This movie gets some flack, but the ending was great. Beside not only not following the cliche norm of the heroes saving the day, but the realization that judgement day is inevitable, but when the guy asks whos in charge, and John says I am, after 3 movies, it felt like a great payoff of him finally accepting his destiny.
The movie lost its essence since Cameron was not directing. It had way too much CGI and very little practical effects which made T2 so great. Arnold literally didn't want to do the movie until Cameron told him to but to ask for no less than $30 million or something like that.
Thats one of the reasons i dislike it. Judgement day is NOT inevitable. It happened in the original timeline. T1 and T2 are basically altered universe. Skynet knew he lost in the original timeline so his only chance was to try again in a different, parallel timeline/universe. You can't change the past, you only create alternate universe, which is what Skynet did by sending the first Terminator back.
it catches flack because it spits in the face of the message from the first movies, you know the "there is no fate but what you make for yourself" and says the future is predetermined, thats why people don't like it, even if it is time travel paradox accurate, since for John to exist the machines had to take over, invent time travel and send the first terminator back to 1984 to kill Sarah, it solves that causality loop, so for time travel nerds like myself it's a love/hate thing, we like that it faced the facts of the causality loop but we hated thats how it had to be.
@@DanielRichards644 1. People are babies who can't accept that 'Playing God' is often futile, or , worse, a bad idea. In the first 2 movies both sides are trying to change the future, hence, playing God. 2. Like you said, this ending solves the Time Travel paradox. But there's also some strange Dignity at the end: humanity survives the nukes and with John Conner in charge we know we will survive the machines too. It's a fight for survival, but humanity has done that before and several times and because of that toughness dominates the planet. Sometimes its necessary to struggle.
One of the biggest reasons is movie got flack was because it came out way later than it should have and it leaned way too heavily on references to Terminator 2. It tried way too hard to remind everyone that it was Terminator instead of just being its own movie
I saw this with my kids in the theater the first week it came out. I thought Kristanna Sommer Loken played a completely unexpected and excellent terminator. Not just another pretty face. She was terrifying.
Agree 100%. She was amazing.
Она была ниочем, совершенно не страшная, вобще не сравнится по уровню актёрского мастерства и харизмы с Робертом Патриком
The plot of the first movie was to kill Sarah so she wouldn’t give birth to John because he leads the resistance. The plot of T3 is to survive so he can lead the resistance.
An underrated film indeed. I don't know why it gets passed over by the general consensus. And Kristanna Loken definitely played a great role. I was hoping to see her career sprout after this. Awesome reaction guys!
Because it's garbage.
It is so bad, as well as all following Terminator movies post Cameron. Some people enjoy bad movies though, so i guess.. I've seen people who liked Alien Vs Predator too lol.
@@jcrosato
I think many people who do reaction videos are good at selling that they like almost everything they watch or listen to, even if they don't in their head.
It’s bc it can’t hold up to the other 2, not that it’s necessarily “bad”
Your garbage @@lonelyboy1977
Earl Boen - RIP Jan 2023 - was in the most Terminator movies after Arnie. His psychiatrist was the glue holding the three together.
Dam ..didn't know he passed..I wanted to see him in one more Terminator movie and have him in a mental hospital talking about what he witnessed that night in T2
@@BigBoss-zi5ss The Terminator TV series is a great sequel to Terminator 2. Dr. Silberman does make an appearance, but is played by a different actor.
He died this year ?
Oh, dang, that slipped by me, I had no idea. Thanks for sharing. Yes I remember him fondly from the first two Terminator films, the second of which I watched in the theater, good memories. RIP Mr. Boen.
He also played in some of the episodes of Three’s Company.
She was only after John after she "bumped into" him at the vet's. He wasn't on the list since he lived off the grid and couldn't be located. The terminator got lucky, hence the surprised reaction after tasting his blood. Her mission modified.
I know this movie gets some flak but I still love it. Sure it aint T2, or even T1 but I still like it. And the ending for me makes this a solid one. Much different then most typical happy endings.
This one actually grew on me. When I first saw it back in the day I didn't like it, but eventually I came to really like it.
This film should win the award for Best Giant-Vehicle Chase Scene. Ever. For T fans, do they simply take everyone else's word for all others and refuse to see them? THEIR LOSS. But - oh well - they're not much of a T-fan anyway, then.
The ending is really great. It ties everything together. They should have stopped.
The ending was pretty scary. Leaving the theater, it was a relief to see everything still normal.
@@bryanb3352tied in everything?
I always thought this was a good continuation of the story. Not a perfect movie but alot better than sequels made today.
I'm glad you are continuing the series, most reactors stop after the 2nd movie, that's why you guys are my favorite reactors
well lets be honest, nothing after T2 is really worth watching as it shits all over the first 2 movies.
@@DanielRichards644 If you're a hardcore Terminator fan, like me, you'd learn how to enjoy them. Sure, they're not as good as the original two and never will be, but they still have charm to them. Terminator 3 was the first Terminator film to use a female terminator model which was pretty cool, Salvation explored a realistic take on the future war which no other entry in the series has done, Terminator Genisys basically explored alternate timelines which was interesting to see, and Dark Fate while probably being the worst one here it is still a decent action movie in itself that incorporated an interesting terminator with cool abilities (Rev-9). So I think it's pretty unfair saying that it taints the reputation but hey each to their own right?
T3 is certainly underrated, glad you watched!
Yep, agree!
I highly recommend the Schwarzenegger comedies "Twins" and "Kindergarten Cop".
Absolute classics
I second that,My friend.✌🏻

I actually really love this movie.
Me too, i don't understand the hate!
@@07Kristin11 I don’t hat it, it just seems really cheesy compared to it’s two predecessors. The guy playing John just doesn’t fit to me. And Claire Daines seems over the top.
I love T3 also. Obviously, not as good as the first two movies cinematically speaking. But T3 is a fun action romp with some interesting ideas in the franchise (I mean they literally showed the end of the world and the machines taking over which was pretty badass) and Arnold is still awesome as always. The car chase scene is one of my favorite action set pieces next to other greats like the highway scene in Matrix 2 and the opening to Final Destination 2 etc.

The most realistic Terminator movie : a good laughs, drama, and then Everybody dies. °°
T3 is actually great, makes for a dope trilogy. And Terminator: Salvation is a decent addition too.
Salvation gets a lot of shit but I absolutely loved the portrayal of the future in it, and the addition of the more rudimentary T-600's and the whole story with Sam Worthington's character
Agreed with the both of you. Wish they had... And I just realized I was about to give spoilers. Nvm
Yes! I hope they go on with the series and watch Salvation! I love all the Terminator movies!
I prefer this than Genisys
That line how John said:
Do you even remember me?? Sarah Connor, blowing up Cyberdyne, Hasta la vista baby?? Ring any bells?
Terminators response: That was a different t - 101.
John: You guys come from assembly line or something?
Terminator: Exatly
16:50 Fun fact, they were gonna cut this crane sequence with him swinging thru the buildings from the movie because it was too expensive. Arnold Schwarzenegger paid a million out of his pocket to keep this scene in the movie.
That's like 50 bucks for him.
@@ericseitzler81 Exactly!
The robots didn't win. John Connor lived. The reason for the terminators going back in time to Kill John was because John was winning with his Resistance.
The machines wanted to go back and kill him so that when they did take over that would be the end. However as long as John Lives humans will thrive and survive.
The Nuclear fallout wasn't the issue - it all revolved around John Being alive to create the resistance and win the total war against the machines.
Kindergarten Cop….definitely! Love the reactions guys❤️❤️❤️
One of the things that was done very well with these three films, is how the characters changed so much as time passed. Sarah Connor in the first film started as a young waitress. About twelve years later, she was a very tough and trained person pertaining to combat and warfare knowledge. She was also a bit nuts. This made perfect sense because of what her character was aware of about the future.
John Conner had changed a lot between the second and third films.
This was always realistic to me. Traumatic events affect us all. However, what would we be like if we knew what the future held. Good writing.
Not the worst Terminator movie I've ever seen. Also, RIP Harry Belafonte. A true trailblazer, Humanitarian, and Civil Rights Activist.
6:22 Arnold Schwarzenegger is a T-800 101 series. Meaning there's a bunch of them with his face. Watch the next movie 'Salvation', you'll see.

Another great reaction from the Dynamic Duo. 🎉😊
The whole premise was to make sure that John Conner survived and so the resistance could be formed. It was never to stop judgment day.
people say these movies go downhill from T2 and while i can understand it, i feel like all the movies have something good about them. don't give up just laugh and have fun. i actually like the one with Christian Bale in it.
The last two Terminator films have made Terminator 3 and Salvation look a lot better in hindsight.
As supposedly bad as Salvation is reported to be, I enjoyed it!
The reason why the Terminator target the high school students is because they'll become lieutenants for the human resistance of John Connor. Since Skyent could not find John Connor because he's off the grid, it targets the lieutenants as a way to draw Connor out of hiding.
I Like the part when BJ sad :she did a yoga move.🤣🤣🤣🤣
👏🏾Alright now!👏🏾
By the by, Terminator 1 is my favorite, out of the franchise😊
I always loved the subtle "sexual tension" between the TX and Arnold :D like when they fight in the bathroom, she passes the mirror and can't help it but check herself out. Or the grab to the groin. Overall the entire thing felt a little bit "cartoonish" but for the best reasons :) as you said in the beginning (when she was adjusting her chest size) - Terminators are gonna adapt.
They're infiltration units after all.
“3:00 in the morning if the dog coughs or sneezes” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Her reaction to finding John's blood unexpectedly has always been great to me.
T2 because of the action and storyline for sure! But I do have to say T1 has one of best origins stories in cinema. This was another great rewatch for me, thanks guys!
20:55 The “talk to the hand” gimmick is from the comedy film _The Beautician And The Beast_ from 1997. The gimmick went viral on comedies shows and on the regular tv news, I am not kidding you, _Terminator 3_ joined on the craze too even after five years the gimmick was started.
41:25 The James Cameron's franchise ended in T2. From T3 onwards is just a revisioned storyline.
Yessir!! I was waiting on this one!
I have always like T3 the best, but that is only because of Clair and I use to live in L.A. for 30 years and enjoyed the insane destruction. Keep up the good work.
🖖
I saw this in the cinema when I was 8 and honestly it's not a bad movie it just came after a masterpiece. but unlike movies today at least it wasn't 2 and half hours trying to start cinematic universes. It's 100 mins of Fun.
Thx for doing terminater 3, as most reactors shy away. Its not the greatest cinema ever but it explains how judgement day went down and skynet rose to power, plus arnie was back.
Great reaction, y'all! I missed this when it came out but watched it a couple of months ago and thought it's not bad at all, in fact I really enjoyed it. If you want to see Arnold have a few more dimensions to him, I recommend the action-comedies True Lies with Jamie Lee Curtis and Kindergarten Cop, which is probably my favorite Arnold film ever don't tell anyone lol
“His mainframe is smokin’.”
Love it!
Yay! Gotta respect T3 because it gave us Salvation, which is my second favorite to T2. A lot of cross references between the two movies. Will be fun to see if you catch them. 😎 Christian Bale from Batman is John Connor 👌🏻
The timeline can be tricky but once you watch all 6 it kind of fills in those blanks of things like how Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s terminator was programmed different ways at different times to serve the resistance needs but wasn’t necessarily the same Terminator each time. I can’t explain it without spoiling the Christian Bale one so I’m gonna shut up about it. Enjoyed remembering these movies with you guys.
It's like a tree: T1 and T2 form the body tree. And from there the branching starts:
- T2 3D forms the first branch;
- T3 + T:S form a second branch;
- T: Genisys forms a 3rd branch
- T: DF forms 4th branch...
@@user-fe1xc3mz4x Time to Prune that Tree.
Underrated movie with the best ending of all Terminator movies
To clarify its not the same terminator as the second movie, its the same model number. All the 101's look identical, 102 would look like someone else, etc.. not that that really makes much sense considering the whole point is its supposed to be an infiltrator and using an identical infiltrator is likely to be recognized so it seems counter productive
Finally someone reacted to this I think y’all are the only ones. haven’t seen your channel at all before so I watched the other 2 back to back so I can keep up w y’all and what y’all think lol

This movie is very underrated, imo.
I know some people don't like this one, but it is better than the next few.
I like it, and wished they had stopped here.
And the ending is tragic and inevitable.
Technology is Pandora's Box.
Did you like Salvation??
@@dmfd_rosieperez9847 It was okay in parts.
Now you have to do Alien 3 because while it's also not as good as the first two, it still has its moments. Charles Dance (Tywin from Game of Thrones) put in an outstanding performance and the whole concept of the planet that it takes place on is interesting with or without the xenomorph. If it wasn't the follow-up to the two best horror / sci-fi movies of all time, it would be more widely considered a good movie in its own right. It just had some big shoes to fill.
This movie is so underrated.
Perhaps the best part is the truck/crane scene….it’s incredible…the production ran out $ to film it, so Arnold paid for it out of his own pocket…thank u, Arnold 🎉❤😊. For Asia: nobody told me but to me it’s obvious y people / androids must go through naked: that way they can’t bring future weapons w them. Ps: the best actor here is Claire Danes 🎉
the terminators themselves are future weapons, not to mention their individual body parts (their weapon body parts: arms) of them are future weapons as well
there's some reason they have to go through n'ked for the time travel, I read about what exactly it was somewhere, but forgotten, but it just has to do with how the science of the time-travel device and fictional/in-verse science of it, works...
------
PS...
the street chase scene with the semi-truc-crane... getting flipped... ever wonder where the dark knight got its scene with batman using his batcycle and its cable cord to flip the joker in his huge semi-truck came from? this movie, T3: Rise of the Machines
I think T2 is still the best. T3 was pretty good though, it was actually a surprise how good it was. The woman playing the Terminator was very good too, imo she's the last best Terminator villain.
@26:40 Terminator: “General Robert Brewster is program director of CRS.”

Love you guys🎉🎉🎉 BTW... The scene at 20:20 was Arnold's favorite scene out of all the Terminator movies. Talk to the hand!! And that female terminator... I would do my best to short circuit her wires! 😂😂 I mean, it's for the future right? 🤤
I really hope you guys continue with the rest of the franchise, because it's still a lot of good stories too come... I love you guys ya'll be making my day

Whoa, did I just hear good audio mixing? Thanks. Never understood youtubes longtime acceptance of clipping and other intentional audio distortion designed to destroy my ears and sanity.
As someone with Autism that's highly sensitive to stimulus like this, mad props to whomever is editing. Reducing high frequencies most of the time helps keep the experience more mellow on top of the obvious intent of keeping vocal range clear.
The human race isn’t gone. The whole point is to keep John alive to run the resistance to fight the machines. In the 2nd movie sarah says Dyson is responsible for 3 billion deaths. There’s 7 billion people on earth. Plenty people survive.
Always love your reactions haha.
Cant really go wrong with Terminator. First two are incredible. The others are just good to have on, relax, and enjoy action.
Just a reminder that I love y'all because I'm watching the reaction for a movie I don't like because, well, y'all are awesome.
Would love to see you guys react to Robocop and Total Recall as both are great Sci Fi action movies!
Now THAT would be good.
Yes the originals not the reboots.
23:07" Older Terminator: "Ouch me back"
The T-800 Terminator is powered by twin nuclear power cell (or nuclear-energy cell), one was damaged when the other Terminator attacked thats why he had to cut his chest open and remove it and the second one he rammed down her throat at the end
Asia: "While you figure that out...." BJ: "We need to be on a plane!" Lol!!! =X-D
I would definitely recommend "Terminator: Salvation." The move focuses on the events during the actual future war, with Sam Worthington playing a main character in this movie. Christian Bale is also John Connor, and a whole slew of fun actors. While a little removed from the regular stuff, it's pretty fun to watch.
speaking of metal in a nuclear blast, in one of the nevada tests [operation teapot something] they set up a bunch of solid steel balls about the size of a basket ball at various distances. All of them survived but the closest ones came out much smaller as an inch or two of the surface metal was burned away.
I love Nick Stahl who is playing John Connor from the awesome movie Disturbing Behavior and I love Claire Danes who is playing Kate Brewster who becomes Kate Conner and John’s wife and second in command from the tv series My So Called Life and the movie Romeo + Juliet from the 90’’s
Greetings from Finland!!! Omg yes I'm super glad and positively surprised about this!!! Terminator Salvation is a must witch is the best sequel after judgment day!!! Hope you get to that one too!!! Cannot wait!!! "I'll be back" 😎
Fun Fact: That scene when he was on the crane going into those buildings was going to get cut out, but Arnie paid with his own money to keep it in.
Michael Biehn was definitely the best part of the First Movie. To me personally. Arnold Schwarzenegger was awesome as "The Terminator" and I loved Linda Hamilton as "Sarah Conner" but something about Michael Biehns "Kyle Reese" was just raw and felt genuine. Michael Biehn definitely is one of my favorite actors.
Knew yall would get into this one. A lot of people said Terminator Salvation, with Christian Bale wasn't very good. Personally I really liked it. It kinda tied some things together. Everybody got opinions tho.
I completely forgot Claire Danes was in Rise Of The Machines. She was one of my favorite actresses from MTV's *My So-Called Life.*
Yes. I had a crush on her back in the day
That deer crossing the road made all the difference
Y'all should Do Arnold Schwarzenegger's Total Recall. That movie is a trip
Such an underrated movie! I love this one! Great reaction.
We know the first two are the best, but this is still a great watch. I haven’t seen any more after this one, but I will

Awesome Movie and Work Guys, Thanks 👍👍👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
What I really love about Terminator 1-3 is that it shows a clear progression of technology. In T1, it’s just the basic T8. Metal robot with living flesh over it. In T2, Upgraded to pure Liquid metal to allow better disguise and regenerative capabilities. In T3, it combines them to minimise the weaknesses of both. The Liquid Metal terminator had a habit of losing its shape when exposed to extreme stressors like heat and cold. Whereas the original’s flesh casing wouldn’t heal. This the terminator has both the metal skeleton for protection and solidity while having a Liquid Metal coating for disguising and absorbing damage. Great addition! Plus this terminator, called the T-X, was specially designed to kill other terminators as the resistance had a habit of capturing and reprogramming them. It shows a clear progression from Skynet of having to develop this new model to counter the acts of the resistance. And it makes sense Skynet would send an anti terminator terminator against another terminator. Super cool!
If you havent watched a blast from the past you need to its a comedy about a family that survived a nuke war starring
Brendan Fraser as Adam Alicia Silverstone as Eve Christopher Walken as Calvin Sissy Spacek as helen
I second this, love the movie
Terminator 3 has one of the best endings. For Connor Its more about just accepting it head on instead of cowering from it. Never stop fighting. He realized it now.
T3 is either liked or hated, but u2 made it fun. Keep up the good work!

Regarding the Terminators' weight, one of the paramedics says it: "This guy weighs a ton." According to the director or whomever it was, that's literally their weight, 2,000 pounds.
