Looooved your Pedi video and I’m a great lover of all your work all the way from Australia!…please make more Pedi videos, there’s not many around to watch 🙏🏻💙
Perfection as usual, Anna! Many years ago consulted a podiatrist about what I thought were painful ingrown toenails on my big toes. The doc immediately recommended I schedule a potentially traumatic side nail "slicing" to eliminate the growth starting at the matrix of my toenails along the sides. Well I didn't take that recommendation, thank goodness. Instead I paid for professional pedicures which helped. Fast forward to the present. I now treat my hands and feet gently and regularly moisturize. I let my toenails grow out a bit more and file them straight across and moisturize them with oils and Kerasal faithfully. My toenails are clean, even, and flexible enough so I experience no pain at all. It's the daily care that counts most. Thanks to you I understand this. Thank you and hello to MSL as well.
Also the stainless steel spoon-like tool you use helps remove the dead skin that caused me pain in the big toe corners in the first place. I invested in mine from your Amazon store. Simple, clean and effective with no radical nail surgery.
@@suzanne2931hi! I am getting a build up of skin at the nail corners on some of my toes, which can sometimes be painful! Do you think this might help?
I wish there is a nail technician like you in my area. Even though you work and talk/explain at the same time, you are quite fast, efficient and gentle.
I used to visit a salon in my area where they perform dry pedicure and the end result always looked great. However, they convinced me on putting gel polish on my toes which they were removing with the e-file (no soaking).
Eventually, it turned out that my toe nails are over-filed, very thin and with white and red patches. Now I have to live polish free for probably a year to grow out this damaged nails and hopefully without any permanent damage.
I get the discolouration on the nails and I often wear nude, pale and sheers so I’m not sure what causes it and base coat doesn’t stop it. But like you say it’s annoying when you want to go au natural and the nails are stained.
You made her nails and cuticles look amazing even before the gel, such good work every time ❤
That's a good tip about not pushing the cuticle under the proximal nail fold. I hadn't thought about that before, but it makes sense. Also, with regard to yellowing, I find that if I use Blue Cross Cuticle remover over the whole surface of my nails after I take off the polish, it helps with preventing staining, including yellowing.
Hello there :) Blue Cross is very corrosive and I don't recommend using it on the nails to remove stains. It might remove them but it can also damage the nails especially if the nails are prone to damage to begin with.
The yellowing from nitrocellulose runs quite deep.
@@TheSalonLife Oh, wow! Thanks. That's good to know.
I love watching you work. I so want the Erica drill. It looks like it makes quick and satisfying work of clearing dead skin and nail shaping activities. Such a pretty color.
I really love your work. It´s amazing! Thanks a lot for share the entire process. Hi from Aguascalientes, México! ñ.ñ!
I have the nail clippers and use them only on myself. Very easy to use
Hello! Could you do the picture of nail clippers, please?
Is there a technician from romania watching this? @the salon life , I wish you had a school and teach people so we could have a database and find tehnicians like you.
Oh, looks lovely.😍
Hi I’m hoping you will read this and make a recommendation I have an 8 yrs old granddaughter and a 5 year old grandson who bite their nails ….. your channel always has such a healthy bent to it…. Do you have a recommendation that will be safe and healthy…. I would surely appreciate it ❤️
It definitely looked a bit more awkward in that position but a fabulous job, as usual. I have to say I'm not a fan of the 'white' shades, I much prefer a bold colour for toes, but it's a personal preference x
I saw on other channels that yellowing of the nails sometimes is caused from perspiration. I guess depending on what basecoat you wear this can affect how much you perspire similari suppose to deodorant. Some make you perspire more and others do not.
I always fear the red or black nail polish I don't know why 😢when it's fake nail polish they affect ur nails as hell....this is the best satisfying thing ever, seeing u dealin with those nailss
Such precision 👏
Greens stain too! I just had a dark blue-y green on and oh boy, did it stain. My nails don't seem stain at all when I'm wearing a base coat that protects against it but lately I've been foregoing that step because a) it shortens drying time and b) I kinda want stained nails now. I was taught early on to embrace the yellowing and seeing my nails stained now feels like a badge of honor. I do wonder if the pigments once ingrained in the nail surface yellows in response to the "outside" environment like soap or uv rays. Or it could just appear less yellow at first because the pink of the nail bed covers it slightly. So many questions, so much science to learn!
Thank u 💓 💗
Thank you for sharing. Do you still do pedicure videos?
They are difficult to film but I'm planning on filming more. :)

HI! do you have any advice for some of the excess skin that grows beneath the toenail? i dont know how to explain it but it happens at the front of the toes right beneath where the toenail sits and sometimes i can peel it off. It seems to grow back, however
Since vinylux doesn’t require a base coat, does that cause more staining/yellowing? Can you wear a base coat with vinylux to prevent this from happening?
Hello Karen, here I used Green Flash gel polish from Manucurist :)
wonder if the base/polishes formulation has formaldehyde in it and that causes staining of yellows? usually if i have yellowing , a buffer block takes care of it. wasnt a fan of the polish though, streaky :( beautiful color and job though, perfection!!!! I wish my nail beds were that size--- i have to grow mine out just to have enough room to have something to paint 🤣
Formaldehyde does not cause yellowing of the nails. Formaldehyde is actually a gas and it has never been in nail polishes. Instead some hardening treatments (very rarely now) contain formalin which is formaldehyde mixed in water creating a different chemical with different properties called: formalin or methylene glycol.
Some polishes have formaldehyde resin and I know it has formaldehyde in its name but this is not actually formaldehyde. Just like water and watermelon. One you can actually drown in and the other is a fruit and you don’t have to worry about drowning lol. Both have the word water in it but they are different thing.
Buffing removes layers of the nails especially if you buff deep to remove yellowing (that is deep)
Nitrocellulose can cause yellowing

What’s the name of this polish? Very attractive!
Hello :). All the info is in the description box below the video :)
Hi Anna, are you doing your own pedicure? Are you using similar technique as with manicure? I find it very challenging the way I do it :(
Hi Kate, Anna does her own pedicures. We have content on our Patreon showing how she does her own pedicures. In case you are interested I will leave you a link to our page. www.patreon.com/TheSalonLife Thanks so much! - MSL
