I have a cushion cut engagement ring but I am looking at radiant cut eternity bands. It sounds like a strange pairing but if you see it in person it looks amazing!
The best Radiant ratio is between 1.2 and 1.25. The best Cushion ratio is between 1.26 and 1.3 The best Oval ratio is between 1.4 and 1.45. All 3 are rectangular. The Radiant’s middle width will be wider than a Cushion’s middle width. The Cushion’s middle width will be wider than a Oval’s middle width. Facets that extend to the perimeter of the stone are the most desirable.
Does the table have that much effect on the brilliance? Say if 2 diamonds were the same color, clarity, carat, depth %, but one has a 59% Table and the other is a perfect 65%, will the difference in brilliance/sparkle be that different?
I am thinking of buying a 5ct radiant with a rose gold setting. I heard if the setting is a color then you can go lower on the color of the diamond because it won’t be that noticeable. Is that true? And can you recommend a color and clarity grade for the ring I described
Hi! Thank you for reaching out, please email info@laurenb.com with your inquiry and a design consultant will reach out will more info and recommendations.
With your expertise in the area of diamond cuts, you can likely answer my question. Isn't it the length-to-width ratio, along with the polish and symmetry of the diamond that makes the cut (faceting) excellent or ideal? My diamond's length-to-width- ratio is 1.23; that's considered ideal for the original radiant cut, but my stone's faceting pattern looks more like the example you showed where the facets are more spread out and wider. The symmetry on my diamond is rated as Good by the GIA; maybe that's where the faceting isn't ideal?
We just upgraded my diamond to a radiant and while shopping around, I noticed quite a few jewelry stores & online that lumped Cushions with Radiant. It caused some confusion for me at first. We just focused on the dimensions to get around that factor but I'd like to know why they're commonly mixed.
Probably the best video online for educating diamond noobs like me. Much appreciated! Super detailed.

Hi! We will definitely keep this in mind for the future.
Very nice
The band is exactly what I am looking for! What is the name of the band?
Hi, this is actually a temporary band. It holds the stone in place for demonstration.

It depends on other factors but usually hard to determine from average view
Can't wait for pears! :)
Coming soon- stay tuned!

What are the dimensions of that Moissanite stone?
How much is the one you like?
Are these brilliant cut or crushed ice?
Hi, there's a mix of both
The crushed ice looks better to me.... too bad they don't deal with them
Is there such a thing as a radiant cushion??
No

Hi, is the fluorescence an issue of concern? What level of fluorescence acceptable, faint to medium? Thank you.
Fluorescence is dependant on each diamond; for the most part it will not have any visible effect under normal lighting conditions
Thank you
