This script couldn't have worked right without these two doing it. Hilarious.
Exactly. The sequel was absolute trash.
When jokes like the Austria/Australia bit in the beginning don't evoke any reaction at all... it's really telling.
@@notofthisgod32 they waited way too long for dated humor. Plus Jim wasn't really doing that much comedy for a while. It had some moments but was horrible. I wasted $10 at the theater lol
I had no idea Jeff Daniels had this in him before watching back in 1994.
It woudn't have worked without Jim Carrey. Jeff Daniels gets an assist.
The director wanted to end the movie with them getting on the bus. Jim said he’d shoot both endings, but after they shot the ending with them not getting on the bus, Jim refused to shoot the other one. He said he wanted to keep the characters consistent throughout the whole movie.
You should check out 'Man On the Moon' with Jim Carrey if you haven't seen it. He won a golden globe for his role as Andy Kaufman.
Stop believing those horsecrap stories
The two OIL BOYS are Abstract Inversions of two Pulp Fiction characters, Jules and Vincent.
One who had greasy hair.
One who wound-up (in his own words) as a 'fkn grease spot/stain".
Also keep in-mind the attire of both men which prompted Julia Sweeney to ask if they were going to a Volleyball game?
@@JayStar-yj9puyou just made that up and are lying but ok go off hun
@@sketchylurker while your reply appears mildly cynical, I nonetheless appreciate any response at all to my SUGGESTION.
I will ask this:
How many INVERTED parallels between Lloyd/Harry and Jules/Vince would I need to provide/offer for you to step past your personal level of 'coincidence'?
If my initial words were "made-up", there is very little chance of me concocting too many more 'Yin-Yang" variables...ya think??
So, how many??
I remember like yesterday being 12 and my Dad taking me to see this. I was so embarrassed because my dad was scream laughing and I was hiding. I thought he was going to have a heart attack
Ahaha 😂 i can just picture it too hehe funny comment man
That's awesome!
Wholesome 😊
I woulda switch seats and threw popcorn at him 😊... MASK is still J.Carreys best..pet detective is a winner..liar liar kills..this is actually one of his worst..not bad but not as good as others😊
@@MaxXHavokKwtf are you even on about?! This is pinnacle Jim Carrey. If you weren’t alive in the 90’s, I can understand why you’d think that. But Dumb & Dumber IS Jim Carrey.
Jeff Daniels is actually an excellent actor and one of the few who can do both comedy and drama with equal proficiency. It's mind blowing to realize that he was both the title character in "Dumb and Dumber" and Colonel Joshua Chamberlain in "Gettysburg."
Yeah he was in a crime movie with Clint Eastwood and was awesome.
Not to mention his role in The Newsroom
Comedic actors can usually do drama too. Drama is easy, comedy is hard.
He played a character named Harry in the thriller Speed in 1994 as well with Keanu Reeves. He was a serial killer in Clint Eastwoods Bloodwork in 2002.
Nobody remembers Jeff Daniels was also preacher and father in 'Because of Winn Dixie'
BJs face at the end with that tour bus was priceless.
I was just thinking the same thing!!!😂😂😂
He looked legitimately upset 🤣
Gold!
I felt so betrayed but it was so funny the first time I saw it
he looked genuinely sad 🥺LMAO Ive never seen his eyebrows go like that
90s when comedy was actually fun. Great seeing it in the cinema.
remember that summer of carrey? you go se DnD, trailer for Ace, go see Ace, trailer for the Mask, go see the mask, Ace 2. Jim had a PRETTY good couple of years there.
@@MrHartApart 94-96 gold
@@MrHartApart Yes! I remember seeing The Cable Guy in the movies as a kid back in 96.
100%. 90’s comedy was the best. So many great ones. 👨🏻🍳🤌🏼
I love Asia laughing through the whole thing while BJ is trying to figure out how anybody can be that stupid. She’s just dying.🤣
Man Asia got such a beautiful smile!
A lot of the scenes were improvised, it is basically impossible to make a movie like this by script and make it seem genuine and natural.
Asia is stunning.
"So you're saying there's a chance."
So many hilarious moments and lines in this movie, but one of my all time favorites will always be "WE GOT NO FOOD, WE GOT NO JOBS! OUR PETS HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!"
Also, Jim Carrey in 1994 might have had the greatest year an actor has had as far as classic comedies with "Ace Ventura", "The Mask" and "Dumb and Dumber".
That's one of my favorite lines also!
“... our pets HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!! 👈" 🤣
I don’t like The mask, don’t like ace ventura pet detective. I do love Dumb and Dumber and the Truman show.
I also love when Harry informs Lloyd that Petey died from decapitation by way of old age lol
Me myself and irene
@@thereisnopandemic thé number 23 too....its so good
It just warmed my heart to see Asia's smiling so big when she knows a funny scene was coming up. I still quote this movie all the time.
Just so you know, there is an implied joke in the movie. Lloyd's last name was Christmas, and he was in love with Mary Swanson. If they got married, and she took his name, she'd be Mary Christmas. 🌲
The big, tough trucker guy at the cafe…the “Sea Bass” character is played by Cam Neely, an NHL Hall of Famer. One of the best power forwards to ever play…and he was/is huge. 6’3” 235lbs when he played. A no joke, huge tough guy and hardcore player, who also scored a bunch. He was a huge star in hockey when this came out. He’s now the president of the Boston Bruins (the team he famously played for).
These directors are huge New England area sports fans and they put a lot of star athletes (especially guys who play in New England/northeast part of the US) in their movies in small roles.
The scenes he's in are some of my favorites- even the "For manly love" rest room scene when he shows up again for some truck stop "romance" haha.
Man that’s dope to know!
BJ’s reaction to the end with the bikini tour bus was the same reaction I had. That was perfect 🤣
Mine too! 😂😂😂
Right? Everyone felt the same lol...like WTF??? That was your break idiots!!!!!!!!!!
That was every man and boys reaction, I think. Worst/best thing? This bikini tour team actually exists IRL….. lol
BJ looked hurt... Then they "realized their mistake" and let him down again. Lol. His reaction was great.
When BJ got the smile back once Lloyd went after the bus, I was laughing inside at his impending disappointment. 😂😂😂
I've never seen BJ laugh so much at a movie...this reaction was fantastic.
This felt like a solo reaction wit Asia reacting to BJ lmao
Jim Carrey was very adamant about the ending. The studio wanted them to "win" or something happier. But he really pushed for the current ending. And good for it!!
"..senior citizens although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose. Ok I'll be right back, don't you go DYIN' on me!" 😂 One of my favorite lines lol
..wheres the booze?
"I got robbed by a sweet old lady on a motorized cart....... DIDNT EVEN SEE IT COMIN" lmfao
@@coreyhall1150There’s also a deleted scene that shows him seeing that the woman did rob him
Jim Carrey's 1994 is arguably the greatest year any comedic actor has ever had. Ace Ventura. The Mask. Dumb and Dumber. He went from being a relative unknown to the biggest star in Hollywood (and my idol lol) in 11 months. Dumb and Dumber is probably my favorite of the trio. And 1997's Liar Liar is up there too.
The Mask will FOREVER be one of my favorite comedies!! 😂
Yep, Jim was sssmokin in '94.
They were all awesome when they came out, but IMO Dumb and Dumber is the only one that holds up. It's actually a very smart comedy and still hits just as hard 5 watches later.
Not to mention Jim and Lauren were actually a couple for a while.I guess Lloyds fantasies came true
'95 had Ace Ventura 2, and Batman Forever, '96 had the Cable Guy... he was pretty busy making gem after gem.
Love this movie! Jeff Daniels has so much range. He can do such intense drama and then turn around and do this incredible slapstick comedy!
They didn't originally want him in the film, since he really wasn't known for comedy. Nobody else would have worked in this role, especially playing off peak Jim Carrey.
@@jkincaid582 I agree completely. He is almost the straight-man (which you need), but with a twist.
Perfect movie.
Asia: “ You betta not get on that bus!”
BJ’s face: “I can’t believe these dumb MF’s!?” 😂
You guys are brilliant
Ya'll going to love this movie... I blew two vhs tapes 😒... loved this movie
Sounds uncomfortable
I did that with E.T! I went through 2 VHS's 🤷🏾♂️
Hey , I have only one vhs 😂
Whoop whoop! VHS!!!
My dad loved it so much he even has it on laser disc
I’m always gonna love Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniel’s humor!!😂😂
Farrelly Bros.
This movie holds a special place in my heart because I was 11 years old and went to see this with my late father and it was the hardest I’d ever heard him laugh. This movie is classic!
Dumb and Dumber is one film where I prefer this theatrical cut. The extended cut is more cynical, and the sequels leave much to be desired. But this is a classic that I quote all the time, and it is definitely in my top ten. Thanks for another great video!
ya i dont like the extended cut but appreciate it exists... theres one deleted scene that i wish they left in .. when Bobby was in the background on ice slowly nudging himself while inside the box ... and the bad guys freaking out when they see him shouting "Hes getting away!!"
Completely agree. The extra scenes ruin the good-time vibe in places. I'm glad Asia and BJ edited them out (or was it the theatrical version they watched?). Either way, there's is the best YT reaction by far.
I think you mean sequel (singular). There's just a prequel and a sequel to this one. The former is said to be the worst prequel of all time.
Such a classic. When we were kids, my brother and I used to love this movie, despite most of the jokes going right over our heads. They don't make movies this hilarious or wholesome anymore. Timeless.
my brother and i would act out the whole movie taking turns being harry or lloyd (we'd stay as eithe one the whole duration too)
I saw this movie in the theater when I was in high school. The audience was laughing so hard the whole time.
My favorite part is when Lloyd is pretending to run as well. One thing most people don't realize is when they introduce Mary. If they were to get married, Lloyd Christmas and Mary Swanson, her name would be Mary Christmas. By the way, the soundtrack is fire. I play it every time we go on a road trip.
Even though Asia had already seen this movie, it was still a joy watching her enjoy this. RIP Charles Rocket.
YESSSSSSSSS!!!! I've seen this movie endless times. It's hysterical. I cannot wait to watch it with you guys! 😂😂
This was the first adult comedy I saw in the theaters. I did not know movies could be this funny. And three decades later I'm still laughing every time.
Between BJs attention to detail, and Asias amazing smile and compassion, o feel like I’m watching a movie with dear friends. Another great watch, guys….👍🏻
I was 15 when this movie came out. I still quote it to this day 😂 Jim Carrey is such an amazing actor. His character, Fire Marshall Bill, from In Living Color, is my favorite character of his ❤ I NEVER missed an episode of that show. It was the greatest sketch comedy show of all time. Hands down...
The Truman Show!
“”Let me tell you somethin’!!! Fire Marshall Bill was a great character for JC.
I'm wylin' because for half a second that thumbnail had me like, "oh, Asia and BJ invited two friends to react with them", before immediately feeling embarrassed about myself 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤣
😂😂
I am here to watch Asia smile, squee and laugh. 😍
Ya, her smile makes you want to be her friend
@@vancelubben4527 She seems like a winner to me.
During my last day at high school in May 2003, we took a vote to see what movie we'd start off our "senior play day" with. And Dumb & Dumber" won unanimously. It's a cult classic. I thoroughly enjoyed BJ's reaction to it. And Asia, your laugh is so infectious. I can tell both of your laughs are not forced. Both of your laughs are natural, and each time you two laugh it makes me smile. So, thank you for this video! Nothing but love and respect for you both! You da man BJ! Just keep being yourself, stay true, stay honest and keep it real. Peace y'all! 😅
I graduated in 03 too... this was my friends and brothers fav movie
I've seen this movie about 50 times. Total classic. It is strange though to see you two watching it when one of you knows it very well and the other doesn't. Kinda puts pressure on the one he doesn't to laugh.
I've seen Asia laugh pretty hard before....but the snowball to Mary's head may be Asia's hardest laugh yet 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
edit: just saw her laugh at the laxative scene....that's the hardest I've seen her laugh 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That was a lot of fun y'all. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I hope they put "There's Something About Mary" on their movie watch list. That one is hilarious too. Cracks me up every time.
This is one of the best comedy movies ever made. It has always had a place in my heart and reminds me of my childhood and times long ago. You know those movies that really take you back…
The characters are pretty much a direct rip off of the movie 2 idiots in Hollywood
Ever made..?
@@Blit-X-TVLive Yes. One of the best ever made. Maybe it’s the nostalgia of the time period when it came out. I don’t know. But yes, I stand by that statement.
One of my all time favorites! I literally can recite every line due to seeing it so many times...
bro same here, my brother and i would choose either lloyd or harry and act out the entire movie together
So your saying there's a chance.
Applicable in so many situations.
Jim Carrey at the time, had Ace Ventura,Dumb and Dumber and The Mask the following year,1995. This man was a huge influence on me how to be comedic without overselling and be convincing at the same time.
I love the fact that Asia knows what's coming and can't wait to see BJ's reaction. I was like this when I introduced my wife to this movie, and now we quote it together.
Two beautiful people! I appreciate the grind y'all put in. I hope you honestly keep having great success. Y'all are definitely in my top 5 reactors ever!
I can't stop laughing at Asia's laugh as she watches Jeff Daniels throw that snow ball and hitting that girl in the head😂. I've rewound that part at least 50 times just to watch Asia's laugh.
Keep up the good work!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
We all just came because we love to see Asia laugh incontrollably and enjoy all these 90's comedy movies... :)
Thank Y’ALL for this. It really is the FUNNIEST movie EVER. I really wanted to witness y’all’s reactions. Have a GREAT DAY!
💜💙 I'm so excited to see this reaction. This movie will have y'all rollin! 😂
I third that. There is that one family of like six black brothers, or friends, i can't tell. They are hilarious also. Love your stuff maybe a little more.
49:55 the LOOK on BJs face when he realizes they're not gunna be the oil boys is Fing priceless 🤣
Y’all that movie is a CLASSIC. Anytime it’s on I always watch it. Those two together complimented each other soooo good. Such a comedy gem. Love y’all ❤
Well, you finally landed on my #1 comedy of all time.
mine too, hundreds of times ive watched it
I say, “I like it ah lot” so many times. I haven’t watched this movie in a long time and it was a delight to watch it here and enjoy your reactions! Have an awesome weekend!
BJ's face was priceless at the end with the bus full of models! I had to rewind a couple of times! 😂😂
What a classic! “Something about Mary” “Kingpin” “me myself and Irene” are so funny
"Fell off the jetway again..." This line gets me every time. Once again, thumbs up you two.
So glad you guys were able to watch the Theatrical Cut!!! The Unrated cut is the most widely available one but i think some of the extra scenes are kind of mean spirited, this is the best cut!! Awesome reaction!! 😁😁
Exactly. I didn't see your comment earlier but yeah AVOID that extended cut.
I second that.
I'd argue the extended toilet scene is funnier than the original. All the other additions are more or less unnecessary
The part in the car where Jim Carey was pretending to run...
He was imagining that it wasn't the car going fast, it was him running fast.
"It feels like you're running at an incredible rate Harry"
I got a 95 on my exam tonight, and then I got to watch this reaction video. I FEEL AMAZING!!! Thanks for another great reaction. You two are so wonderful. 💜💙
Congrats on the exam! 🎉

It makes me so happy to see you two laugh and giggle at a childhood classic 😂
One of the best one-liner movies of all time. 😂😂. My wife and i still quote this movie to this day.
‘How’s ya burger?’ ‘Harry….. your hands are freezing.’. etc…. classic😂😂
I love how the Bikini tour mishap broke his mind lmao. You could literally see the soul leave his body lol
I love watching you guys during slow points at my job. Got me walking around with a damn smile from your guys laughter.❤
20 years later and they did a sequel. It is actually quite good and Rob Riggle steals the movie.
17:28
"Pull over!"
"What?"
"Pull over!"
"No it's a cardigan, but thanks for noticin'."
Harry is played by Jeff Daniels, another great actor! They begged him not to do this movie out of fear it would kill his career (he's a more serious actor) and he wanted to do it after reading the script, it turned out to be a major success lol. This movie is a classic!!! They did a sequel a few years ago now but it's awful. I think another funny movie you two would enjoy is "Date Night" with Steve Carell and Tina Fey! Please upvote so they see. ♥
I love Date Night!
@@Divamarja_CA Same it's hilarious!
Jeff Daniel's was also hilarious in the comedy movie Speed.
@@jeffreyjeziorski1480 Had me cracking up when they couldn't slow the bus down.
"What do you do? What do you do?", funniest line ever.
BJ's wide eyed and dropped jaw so many times at this movie was hilarious!!!
You know what would have been funny? If they had an end credit scene where it's a year later and Lloyd finally realizes that the bikini girls were talking about them.
38:57 my fave scene from this movie. Lmao.
The looks on BJ’s face when they didn’t get on the bus, like he was going on that bus with them lol
My favorite thing about this movie is that the most annoying sound in the world wasn’t scripted and the reaction was genuine, if you look very carefully at Harry’s actors face you can see brief confusion as he says it, then his eyes pop as Floyd does it. The guy in the middle was actually getting annoyed.
Asia’s laugh and giggles are infectious 😀 glad you guys found this funny. From what i remember about the sequel, its not essential viewing. Have you reacted to Tommyboy yet?
Tommy Boy!!!!
The sequel is also good
Dumb and Dumber to is watchable somewhat funny.... I watched it once when 1st came out haven't seen it since.... D and D should've been a non sequel stand alone flick..... D&D is a work of art compared to D&D to...... seen D&D a hundred times vs D&D to's once viewing. Imo
This is my dads all time favorite movie and every time I put it on, his day gets better 😂
A great movie, with a great 90s sound track. The vocals from the crash test dummys is simply haunting.
I saw this in theaters with the whole family. I was 7 or 8. My parents made sure I had a solid sense of humor. Gave me free reign with exploring comedy. The greatest gift they ever gave me tbh.
Asia and BJ have become my favorite reaction channel on UA-cam. At first I thought they were my favorite couple reactors, but now they’re just my overall favorite. You two are awesome.
I’d love to see you go through the MCU.
I second that lol
its kind of ffunny that I only recently noticed how many reaction channels that I watch are couples reactions
The MCU is so mindless and overdone. I'm sure they will get to it though 😅
@@MovieJustin I’d like to see them get through Endgame at the very least. There’s a reason a lot reaction channels have done it: views.
I love your guys' reactions. It brings the movie back to life, and you two are really entertaining. Thank you.
🤣 This is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. It never gets old.
Seabass was the Captain of the Boston Bruins Cam Neely in real life.. Hall of Fame Hockey Player. Super tough dude who fought lots and scored lots.
This was so much fun! Rewatching this classic with y’all was a blast
I howled the first time I saw this back in the 90s. I still quote it til this day with my closest friends 😂 Too many good lines. I’m so glad to hear y’all reference In Living Color. You might be the first reactors I’ve heard say they actually watched it. Such a funny show. Way better than SNL & it was probably better than Mad TV, too.
OMG.... 😂😂🤣 this reaction made me laugh so much. I don't even have words to describe how funny this movie is. My friends and I saw this movie in the theater when it came out. We watched What About Bob, Major Payne, this, the Ace Ventura movies and lots of other movies and the joy of uncontrollable laughter of an entire audience at a theater is one of the best feelings a person can have. Great reaction. So many quotable lines. We still refer to that dman dog/van thing at the beginning as the "shaggin' wagon" when we talk about this movie and some of the funny stuff in it. So many great comedy movies you guys can watch, even on your own if it isn't a reaction. Made my day!
BJ's hands right at 51:00 had me rolling. "It fell right into their hands"... 🤣🤣🤣
My favorite line of the movie is when he’s showing the IOU’s, he says “car, $250,000 might want to hang onto that one.” Like they could pay it back. 😂
The family has enjoyed this movie again and again countless times :) It was great to see you two loving it too, please do not watch the sequel it is a bad disappointment to the point where it doesn't even exist as any possibility to be watched amongst the fam. Love you two, and all your reactions too!! ^_^ oxo
Dumb and dumberer was bad. But dumb and dumber 2 was awesome!
I was confused at the beginning. But after the film it all made sense: So Asia has been trolling poor BJ for some time, and he didn't know what was going on? Ahaha... I love it. My partner and I do this constantly (sometimes I have planned something that takes months to come to fruition), and she's really good and getting friends involved. It might be 40% of the strong foundation we have built upon. I love it! 😍
1) A close friend of mine was room mates with Jeff Daniels in HS. Jeff was like that in high school. His nickname was "Ludd" ..Why I don't remember. He wasn't acting in that movie. 😂 He was going back to being 17 again.
I'm SO glad you guys watched this!! I LOVE this movie.. My best friend is constantly saying the line "GOODBYE, MY LUHH--" & abruptly stopping or walking into a wall, acting like Lloyd gander-necking & slamming his limo into a parked car.. I can't watch that scene without laughing out-loud hysterically. Lol. Or the Petey scene.. Or the two pair of gloves scene.. Too many to name..😂
OK, SOO... My PERSONAL opinion is that you two should not only watch the sequel, 'Dumb & Dumber 2,' (which isn't AS funny as the original, but then again, what sequel ever is tbh? It is still a very funny movie &, without giving anything away, it brings back a few funny iconic & nostalgic things & situations from the first film, so to me it's worth it for that stuff alone), but I think you guys should ALSO check out the other one as well sometime.. Yes, guys, there is a THIRD FILM in this series!! Way before the actual sequel ever came about, in 2003, a PREQUEL came out called 'Dumb & Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd'.. Jim Carey & Jeff Daniels sadly aren't in this one.. Instead, we get younger versions of themselves with Derek Richardson (from 'Hostel') as Harry & Eric Christian Olsen (from 'NCIS: Los Angeles') as Lloyd (& for the record, those guys are pretty spot on, lol). It shows us how the two met & follows them during their high school years. Eugene Levy ('American Pie') & Bob Saget ('Full House') are two gems that round out the cast. Consider this the 'Jurassic Park 3' of the 'Jurassic Park' series: It's not better than the other two films by a long shot, but IMO, that's holding it to too high of standards, tbh.. On its own, I personally find the film funny & Bob Saget has a very memorable scene in it that still makes me laugh whenever I think about it.. I think it's a pretty cool movie, but that's just me.. Still, I wasn't sure if you guys even knew it was a thing, lol, so I felt like you should at least have ALL your full options, whether you ever watch it or not.. Lol. Lloyd still has both his iconic bowl cut hair & his chipped front tooth in this one, too, btw..lol! But yes, definitely check out the sequel at the very least..
And I hope you guys get to 'The Dark Knight Rises' soon too.. No rush, I'm just ready for it.. I been on a 'Batman' binge with you guys all week &, even though I've literally seen it seems like a hundred times already, we've gotten ALL the way to the very last of this trilogy & now I'm in the zone guys, lol, I'm ready for it..😂 I'm like "WHEN TF ASIA & BJ GONNA FINISH NOLAN'S 'BATMAN'?!?"😉🤣🤣☠☠🤭 Don't get it twisted, I love me some 'Dumb & Dumber,' but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a LIL BIT disappointed earlier seeing 'TDKR' not on the agenda yet...lol!😉
Thank you guys SO MUCH for doing what you do, we love you guys & are huge fans! Ya'll be easy, ight? Much love from TN, Fam..❤✌🏻💯
I absolutely can't wait for this.
Omg I love watching movies with you two 😂😂😂 This movie still cracks me up and I can't even tell you how many times I've seen it. I still use lines from it too like.... I like it alot, just go man, I was way off.
On a road trip with my ex husband and 2 boys, he says he needs a runner to follow so we could go faster so I did what any dumb person would do and started running in the passenger seat. We laughed and laughed for about 30 minutes. Gut busting laughing 😂😂😂 Good times.
The scene I pretty much almost pee my pants EVERY TIME is when they get off the scooter and are frozen together. That'll never NOT be funny to me! 😂😂😂 30:16
YES... WATCH PART TO! LOL... I HIGHLY Recommend you guys watch the 2003 Prequel "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd" .... It doesn't have Jim or Jeff in it... but the guys who play the younger versions KILL IT!! That movie is HILARIOUS!! They did the prequel justice!!!! 🤣🤣
BJ’s reaction to the bikini tour scene made the whole thing worth it.
You just can't contain a guy like Jim! Many of his best scenes are improvised and memorable lines are often completely spontaneous. Remember the "most annoying sound in the world" from this film? You could probably tell this wasn't in the script by the genuinely horrified look on Jeff Daniel's face as Jim leans over and lets him hear it. It was off the cuff in typical Carrey style. And in the bar scene in Aspen, the line "No way... that's great. We've landed on the moon!" was also made up by Jim right on the spot when he saw the framed newspaper.
Some say Jim hasn't taken any dramatic roles lately due to the poor box-office performance of his previous ones. But apparently, he will only perform in a movie that has a completely positive message. He has struggled with depression, and due to his own personal belief system doesn't want to project anything negative.
Fun fact I heard about the 7-11 scene with big gulps. Those weren’t extras. They were dudes that heard of filming and stood outside to be part of the movie. Jim went off script and used it for the film. 👌
Oh im so pumped for this. Easily my favorite movie growing up. I had the soundtrack on CD that i used to play non stop also.
i had the soundtrack on cassette lol
2/3 through this video and I gotta say, I watch all kinds of reaction channels and you's two are the best :D You play all the right scenes and your chemistry is perfect. Rock on BJ/A!!!
Check out the 2003 prequel Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, as well as the 2014 sequel Dumb and Dumber To.
The joy on Asia’s face during the movie having watched it before (probably several times - like me) made me laugh. Great reaction guys!
Oh man, my cheeks hurt from smiling watching you guys!!! 😂😂😂😂 So many quotable moments in this movie "t-t-heh" "the." "Our pets heads are falling off!!!!" "Pretty bird!" Just, the craziest!
Jeff Daniels, Harry, is such a versatile actor, he's been in loads of other films including 101 Dalmatians (honestly, I don't care how old we all are, if you haven't seen Glenn Close as Cruella DeVil, you need to see this movie - it's iconic) and the classic action movie, Speed with Keanu Reeves (definitely check it out!!!) He perfectly balances out Jim Carrey, who's incredible as always. I remember watching a behind-the-scenes with the two of them talking about how important it was to not cast two traditional comedians for the roles because they'd only try to one-up each other and the heart of the movie would get lost in all the antics. Jeff isn't a stand-up comedian so he knew how to handle the humor as an actor and let Jim shine as the outrageous star he is. The casting quality speaks for itself, Jeff and Jim have phenomenal chemistry, it jumps out of the screen.
I grew up with these movies (The Mask and Liar Liar as well) so it's a thrill to watch you experience them for the first time. And I also watched Jim ("James" in the credits) Carrey in In Living Color growing up! My favorite sketches I think are him as the Background Guy (especially on the beach! 😂) and definitely Dracula Meets Wanda. I watch that one every Halloween, the clip is in good quality on UA-cam. 😉
Great reaction! Waiting on Ace Ventura next.... 😊💖
