Hello Steve. It's a cocktail that I like, it's delicious and quite complex. I also liked it by adding an OFTD float. There is a Bali Bali that looks like it and is vert good too. 🍸 Cheers
I always liked the Fog Cutter, it tastes weird in a good way to me. I'm liking the idea of using Spanish Brandy, sounds tremendous! Agricole works well in this, at least to my palate. It plays off the orgeat nicely.
I think I used close to the beachbum berry recipe the first time and it was WAY too sour from the lemon and dry from the oloroso sherry. Now I use lower amounts of lemon and/or swap it for lime and I sub port for the sherry float, because I also don't need multiple bottles of sherry open in the house
Man i feel you re mistreating Pisco here. Peruvian Pisco definitely does not use pits and stalks. It is made by distilling grape juice wine in copper pot stills. Please correct that. Not sure about the one Pisco you re using here as i ve never had it but Pisco can be great.
Does not sound like something for me. I don't care for brandy and when I'd made a Blue Hawaii a while back I thought the vodka with the rum tasted bad so I don't think gin will work for me. As far as other cocktails. I've tried several variations on a Bahama Mama and have not come up with anything good. There seems to be no standard recipe. They all have some variation ,with or without, banana, coconut, and/or coffee liquors. All wildly different and none of which improved on a my Painkiller.

Cue Mummy B looking high and low for her "stolen" Sherry bottle... 😂😂

I actually love it as it is. I guess it's a matter of taste.

Never really cared for lemon juice forward tiki cocktails.
