Fantastic lesson 🙏🏻 I have had a sitar for a few weeks now and have learnt how to tune and change string etc , been using 1 finger for learning the scale , I took off the second string as keep catching it

Namaste Gurji. I have a Sitar made by the great craftsman late Hiren Roy. He made it for me many years ago. After a lot of requesting he agreed to make one for me. I had to wait for more than three years before he finally made one for me. Today it needs the "Opening of the Jawari." Hiren da is no more but I was told his son still does this work. I rang him up as I live in Mumbai but he said he does not come to Mumbai. So I am now with a poor sounding Sitar though it is made by one of the best Sitar makers. Could you please guide me how I can solve this problem? I do not wish to go to music shops here in Mumbai since this sitar is very precious. Also I like how your Sitar sounds, simply superb. Do you come to Mumbai? I would like to meet you to pay my respects. My Naman to you Guruji. Sudhir Shah.
Thank you sir for your valuable videos. I have a doubt on the set up of right hand fingers while stroking. Whether all the fingers of right hand should be joined together or they can be separated while stroking.

Sir Could you please tell in which scales all the strings should be tuned? When and which strings scales should be changed? When striking the two strings main string is sounding ok but 2nd string sound is sustaining for a long time. Kindly guide us how to tune the sitar. Thank you
