I've seen every Arnold movie except Junior. I just could not wrap my head around the concept.
It's definitely a weird one, @eddier8576. I'm not a big fan of Junior, but it has its moments.
@eddier8576 why not ghey?
Arnold is a legend
Arnold gets $75k for the first Terminator and $37m for Twins?
That's right @bettersteps, there are some real surprises I encounter when doing research, and when something is as weird as this, I double-check before publishing the video.
He actually signed a percentage take on royalties for the long term success, he was paid nothing until the first box office ticket was sold. Twins was a huge success that is the reason he continues to makes millions from it.
Backend deal? He took a percentage of the take. No way they paid him 37 million upfront
@@noelht1 Does it matter? It's still $37,000,000.00.
That's right@@noelht1! Backend deals often bring in more money than upfront payments, especially if the movie becomes a hit.
Running man and total recall are my 2 favorite
He was already a millionaire through realestate investments before movies.
So he likes to tell people. Whether or not it is true remains to be seen
wrong
No
How do you know hmo?
Ah yes and all the ones in the comments that say no well good luck to them and because he was already well off he wouldn't take a role he didn't want to .He started a labour hire / construction business early in the piece with Franco columbo and with that and the money he made from bodybuilding he invested into real estate very early in the piece
Terminator Dark Fate was not a Super Hit. It was a Box Office Bomb. In fact it was one of the biggest Box Office Bomb of all time. The studios lost around $122,000,000.00. Definitely not a Super Hit. For that flop Arnold got paid around $20,000,000.00 not $13M.
Nice...when its pure Action its a win, when Arnold make good acting the Movie flops. Seems like quiet Movies with great performance (Maggie, Aftermath) is not what Arnoldfans want to see.
Please make one for DiCaprio
He has it coming, @TripleMachine! He's too big of a star for me to ignore 😉
Batman and Robin was a big flop.
The movie was terrible but it made money
I don't understand some of the classifications. Running Man had a budget of $27M and a box office of $38.1M which shows a profit of $11.1M or 41%, Red Heat had a budget of $29M and a box office of 34.9M showing a lower profit of $5.9M or a 20% payback. Yet, The Running Man was classified a Semi Hit and Red Heat was classified as a hit?
Thank you for pointing this out, @jimglassford9967! That's a mistake right there, I admit. I'll have to be more careful going forward. Great observation!
🤣 The Expandables... Only mispelt once but that was hilarious. I don't think they'll be very flattered.
Thanks for spotting that, @FrancisXLord! I'm more careful with spelling now...
Did you voice the records for the new English file course books ?
Arnold took longer to lift off the top pay launchpad than his pal Sly but it eventually worked out in the late 80s.
These are fun videos great job , Should dive into Jack Nicholson movies paychecks sometime !
It's heartwarming to see that people enjoy my work; thank you so much for sharing your feedback-it keeps me going. Rest assured, I'll unearth the paychecks of that axe-swinging genius, even if I have to climb up to the Cuckoo's Nest to do it.
@@BoxOfficeJoe Thank you and your welcome !
@@kellywilson8440 Update: Jack Nicholson's paychecks reveal is now live: ua-cam.com/video/AkSMzLx2Ozo/v-deo.html
Enjoy!
@@BoxOfficeJoe Awesome one my way to check it out , Thank you !
Arnold got his first million in real estate deals....
He wasted time being the Governator. He should have stuck to making films and more money.
When you are rich more money isnt a thing. Arnold made no films bec the money. He searched for new things to do like politics, books, to be only an (good payed) Actor wont fulfill him.
@@drhkleinert8241 Well paid^
Is this adjusted for inflation?
Thank you for the question @overtonpendulum2071! These figures are from back then and have not been adjusted for inflation.
You forgot "around the world in 80 days" - 2004.
From $2,000 to $45,000,000 in T2
What did he make off of pumping iron?
Good question, @robertmicheaux3905. I left 'Pumping Iron' out of the video because it's a documentary. Maybe that was a bad decision, since 'Pumping Iron' played a significant role in boosting his fame and establishing his career. He earned $50k from it.
@@BoxOfficeJoe You miss "The long goodbye, Scavengers Hunt, Jayne Mansfield Story". problem is that things who made for TV cant judge as a box office.
Why did his pay go down so much for the three Expendables movies?
Great question, @gustaaf1892! He was only in supporting roles, or even just a cameo in the first one. Plus, with so many stars involved, the paychecks got spread pretty thin!
Not a bad video. Would say that the AI voice really isn't clicking for me
Now that's a very useful comment, thank you @RalphVB! I'm in the process of figuring out myself and my channel, so ALL feedback is much appreciated! I'm ready to change my voice if that's the wish of my audience. 😉 Let's see what happens.
@@BoxOfficeJoe I agree. Interesting content but the AI voice is likely to send your channel into obscurity.
Thank you, @monikaw1179! It means a lot to get some feedback, and I take it seriously, so I decided to change my voice. Check out my latest video and let me know what you think. 😉
@@BoxOfficeJoe yes, it's much better. What about using your own voice?
Did some tests @@monikaw1179 and I don't really like the outcome. I may circle back to it down the line.
the 3 big actors Brad Pitt, Leonardo, & George Clooney.
Big names, @roddizon2242! I'll enjoy researching them! 😉
Typos in the movie names. The expAndables 3 ? Collateral dEmage ??
My bad! Thank you for spotting these @francoisleveille409! I shall take extra caution going forward.
The first Conan was a successful movie and he got only 250k ??
Dude did you change your voice or what?
Might wanna spellcheck. I count 3+ errors
Jim Carey please
Great pick @darwinarceo5727 - added to the work queue 😉
Tom Cruise
Awesome pick @rickhaun! His figures are astonishing, I'll reveal them soon! Stay tuned!
Mission accomplished @rickhaun! Tom Cruise's paychecks revealed: ua-cam.com/video/m1FxgqX_xK4/v-deo.html
I thought he got the biggest paycheck in Twins
I expected more...
How much is that after taxes.
Didn’t he earn over 60M from Kindergarten Cop because he received a percentage from the backend?
Самый сложный фильм для него это терминатор
I love twiins but calling it a blockbuster??? Ha!
Red Sonja, Commando, Raw Deal. . .terrible movies. But other than those a pretty solid career. True Lies one of the best movies period. Much like Tom Cruise you know what you’re gonna get. I miss the action star days of the 80’s and 90’s.
Only morons say period.
Even after taxes he’s doing pretty well. Lots of money left to invest and become even richer.
Only 75K for the terminator? Sure it was a springboard for him, but he got absolutely fucked by Cameron!
Thank you for pointing this out @noelht1. He got only $75k for the first Terminator because it was a relatively low-budget film, and he wasn't a huge star yet. He took the role for the career boost, which ended up paying off big time.
Commando❓❓❓❓ codice magnum❓❓❓❓😱😱😱😱
