I thought you were gonna talk me into something; you actually taught me something!!! I didn’t realize jewels and jewelry are as delicate as they are so I guess I learned two lessons
Lol why is everybody on here hating on engagement rings??? Like I get hating on the diamond industry because of blood diamonds and pseudo-monopolies and what-not, and I get not spending stupid amounts of money that you don’t have on a simple piece of jewelry, but proposing to your girl with a ring is a bad thing now? Am I missing something? Like what? 🤦🏻♂️😂

Lady here and in all honesty you are right lol 😂 but you can still get her her dream at a better cost when you got for a lab diamond vs one that had to be pulled from the ground. This rings are still gorgeous and still gives a wow factor while being real and not a blood diamond or breaking your pockets. Especially if you are a couple just starting out in this day in age. Need more money for other things vs a ring that cost more or equal to a down payment.
I need help should I go for 1.8mm or 2mm ? For a pave band with elongated cushion over 2ct Because I feel like the 1.8 looks kinda small and I know she would wear it a lot
I don't get people who like thin bands - it just looks weird having a thin boring metal band and a stone sitting right on top. 2-3mm pave at least is the way to go to enhance the beauty of the diamond
Unless im leaving the house my rings are sepeerate in my jewlery box and ivusually just were my wedding band will help your dimond stay nicer longer never wah your hands with your rings on soap damages them
Me too, I actually chose really thin bands with tiny cluster diamonds because I like the dainty look. But I’ve seen so many people on reddit saying I’m doomed and they’d bend and I’ve been super nervous since. How long have you worn your rings and did they bend?
Exactly...being wise with your money is important. A woman who is swept up by such obvious marketing ploys is a red flag. What's important is LOVE obviously, and a good woman has her priorities straight. A needlessly expensive ring is not one of them - and she'd ACTUALLY CARE about the man not wanting to break his bank anyways. Money is better spent elsewhere, and there are tons of very viable (even better) options instead of the obvious scam that are diamonds.
I paid 1200 on .40 carats ring 💍 to propose to my lady after dating her for 6 years. If she loves you she will say yes gentlemen no matter the size of the ring or how long you wait to do it.

The first mistake to avoid is buying the engagement ring in the first place. She wants a ring? Get her a box of Crackerjack and wish her luck. If you make if to 10 years, maybe she'll have earned a decent man-made diamond by then. Diamond ring... What does the man get?
If you don't trust yourself making the right choice in a spouse and/or don't trust her to be a good spouse/person, don't get engaged and don't get married. Starting a marriage without trust and with being suspicious is NOT going to end well for you, the spouse and especially for any kids that might come into the picture. They're going to have attachment issues at the very least. That said, a man in a feminine role mad that a woman is getting a ring and he's not & asking what he's being gifted....well, that's just going to increase your chances of attracting only masculine women, but idk maybe that's what you want. 🤷🏻♀️
Scariest thing to man a female who know about diamonds😂
😂😂 But it’s a GREAT thing to be educated about jewelry. Then you know what you’re getting and won’t be duped.

Look up the origin of engagement rings
Yes you can tell who’s broke.❤
@fightsportspace7327 yeah, several thousand years ago as a symbol of love. Hence why we wear it on the left ring finger

What mm do you recommend for a size 8.5? Im still looking for a dainty look with a 3ct oval center that can sit flush with an eternity wedding band
1.8 if you want it thinner, up to a 2.0.
Can also add a halo if you want more finger coverage and for the band to look thinner since the halo will make the center stone look larger.
