When he hip checks you, you can block for small damage and hit his legs to get him down or you stay on his left side far enough and he won't hit you and you can attack him. If he uses his tail whip block or try to get under him. It's easier as you think. The mobility of sns helps a lot.
@@doomscyte1087 if you are in training with sns you will see the moments for hits and which attack let hit his weak spots or tail. You study the attacks without knowing it.
@@waterlenon1809 The Piscine Liver quest is doable if you use a Hammer because Fish Wyverns don't like loud sounds. I just take that quest just to exhaust all my Dragon Seeds to craft Power Extracts.

@@brotbrotsen1100 I would only do it if you're addicted to Monster Hunter and a bit of a masochist honestly, I played up to mid high rank solo until the grind got to me and I found HunsterVerse that let's you play the MHF & MHFU multiplayers through a PSP emulator, then it went back to being a good bit of fun even if it was still clunky as hell and I even found a guy to do the treasure hunting with me
I'm just infinitely thankful that this game did so well that it's spawned so many beloved games even up till today. Been playing every version since MHF2 and still loving it. MHR PSYCHE

Why am I still here, just to suffer... Every night, I can feel the vespoids, genpreys, even bullfangoes... The quests I've lost... the powderstones I've thrown... won't fade away from memories... It's like they're all still fresh... you feel it too... don't you?
Well that's how modern games for everyone. But I'm not gonna complain since MHW/I provide me with many things that I can use and do for solo hunting. Just like how Snake Eater felt like a different game when compared to MGS1.
The eggs in the desert are worse for me. The genpreys and their jump attacks let me rage. Every time I was close to the camp and then one of them jumps 20 meters and gets me...
It's already hard enough to deliver an egg with a Great Jaggi/Velocidrome (or any other same types of monster) in other MH Games but friggin putting Gravios and not only one, not two, but THREE Bullfangos at once is already living in hell. xD
I started playing mh freedom the 1s time. I beat this mission today and I raged 2 hours. The egg mission and the powder stone mission in the guild hall are a nightmare alone.

Man I forgot how the old school rathalos armor was so much cooler. rest of the game can fuckin blow me though, Yian Garuga special assignment still haunts me somewhat even after figuring out you could just wait out the quest timer and get free loot
I hate these quests. I raged so hard doing them. I had to do a break every time after beating 1 of the transport quests... I realised what a great help a felyne can be during these quests. Alone I got Hit so fast and running back then is so annoying... The best is to restart the quest when the time runs out... The velocipreys with their 50 miles jump hits...
They're actually really easy once you get the trick for them. For any egg quest that's not in the desert, you can clear a path by killing all the monsters in all the areas. If they respawn then kill them a few more times and they won't spawn anymore. For the desert, just kill the apceros in the cave, then hug the wall of the desert so you're not noticed by rathian or the cephalos. Literally that easy.
@@jotarokujo5538 i did it, but i am not sure if the genpreys stop it. The apceros stay dead after 2 times and the genpreys in the desert does, but in the last area in 1, they respawn like the bullfangos in the areas at the volcano. Their 5 metres jump Attack is the only problem in the end
@@florianp1283 You have to walk-run in a zig-zag pattern, but you also need to time that very well. If you zig-zag too often, you are still kinda walking in only 1 direction, which makes you an easier target for long-ranged attacks like genprey jumping or bullfango charging. If you zig-zag too slowly instead, right after one zig or zag the monsters have enough time to aim their attack and then to perform the attack, hitting you before you change direction again. It's best to sprint for 1,5 seconds, then walk while changing direction. This saves your stamina from running out too fast. Also you only needed a bitterbug + honey to combine into a catalyst, which combines with a rare steak to make a sprinting potion which gives you 2.5 minutes iirc of unlimited stamina. It's very easy to obtain these items so making and carrying up to 5 power juices (sprinting potion) is no problem. That's what I like about the older games of the series. You were not a powerful hunter with many resources and cool moves, instead the world felt hostile, alien and barren and you had to do everything yourself. And as you see, there were many possible approaches to this gathering quest problem. You could prepare beforehand or just bull-rush it, didn't really matter because each approach cost a similar amount of time.
I played lance in 3u and 4u. Now I started playing freedom 1 and I switched to sword and shield after the 1st 3 greater monsters. Lance is to slow for the endless smaller monster around me. With sword and shield it's easier
How about that one quest in 3U where you have to get a delivery item from ACROSS THE ENTIRE MAP so you’re passing through a good seven or eight areas(there’s one shortcut but you can’t take it because if you do the damn powder stone will break)? So you make an incredibly long trip while losing health while dealing with Melynx, rhenoplos, bnahabra, and a rogue Uragaan that may or may not show up.
Ah yes, I still have nightmares with wyvern eggs to this day. As for the herbivore eggs, you can actually kill the monsters inside that area (the "herbivores"), they will only respawn once
The diablos in the areas and the genpreys on the ways are a nightmare on the way to the camp. I hate them. Did it a few days ago and it took like 30 attempts and hours of rage for me
I still remember my brothers throwing their controllers to the wall, rage quitting for a day after failing to deliver those damn eggs. It's nice that the egg delivery quests in MHW are easier when the camps near the eggs are unlocked.
That was funny, my 1st mh game was tri. I bought a wii solely for that game soon as Tri came out. Same with the ps4 and Monster Hunter World. Im currently playing generations ultimate on switch and im waiting for rise.
Isn't that the most fucked up part, they used to demand 90% of your entire being for those quests, you have the delivery quest nowadays you have hunters walking around like they got that fucking thing on them LOL. Just started my first playthrough of this game. I've only ever played half of MHFU and most of MHW. I have the Freedom 1 version so I should be able to make it to Lao Shan and Fatalis despite no online servers I hope

After playing Freedom Unite's g rank alone to the end. I'm not going backwards anymore I've learnt my lesson. I will sit here with my barrage piercing and play big game huntin simulator with the kirin instead.
The weird thing is That it is random which offline quest will be your Last. Played the Game like 5 times or so. After monoblos you can either get nothing, diablos, khezu or gravios and deliver 3 eggs in volcano. There is prob more I just Never got how the game decided which one you will get.
im not sure about MHF1 but in MH1 its **not** random the quests that you get and you can unlock them all with the same character. For instance, in order for you unlock the Khezu quest you have to craft at least one piece of Vespoid armor.

MH1 gave me severe trauma for egg delivery quests even on the later games when it is much easier to do.

This was my first PSP game. I want so desperately to replay it, I really do; but for the life of me I refuse to redo the Piscine Livers quest. It is simply too much for me.
The first time I tried killing one of the oversized hermit crabs, those stupid desert dinosaurs I think they are called genprey kept paralyzing me I hate them

The weird thing is That it is random which offline quest will be your Last. Played the Game like 5 times or so.
After monoblos you can either get nothing, diablos, khezu or gravios and deliver 3 eggs in volcano. There is prob more I just Never got how the game decided which one you will get.
im not sure about MHF1 but in MH1 its **not** random the quests that you get and you can unlock them all with the same character. For instance, in order for you unlock the Khezu quest you have to craft at least one piece of Vespoid armor.

6 bullfango and 1 gravios... You might as well add 6 vespoids and 6 flying bullfangos to make it even better.
Freedom is like monster hunter 1.5 and came out after 2. True monster hunter 1 is on the ps2 where you use the right stick to attack.
