My review is that this item is way over priced at most outlets. I've owned two, and they both failed at the regulator/knob. They won't simmer and both stoves simply quit working very soon after I bought them. The second one was bought because I figured the first failure was an anomaly, but I think the plastic hardware is just junk. If all you want is to heat water or heat a can of chili, go for it, but I can't account for the early regulator failure. That said, I think Coleman stoves are the most rugged and reliable camping stoves out there, though there are other great kits - and, much lighter. But on the whole - except for this one - you can't beat any of the Coleman white gas single burners, be they old or new. The big suitcase stoves are legendary.
I was hoping to find out it was just my stove that had no low heat setting. Guess not.
Thanks for the review.
