Watch our jewelry review on Jlo and Ben Afleck's green diamond engagement ring. It is a stunning 8.5ct natural green diamond ring. This is not the first colored diamond Jennifer Lopez has received, on their first engagement Ben had given her a 6.1ct pink diamond estimated to cost 2.5 million and on Mark Anthony's a 8.5ct blue diamond estimated to cost 4 million. We will do a very basic deep dive on colored diamonds, their characteristics and what makes Jl's ring so special!

I love the shape and cut of the diamonds. The mounting is beautiful. It is very pretty, and, if she loves green, it’s perfect! I hope they can be really happy.

It is so rare and beautiful because it is not the traditional White/Clear diamond and not the Emerald Green diamond. That cut/style fits her hand beautifully. From the look of it, it is sort of like a Peridot color. She is Leo and I am Leo. I love that Peridot color.

I realise it's a super rare diamond, but the green is too 'washed out' for my taste. I would much prefer a Columbian emerald.

Yes it does look really similar, even her pink diamond ring has yellow prongs too! But I doubt it simply because if your paying a few million for the stone I don't think your worried about a few hundred for the band, hahah.

My favorite was the blue diamond. I actually have blue diamond studs. Which I believe were heat treated. They are not as saturated as J.L. blue diamond though. Mine are a pale aquamarine shade.

Her green is very unique it looks a lot like my birthstone peridot. I do not have a green diamond, however I have a green Moissanite, that did test to be genuine and it is beautiful, a bit darker than her diamond, but very pretty.
The color of some green diamonds almost have a similar hue to Chanel N°19

Why is it, when you buy a ring that is mass produced the diamonds are do beautiful and shiny then after a little while they start to look dull and awful? I always pay attention to the cut, color and clarity however they seem to end up in worse shape than expected. It's very frustrating. Thanks
Yes colored diamonds are very rare and beautiful but please check your facts & stats.
The “average person” can most definitely afford these colors as well. Probably not a 5-10ct rock but smaller sure!

Most people could probably afford a lab created colored diamond or yellow but no deffinitly not a 1ct natural fancy colored diamond...I didn't realize most people had a good 100K to drop on a ring.. you should check your pricing

Even a lab diamond that is colored like Jennifer’s can cost well over $100,000USD
Its a beautiful ring, its just not for me. Im sure its expensive and worth every penny. But fancy colored diamonds such as these are definitely more of an acquired taste and not for everybody. I still love my traditionally colored white or even brownish colored diamonds. But thats just me.

It’s a beautiful ring, but something always draws me to the blue or pink. Probably because green looks better on my skin so I don’t like it as much. Lol. Always like what you can’t have

Do you think she has actually kept all these rings? The only one I can see her keeping is the one that Mark Anthony gave to her, so she can give it to her daughter. I mean, it’s not like she is going to wear them.
She once said in an interview that she gave Ben back the pink diamond. I wonder what he did with it.
@@B-ch6uk he probably sold it. I can't imagine him ever gifting it to another woman. Also, the provenance value of the pink diamond probably made it worth even more to folks who care about that sort of stuff.
