Kimball's wife was dying. Yet she heard Richard downstairs. She wasn't speaking over the phone when she said that. Though she had picked up the phone at that point in her mind she was calling out to Richard (downstairs) that this man was trying to kill her. In fact he had already. She just had not died yet from the wounds. They would have killed both Dr and Mrs Kimball. They didn't expect that Kimball was called into emergency surgery. The killer thought he was at home. But having seen Sykes, Sykes had to kill her. Without surprise Kimball was able to overpower Sykes and Sykes had to run. Great film.

I love, love, love this movie! Terrific acting, pacing, music, all of it. Not the least of it, filmed in my favorite city, Chicago... green St. Patty's Day river and all !!
28:32 As someone who lived in downtown Chicago for a decade (and worked right next to the river), I can tell you it doesn't take much to dye the river green, as it is pretty green most days in the summer, without dye being in it.
Very cool movie! This one put Tommy Lee Jones on the map! Asia: I didn't see you watch it, but was the movie "Cowboys vs. Alens?" that's the only one I remember w time travel and westerns and Harrison.. Also you guys have watched Star Wars and Indiana Jones; all starring the great Harrison Ford
I was thinking about “Cowboys and Aliens” as well. He was in “The Frisco Kid” (1979) with Gene Wilder. I’m probably one of the few people alive who actually saw that one. I hadn’t thought of it in years until I just did a search for Harrison Ford westerns. I also discovered that he did two episodes of “Gunsmoke”.
Some fun facts about the film: 1. The film is an adaptation of the TV series The Fugitive that ran from 1963 to 1967. It's premise involved Kimble looking for the one arm man, all the while helping people while being pursued by Gerard. 2. The wrecked train and bus remain a tourist attraction in Dillsboro, North Carolina. It proved to be cheaper to use full size locomotives, at around 20,000 dollars each, rather than creating the crash scene using miniatures. As the budget was quite tight, it was impossible to rehearse this key scene, and it was a one-shot deal. Dillsboro is next to the town of Sylva, where the local hospital was used for filming the hospital scenes in the beginning of the film and the ambulance get-away. 3. The DVD commentary with Andrew Davis and Tommy Lee Jones is probably one of the most disappointing ever. Davis spends most of the time simply talking about shooting locations and praising every actor on screen while Jones' is quiet most of the time and when he does speak his comments amount to things like "I liked this part" and "it was cold that day". 4. Harrison Ford deliberately did not study the script for the scene where Kimble is being questioned by the police, since he wanted his responses and reactions to be as realistic as possible. 5. Jones ad-libbed his famous "I don't care!" line (the scripted version was "It's not my problem") as well as many other comments his character makes. It was nominated, though not ranked, for AFI's "Quotes" list. 6. Harrison Ford damaged some ligaments in his leg during the filming of the scenes in the woods. He refused to take surgery until the end of filming so that his character would keep the limp. The limp can be seen in any subsequent scene where Richard Kimble is running. 7. The scene where Kimble is running through the St. Patrick's Day parade was not scripted. This was a later addition by Andrew Davis. Davis, a native of the city, really wanted to capture the parade and was granted permission from the mayor's office to film the day of the parade. The entire sequence was shot with a hand-held steady cam. Without rehearsal, Ford and Jones just went out into the crowd and did their thing, with camera operators running around trying to keep up. Ford observed that since his character was keeping a low profile, it meant he himself didn't stand out much and lasted several minutes in the crowd before being recognized. 8. Originally, Julianne Moore's character had a bigger role in the film, even after she exposes him briefly. Kimble was to have sought her out for help and eventually fall for her. These scenes were filmed and deleted from the final cut of the film. This is the reason that her name is still credited as one of the main stars of the picture. 9. According to the director, Tommy Lee Jones originally argued that his character, being concerned for the welfare of innocents around him, would not fire after Kimble inside a crowded building such as the courthouse. The dispute caused a brief delay in filming, but the director finally convinced Jones to do it as scripted. 10. Julianne Moore's brief role landed her an interview with Steven Spielberg, who would later cast her in The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997).

I saw this twice in the summer of 1993. As soon as it came out on VHS, it had to be a part of the collection. These days, I revisit it on blu ray. To me, this is an essential-must own movie for a movie fan. It was also nominated for 7 Academy Awards, including Best Picture. It lost to Shindler's List of course, but still one of the best films of the 1990s.
Harrison ruled the box office in the 80s and 90s, in addition to the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises he had a ton of hit movies. A few of my favorites I hope you can react to are , AIRFORCE ONE CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER THE MOSQUITO COAST BLADE RUNNER . Dont feel bad that you didnt recognize him from Star Wars and Indiana Jones, you would not be the first reactors to make that make mistake. When I watched the first Indiana Jones film, and the scene came up where he was a school teacher , a lot of people in the audience including my friends I was with didnt catch this was the same guy from the first scene. It is just his look, I have that also, if I meet someone with my glasses on then see them later without glasses they dont always recognize me.
You guys LOVED the Indiana Jones Trilogy right 🤣?!? I remember BJ specifically said while watching The Last Crusade (tank fight) he likes how rough and tough Harrison Ford is, and looks like he does a lot of his own stunts. So you both know him lol. Btw my Mom also has a crush on Harrison Ford 😂
Oh yeah! Star Wars, etc's, etc's. The movie Witness, and a host of other movies. The Fugitive is loosely inspired or, based off the 1963 tv series, The Fugitive, starring actor David Janssen, as Dr. Richard Kimble. And is inspired by the real life Doctor, Sam Sheppard who, "alledgedly, supposedly" killed his pregnant wife, way back in 1954. Google for more info, IF interested.
Tommy Lee Jones also played on US marshals with Wesley Snipes so basically it was like another fugitive movie but it was called US marshals and had Wesley Snipes in there definitely check it out
This movie in a nutshell: he's helping someone in need; how could something so unfortunate happen to him; how could something so fortunate happen to him; repeat.
There was a TV series for four years (starting in 1963), with the actor, David Janssen playing Richard Kimble, that this movie was based on; 120 episodes; 90 of them in black and white, 30 in color.. and Lt. Gerard was a real bad arse in that one too. The actor, Barry Morse that played Lt. Gerard said that people used to sling insults at him on the street and spit on him, he was so hated; talk about being typecast! LOL! If you can ever see the series, do so; David Janssen was a great actor. And, on this day in 1967, more than 78 million viewers tuned in to see Richard Kimble (David Janssen) square off with the "One-Armed Man" (Bill Raisch) on the series finale of the original version of drama The Fugitive on ABC. David Janssen played a great Richard Kimble. RIP David Janssen.
I loved this movie! The one thing I remember from the mid 90s was my teacher called out sick one day in early '94 and the substitute wheeled in the tv/vcr, so we knew it was gonna be an easy day. He put The Fugitive in the vcr and when Julianne Moore's scene came on, my eyes were PLASTERED to the screen. Who was this beautiful red-haired woman? For the rest of the day, she was all I thought about.
This fantastic film’s inspiration is in the 1963-1967 TV series, The Fugitive, which starred David Janssen as Dr. Richard Kimble, who throughout the series, was in constant search for that “one-armed man.”
The killer didn’t make Richard's wife say his name. She heard Richard downstairs, entering their home. She had just been bludgeoned. That was her way of trying to call out to him. She was referring to the one-armed man, when she said, "He's trying to kill me."
I'm a #1 Harrison Ford fan! I've seen every one of his movies! I'm crazy over Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones! 2 #1 actors that are true legendary men to ever hit the silver screen! ❤❤❤❤
Love Harrison and love this movie. I've watched it hundreds of times. He has a ton of great movies but those are some.
About 3 of the chicago cops/detectives in this are real retired chicago pd over the years (since the 80s )where they filmed action/detective movies in chicago they used those guys ,the most famous one they where in was batman the dark knight
She heard her husband come in downstairs and yell, “Hello, who won the game,” ( or something similar ) when her husband entered the home later after she did. Because the killer was in the house/room with her, she had already dialed 911, or the operator, by the time her husband entered downstairs. The operator was on the line. The killer had already hit her/attacked her once, so she was unable to speak loudly or cry out enough for her husband to hear her. She heard her husband downstairs though and said, “Richard? Richard.” The operated was still on the line asking what she needed and she told the operator, He’s trying to kill me.” The operator misunderstood, as anyone who was not there would, that she was telling her “Richard” was trying to kill her, when in actuality, she was calling out to her husband. Sad.

Great movie, based on Sam Shepard. His lawyer F. Lee Bailey got him off and went on to arguably be the best defense attorney of the 20th century.
If I remember right, dude actually became a pro wrestler and mick foley got the idea for the mandible claw finisher from him.
That "short guy who looks like Bill Burr" is Joey Pants AKA Ralph Ciferetto from Sopranos!
And Francis Fratelli (the criminals) from The Goonies
He was the traitor from The Matrix, too.
And the police Captain in Bad Boys
He was great as Ralph Ciferetto
Love Joey Pants! He's a great character actor and down to earth, decent guy.
We all had a crush on Harrison Ford! 😍
Great film.
Great movie. One of the stand outs from the 90’s.
The sequel - US marshals
Is top notch too 👌❤️
She was calling out to him for help
Harrison Ford movies: Star Wars (4-7), Indiana Jones, Witness, Six Days Seven Nights, American Graffiti, Air Force One, What Lies Beneath, Random Hearts, Sabrina… to name a few 😊😉
Also has a bit part in Apocalypse Now
I LOVE "What Lies Beneath" with Harrison Ford & Michelle Pfiefer.
I love, love, love this movie! Terrific acting, pacing, music, all of it. Not the least of it, filmed in my favorite city, Chicago... green St. Patty's Day river and all !!
I love how smart Harrison Ford’s character was and relentless in discovering the truth! Great movie!
28:32 As someone who lived in downtown Chicago for a decade (and worked right next to the river), I can tell you it doesn't take much to dye the river green, as it is pretty green most days in the summer, without dye being in it.
Don’t miss the sequel with Tommy Lee Jones’ character and Wesley Snipes…US Marshals
This is such a good movie!! Glad y'all got to see it. Tommy Lee Jones and Harrison Ford are next level actors. All their movies are phenomenal
Trivia: Tommy Lee Jones' college roommate at Harvard University was Al Gore, later to be VP of United States and 2000 Presidential candidate.
He also was in a western called the Frisco kid
Some fun facts about the film:
"Air Force One" movie 1997.... he played the President .....it was a great movie! you got to watch that one too! 😊
Harrison ford in Clear and present danger FTW
Tommy Lee Jones one of my all time fav actors. Loved him in Coal Miners Daughter as Loretta Lynn's husband. Good good movie guys... thanks for the reaction.
The movie Double Jeopardy is a good one too :)
What Lies Beneath should be your next Garrison Ford film. He is SO GREAT in that! Also Working Girl and Patriot Games. Lol BJ said “I got candy stuck to my butt” and Asia said “that’s what you get” 🤣🤣🤣 y’all, I’m dead!
Han Solo
I still have hope that one day we'll see reactions to some X-Files episodes 🙏🙏🙏
Oh man i hope so. In my top 3 favourite sci fi shows
This is a great movie, often overlooked. Especially when the star is Han Solo and Indiana Jones! There was a TV series in the 60s by the same name, and it was also very good. Thanks you two!!
It wasn't me, it was the one armed man!
.. a one armed man, you say?🤨
did they watch The Mask? They should definitely watch The Mask!
You find that man!
You find that man!!
It wasn’t me. It was Ignacio!
HAN SOLO - Harrison Ford, in STAR WARS, really young lol
You have to love how Sam always addresses Richard as either Richard, Doctor Kimble or by Doctor Richard Kimbal. He makes a personal but respectful connection with him despite the situation
"Candy is stuck to my butt" was the highlight of this reaction. Too good.
ABSOLUTE CLASSIC!! Best Harrison Ford movie after the 1st Indiana Jones
I can't/couldn't believe that y'all didn't recognize Harrison Ford from the Star Wars & Indiana Jones trilogies. You even have Harrison Ford movies you both have viewed posted on your walls lol. There's a "sequel" to The Fugitive, same officers mostly except for the black lady called "U.S. Marshals", I would recommend to watch & another movie to check out is "Regarding Henry", also a good watch. Keep up the great work, much respect 🙏🏾 🫡 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾
I think you are remembering Harrison Ford from the Indian Jones Trilogy
The Fugitive is one of my favorite movies. By Harrison Ford
I’ve been watching you guys react for a few years now and don’t normally comment but just wanted to say you guys are an amazing couple that bring joy to many, many people that are alone. Thanks so much
Reelin' with Asia and BJ , great content dude
The movie
Witness, and a host of other movies.
I DIDN'T KILL MY WIFE!
Raider's Of The Lost Ark?😊
1982's Blade Runner?😊
I. Don't. Care.
Aw, that’s okay hat I came here to comment! Absolute classic.
Besides Star Wars this is my favorite Harrison Ford movie 🍿 😊
Tommy Lee Jones also played on US marshals with Wesley Snipes so basically it was like another fugitive movie but it was called US marshals and had Wesley Snipes in there definitely check it out
This movie in a nutshell: he's helping someone in need; how could something so unfortunate happen to him; how could something so fortunate happen to him; repeat.
"I don't bargain."
Tommy Lee Jones was savage af in this role. Well deserved Oscar.
You gotta watch the classic Wrongfully Accused
Harrison Ford made a bunch of movies, never a bad guy!❤❤❤❤❤
He was in ONE- but I don’t want post a spoiler in case people haven’t seen it yet. 😉
@@Sal-gh1seexactly what I was thinking. There is definitely one!
"Have we seen a Harrison Ford movie before?" Me staring at the Star Wars poster on the wall...
The 90's had the best movies.
"Those hospital eggs. Damn, those hospital eggs are good!" - 🤣
I agree with BJ. Those hospital eggs ARE good when you have an appetite, & feel good enough to eat them ...
13:33 BJ, I agree. I worked at a hospital for a long while and the cafeteria eggs were good, but the link sausages were sublime.
Great movie. I also love U.S. Marshals if y'all ever watch it. Great reaction
This fantastic film’s inspiration is in the 1963-1967 TV series, The Fugitive, which starred David Janssen as Dr. Richard Kimble, who throughout the series, was in constant search for that “one-armed man.”
This film is based on the original TV program on ABC Television The Fugitive in 1963 to 1967 staring David Janssen.
The killer didn’t make Richard's wife say his name. She heard Richard downstairs, entering their home. She had just been bludgeoned.
That was her way of trying to call out to him. She was referring to the one-armed man, when she said, "He's trying to kill me."
Yay! I love this movie and not many react to it.
Of course Star Wars and Indiana Jones are his most famous franchises but you should check out his Jack Ryan series Patriot Games and Clear & Present Danger , as well as, Presumed Innocent & Witness. He has a ton of great movies but those are some.
Clicked on this as soon as I saw it. Love this movie. Love Harrison Ford.
Sad.
