It’s amazing to see how much of the budget these Large scale actors really get. I work in the film industry and every 2 weeks or see we get a production report which shows all of the upcoming movies/shows that are coming within the next couple of months so the union members can start shopping themselves to work on said shows. I always look at the budget to the film and look up who’s acting in it because that literally decides how many hours we’re likely to work in a week. A show/movies can have a 50m budget but if A Denzel or Samuel L or Deniro or DiCaprio is starting you know they’re going to get nearly 40% of the budget and couple that with the other actors the crew would be left with maybe 25m to disperse over the duration of the show that may be filming anywhere from 1 month or even up to 10 months. I ALWAYS try to work on the mid budget with lesser known actor shows because you will work longer and make more money.

Also you always read about hneetodays movies need to make not double but closer to 2.5x their budget to break even depending on the blockbuster sized scale of the production. Now i hear its over 2.5x. It would be interesting to have that info also if it's possible and not exceedingly difficult

Imagine taking about 50% of the entire budget of a movie to only for the movie to break even.

I think its a good idea what u did with these cards. I think maybe in the future u should do videos like these from time to time with the actors that didnt have this type of cards from previous videos ( sylvester s. arnold s. , harrison f. ant the rest of them) to be updated.

Counting orange as flops because of marketing costs. That's 13 flops, 30 successful movies & over 1.1 billion in personal life time revenue. That's an incredible 4 decades for an actor & still going strong.

2 flops & one of them is a movie I love. Legend from 1985 is awesome. It had a woodlands boy with a fairy that went out to save a princess from dark evil. Does that sound a bit like Zelda? This movie may have inspired Nintendo a bit.

A lot of acors get paid one of two ways, they take a full payout of a increased salary that comes out of the budget or they take a smaller paid salary from the budget and then In their contract they get payed off of residualcs, ticket sales by moviegoers, a percentage of themovies gross kind of like a commission and many other ways. So while his payout we saw in this video as an actor in his movies may not seem like a lot, this could only be a third of what SLJ really made.

I want my money back from Maverick. What a steaming pile of turds that movie was. ty
