vids.

I put in all my information but when I got to the "CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION" field, I was not able to see the "Invitation Code" that other videos show that appears in other to prove that I'm not a spambot. I tried using three different browsers, on my laptop and cellphone and the problem is the same. Have you heard of any other viewers having the same problem?

Hello, Why do I have to use ForScan after upgrading from a 4” sync to 8” sync 3. The system has automatically updated to my Vin#. I am trying to understand the programing process and Thanks for all your educational videos.
I'm new to ForScan. It seem ForScan is only for changing accessory settings and not trouble shooting mechanical problems like charging system, ECM and PCM? Is that correct?
I will say, if you have iOS forscan does not work. Even with the crossover app. It’s just can’t run it. I tried connecting and it kept saying no adapter found. All the new MacBooks have no USB port forcing you to use a adapter. So you have your elm adapter connecting to another adapter instead of connecting straight to the computer causing this error. I recommend sticking to a windows computer
I've watched 3 of your videos, and you've done literally everything but ACTUALLY MADE A CHANGE TO ONE OF THE settings. I mean the setup, switching the modes, but EVERYTHING EXCEPT ACTUALLY MAKING AND SAVING ANY CHANGES WHATSOEVER. Do you have a video of you making a change to literally any of the settings?

Will forscan work across ALL Ford models or just the one you register with. Ex: I signed up with a '15 Escape, was successful in adding navigation to my FE. Now I want to use forscan to troubleshoot my '13 Focus. When I connect the USB pass through to the Focus, the program doesn't recognize MY Focus, instead reads off stored information for a 1999 1.8L ECO boost Focus. Is this because I didn't register with my 2.0L '13 Focus?
What should you do when it says No ELM found when your trying to connect to vehicle. I've double checked my connections, made sure it was switched to HS and the vehicle is on power mode. Thanks

Deletingvthe codes will only temporarily remove them. You have to adjust the block settings for each issue.

Nope. No explanation posp up. If uou follow the spreadsheet, you shiild be fine. I always recommend backing up your original settings.

Any idea why it would I would get " unable to connect to vehicle"? 2017 F250 Truck is "on". Confirms adapter connected but doesn't see the truck.
Driver installed?
If its USB, it should detect it right away.

Will forscan work across ALL Ford models or just the one you register with. Ex: I signed up with a '15 Escape, was successful in adding navigation to my FE. Now I want to use forscan to troubleshoot my '13 Focus. When I connect the USB pass through to the Focus, the program doesn't recognize MY Focus, instead reads off stored information for a 1999 1.8L ECO boost Focus. Is this because I didn't register with my 2.0L '13 Focus?
It should work on every newer model ford. But each might work a little different. It shouldn't say 1999... thats wierd

What should you do when it says No ELM found when your trying to connect to vehicle. I've double checked my connections, made sure it was switched to HS and the vehicle is on power mode. Thanks
It's probably the driver. Or bad connection.
