How to Correctly Prep a Brand New Acrylic Brush

I am asked by so many people how to prep an Acrylic Brush and I’ve just launched my new Acrylic Brushes so here’s how.
I’ve got two brushed, Mr Buttons and Oscar the Wild and they’re both pinched brushes. New brushes come with a sealant to protect the bristles in transport.
To remove the sealant, I’ll start with gently breaking the seal and lightly flicking out the sealant as much as possible, this might take about 5 minutes. You can use the cleaning brush from our e-file collection with your hand to run through the acrylic brush too. Once I’ve got as much out as possible I’m going to pop some monomer and acetone into a dish and I’ll saturate the brush and wipe it out until it’s clean. I’ll change out my liquid for monomer and test my brush, if there’s no particles in the liquid then it’s clean.

I'm amazed by the nail world. Nails come such a long way. These are not just nail technicians they are true artists. This is art. Part of me gets upset whenever I see a woman get her nails removed and then they're just thrown away?! Those are little pieces of artwork! Kirsty is the real deal and I'd love to see her other artwork like on a canvas or maybe a sculpture?

OMG I did not prep my brushes and it was not releasing the bead I thought my brushes were not good quality so I bought another brush and prepped it correctly lol thank you for this I am a beginner to acrylic

Thank you for going over this. I've seen so many reviews on acrylic brushes that say the product immediately sticks to the brush. Well duh! Because you didn't clean it first! Some people lol. Anyway, thank you again for going over this!

The brushes are beautiful love the colors and that they have lids. So there made out of hair how neat. Is the ones made out of hair better? Cause I've seen so many different types don't know which one to use. Thank you so much for this video. I do have a question. I have a rounded brush its not pinched. It is from notpolish. Can I pinch it on my own? I definitely want your brushes but don't have the money for it right now. But I definitely want all you brushes and products. Your channel was my first ever nail channel that I ever watched. There are tools out there that can be used but I wouldn't recommend using as this could damage your brush. thanks 🥰

Should I do this with my replacement wide paddle brushes? My polishes came with a horrible thin brush and the wide paddle replacement brush feels stiff

Why is my brush so dry? I clean it very well after using is but it is always dry when I go to use it again. I’m just a nail lover so please be kind 😆

I made the decision after buying your brush collection, nail file collection including metal straight file, replacement file collection including board and clean up solution, that I was going to purchase a Mr Buttons brush but they are sold out or not on the website anymore already and Oscar the wild isn’t on there either 🥲 are they going to come back in stock soon or were they limited edition? Really want them as my acrylic work seems more precise than my gel xx So impressed with my other buys though and delivery was very quick, due to my new grand baby arriving at the same time as my package though I haven’t managed to use them yet, however I have looked at them all and begun the prep process, this video is on loop at the moment 😂😂 love you Kirsty thank you for the time you take to educate us all and thank you to Adam and the team for supporting all us newbies, learners and professionals that want some inspiration and advice by doing an amazing job of filming, editing and answering questions! you are all fab xx
