Fantastic overview of the event Chris, boy that Wilga sure demonstrated the gear pretty well! Some truly exceptional models on display for sure, thank you so much for taking us along to Muncie with you my friend!
Wow. Nicely done, Chris. That Wilga pilot put the landing gear to the test! Although not normally a fan of the Axis, that JU87 was my favorite. Followed closely by the DH Hornet. Beautiful stuff! Thanks for taking time to film and edit for us. *** When do we see the Hustler in the air? ***
Was hoping to see that SE5 or the Schuckert fly. What a surprise...a couple of high wing civilian planes (L-4 still basically a hotter looking paint job on a cub) on the podium. This kind of stuff is what stifles the hobby. Great looking, well made planes that aren't especially "hot", easier to fly scale and take the wins from other aircraft that take more engineering to build, and skill to fly. Color me surprised.😑 Real or imagined, it comes across as "Old Guy's Club." (And I'm 57😂) They all looked great, and were well flown. Thought that Mentor was really well flown scale. It's a trainer...I guess it should be.😉
Can't Muncie afford a paved runway. The grass destroys scale effect and reduces the choices of aircraft thqt can compete. Excellent video. Is there a place I can see the names of the winners?
The grass is wonderful to fly from. Site 4 is my favorite at the IAC. There is a perfectly suitable paved runway. You eve try to fly a scale WW1 or WW2 aircraft off a paved runway? The full scale were designed to operate off grass.
Which aircraft was your favorite from the competition?? I think mine was the DH.103 Hornet. :) ▼HELP SUPPORT THIS CHANNEL▼ Join the Patreon Team ► www.patreon.com/thercgeek Buy Me a Coffee ► www.buymeacoffee.com/thercgeek Horizon Hobby ► bit.ly/HorizHby Legend Hobby ► bit.ly/LegendHobby FMS Hobby ► bit.ly/FMSHobby StarBond CA Glue ► bit.ly/StarBondCA (Use Code "Geek10" at checkout to save 10% OFF your purchase!) The dive with the siren performed by the Ju-87 was impressive!
It was really cool
very nice... thanks for sharing ! have a great week...
That is a great video Chris. The wilga was stompin' around wasn't it?:)
I really like the AG Cat, that was cool. AirHammer out!!

Wow Chris, great job capturing the event! You even managed to get my one good landing.

That Agcat!!
I love the siren on the Stuka. Where can I find more information on it? I'd love to print one for a friend's plane.
Scale is where its at that RAF F.E.2 is so cool!! Thanks for sharing!!! Any update on the Hustler???
Great video! I really need to get my Stuka out more. I also have dive siren on mine but it's hidden in the cowl. :)
It's a real shame only 40 pilots showed up. I remember when IRCHA had over 1000 pilots.
Still can't get the grounds keeper at the AMA National Flying site to trim the runway grass shorter for scale aircraft to operate from.
When I was there in 2018 it was like a putting green. I love that site.
They are all so good looking and great flyers. Great video Chris❤ What was that 2nd plane WWI?
That is a Grumman Ag Cat
@@Thercgeek Thanks

WOW!! Beautiful... the SE-5 didn't fly? ... that woulda been my fav!
It didn’t, but I wasn’t able to get it filmed.
