Thank you so much!!! It was just what i needed ♡♡♡ Recently I noticed my favourite brush has cured gel on it (it doesn't have a cap so it may have cured with indirect sunlight or my desk lamp). It was a mess, I didn't know what to do. I ended up using acetone and monomer to get rid of the cured gel but now it's not the same. I'm going to try that hot water trick you mentioned and I'll stay away from brushed without cap from now on 😂
10:08 The term "brush conditioner" comes to mind. I'm an artist, we also do this to high quality brushes before the 1st use, and after every cleaning to retain the intended brush shape/bristle behavior!
Thank you sooo much. I have learned soo much from you about brush storage and ways to keep your brush looking healthy. I have changed all my uncapped gel brushes to capped.
I do the same thing with my brushes. I take a brush from a nail polish bottle and use that as a nail art brush. They work great and I been doing all my nail art with them
An absolutely amazing video! Thank you so VERY very much! You really inspire me! Thank you for all your support and encouragement! Kindest regards and best wishes God bless Rita G xxxxx
Thank you these tips were really helpful. Also, I notice that when I pick up gel the drop is really not at the end of the brush but somewhere down and there is a teeny tiny bit of bristle on top so I have to keep the brush flat to draw instead of pointy
Thank you so much!!!!! I have only been doing nail art for a few years, and I don't do much free hand at all for one I have no skill lol but mostly because I end up in a fight with my brush lol. I actually do have one that looks like a troll doll lol can't wait to try your tips!!TFS!!!♡♡♡
I’m so glad I’m at this part in your videos, Liz! I’ve invested a lot in LE products, including detail brushes. As I start practicing my designs, I really want to protect my investment. I’m a diy’r considering getting licensed for knowledge. Thank you!!
Thank you. I have definitely messed up a few brushes by trying to trim them myself and the lack of knowing how to care for them. Luckily they were inexpensive cause I couldn't afford the more expensive ones 🤑😂
Very interesting. Love the fact that you always explain why of everything so it's just not something you "have to do" there is a reason for it, and that makes learning a lot easier. Thank you so much for your videos. P. S. Can you tell how you make you cleanser? Thanks.
Ohhhh! So glad you are at the nail art stage, I can't wait to see what's in store next week! I have 3 art brushes so far (gotta start somewhere!) and it'd be great to know what to use them for to get the best out of them. I bought Line It! and a couple of gelplay gels by Akzentz and have been experimenting with animal print and flowers, but even with the L.E. dot I'm experiencing curing problems so having some advice on technique and the best gels for the job will be invaluable. I'm a new tech and still at the super early stages with everything (I took the plunge back in August, partly because of your channel and your supportive and thorough tutorials - I just woke up one day and thought, why not? I can do this!). Thanks Liz X
@@TheNailHub thanks good point. As I say I'm an artist not a nail tech. So all info is helpful when learning a new medium . Learning a lot. Thanks so much
Does the "gel" work with no problems in painting on canvas or "warhammer" type miniatures??? I would like to use this "gel" on my extreme detail brushes that I use when painting miniatures, or does this gel only work with "nail art type acrylics"! It would be great if I could use this on my detail brushes for miniatures, then use my acrylics by the company called "Golden" or "liquitex" - I just want to know there are NO ADVERSE effects, if I were to use "artist acrylics" -- the kind used on canvases and all kinds of miniatures!? What do you think??
I think you have mentioned this before, but do you prefer synthetic or non synthetic bristles? and does it make a difference with line work? thank you 😊

What a great idea for a video! I’ve ruined many brushes in the years I’ve been doing my own nails. Thanks so much!

Omgg the gel tip! Tyyy!
Great video. I recently brought some cheaper nail art brushes so I’m glad to have these tips. I’m excited for this series.
Can you let me know which video you have for strip work.. Oh thanks so much for the brush info.. Lol I've been doing it wrong all this time
She said its coming nexr
Great video as always!
Excellent Video!!!! Thank you 😊
Great tips,thankyou😊
Love this, very informative 💖
What kind of gel is it. Where do you get it.
As an artist all my brushes I use a bar of soap to shape and store brushes. It will prob work for nail art brushes too.
I would not recommend using soap as it will interact with the gel. Best thing to use is nail gel and keep them away from light. :)

If I don’t have nippers, can I use the nail clippers?
Thanks Liz!! Question, should I be doing this with the brush I use for polygel? Keeping some product in the brush, my brushes are a fluffy mess
Can't speak for polygel. sorry. I'm not a fan of it...
@@TheNailHub it's easiest for me to work with, thanks for taking the time to reply tho
Thank you it is very helpfull 💖💅
Are you using nail hardener?

What do you think??
Great information!!!
Hello. I have such brushes and I can not use them. It is very rough, how can I soften them?
Spent 200 on brushes like 3 months ago 😭 no but I love them they are from presto
Omg i just bought the kokoist brush set😭
How can I get help with nail school
I think you have mentioned this before, but do you prefer synthetic or non synthetic bristles? and does it make a difference with line work? thank you 😊
I use both and like both. Really just personal preference. I don't notice a large difference when painting. They just feel slightly different.
Can I use those kind of brushes for regular nail polish?? Won't the bristles get hard??
No they won’t. I use these brushes with regular polishes, just put a little acetone to soften them before uses.
What kind of hair do they used to make these brushes?
It depends on the brand. Some are synthetic and some are different types of animal hair. I’ve even seen human hair brushes.
what's a gel cleaner?
I would like to know this too!
wow
Hi... What camera are you filming with?
Panasonic FZ1000.
9:06 is that gel polish?
It is a potted base coat gel.
Second!!!
They call it resin that's in the brush. :)
We have to cure brush for some second or not
Am I the only one watching for D&D miniatures instead of nails?
Thirdd!!
