Wings of WONDER! Phenomenal Scratch-Built RC RAF F.E.8 Biplane Flight

- The F.E.8 was an early British "scout" aircraft, designed from the outset as a single-seat fighter. This example designed and scratch-built by the pilot Keith Numbers was an exceptional model. At 1/3 scale, it has a 120” span and weighs about 32 lbs. The engine is a Rotomotor 85FSI inline twin 4-stroke, swinging a 26x8 pusher prop which sounds awesome in flight! I love seeing unique models like this at events.

What a superb model. Only thing missing is the Gnome engine spinning but I guess that would be difficult to pull off. Nicely flown also.
That is the cool thing about this hobby. So many different facets of the hobby. They all require special skills. We can all appreciate what it takes to build a plane of this caliber. Thanks for the vid Chris.
Thats awesome folks
beautiful !!! ....tnx for sharing...
Awesome!
Love that engine sound!👍
Love the Detail on WW1 Fighters and the sound of the motor matches nicely.
What a beautiful flying machine
Now that's a beautiful old ultralight.....with guns!!
Seriously, that's cool.
That's something you don't see every day. Beautiful and flies real good too.
You got that right!
Very cool & it's a pusher prop
The original savage bobber
Haha, I can’t I see that now 😆
Absolutely phenomenal!! Exquisite detail, wonderful sound, and fantastic in the air! Great modeling skills and piloting. Where was that? Looks nice and green; glad to see you enjoying all the RC events on your side of the Mississippi!
Thanks brother! This was out at the ama Nats.
@@Thercgeek Awesome my friend 😎👍
Fantastic model, looks and sounds wonderfully realistic. Not sure about the description in the heading. As far as I'm aware the FE8 served until 1917 with the Royal Flying Corps. The RAF was not formed until April 1918 and I don't think they inherited any FE8 type pushers.
That is a bit confusing, I agree. RAF was the maker of the original aircraft and actually stands for Royal Aircraft Factory.
@@Thercgeek Ah yes, I get it now. Was a bit confusing, thanks for clarifying.
The opposite of a hustler...Did the Vodel ever actually exist? The sound of the radial is tremendous!
Did what ever exist? The FE8 was an actual airplane built by the Royal Aircraft Factory if that’s what you’re asking? This particular model isn’t mine though, it’s one I filmed at an event.
@@Thercgeek Ich konnte dieses Flugzeug bisher nicht.
