Tinashe does not have low album sales, she is not a signed artist. She has no record label. Her sales are enormously huge for herself, because she keeps 100% profits. Meanwhile the rest of the girls have most of there gains go to their greedy record labels.

Its mentioned in all her interviews and its something that is very acknowledged by the industry now. She is the youngest female engineer with no record label machine behind her. Get use to it.

But Tinashe has very high high sales for an independent artist with absolutely no record label. In the end the profits are all hers to control. I feel like Chloe wants to be liked by the audience and that dictates how her music is going. She tried pop and a lot of ppl complained, so she went to sad rnb music and they hated that, and now she’s trying out Afro/Caribbean beats. I think she’s slowly figuring it out.
I think you’re right about Halle’s identity. But i think it’s because she had a longer time working on solo music (with Disney and acting in the way) while Chloe was quickly making songs/albums back to back.

People projected their views on these girls and got disappointed when they didn’t live up to their projections. That’s not their fault. Halle is a grown woman and had said time and time that’s she’s the “crazy” more “rebellious” sister.
yeah...but the whole "clean girls" image didn't really help either. it was natural for people who didn't keep up with their lives to be shocked when they switch a bit suddenly. it didn't have a "gradual" shift. so for me I was like "woah what??" artistically, the shift was just super random, especially after the ungodly hour visuals + songs. but that's just artistically. i guess in their real lives i shouldn't be surprised at all. usually, a person's artistry says a lot about them as a person (eg: the weeknd with his music and the idol.) but...i guess i shouldn't assume what they show on their work is really how they are.

I love the song! My interpretation of the music video was Halle having different aspects of her personality. And you have to love all parts of her. The sexy part of her, the sweet part of her, and even the crazy part of her. You can’t just want one part of her. You have to have all of her. That’s why her love interest in the music video was scared when Halle in the car started singing because she’s so soft spoken and sweet he’d never expect that out of her. I’d also interpreted it as that with Halle you feel like you’re with a new person everyday.
And as for people **still** treating Chloe and Halle as teeangers/getting upset when they act like grown women go back to the Madonna Whore complex. Or some form of it. They are seen as pure and virtuous but people are constantly being reminded they aren’t. This shows me, people liked how UnGodly Hour sounded sonically without listening to the lyrics of the album, lol.

I think what people mean about not wanting them to curse in their music is that it’s almost unnecessary. If you listen to R&B music from the 2000s the women weren’t really cursing a lot in their songs and the lyrics were less provocative.
There are women in R&B that still make music like that and honestly I prefer it. You don’t have to be so aggressive and explicit all the time.

I knew how Halle was when she did her lives with Chloe. She was always the more fiery one out of the two. People thought Chloe would be the one to start a family first cause of the type of music she makes but Halle has always said she wanted lots of kids so she has to start early 😂in terms of the new song, I didn’t expect it to sound like it does but I like it. I do think this new sound is influenced by DDG cause he has made that kinda dark and moody rap beats before.

Lol, oh! Someone else heard it too! Halles recent song def has a cadence like “Brighter day” and “He Reigns” by Kirk Franklin. It helps with the nostalgia and helps a song to stick more when it has a familiar element, so that was really smart.

I’ve been following Chloe and Halle since their UA-cam covers. I always knew they were going to be stars!! If you’ve been following their careers for a while you’ll know that Chloe’s stage persona aligns more with Halle’s personality and vice versa. Ppl are projecting onto her because she has that sweet, ingenue type face. They marketed themselves how society perceives them.
Ppl are multilayered and it’s okay to express all sides of themselves. This is just a side of Halle that the world is getting introduced to, now that her Disney bag has been secured 😂😂. I don’t feel one way or another. All I know is that I enjoy both their music, and I’ll keep it at that.

I am a huge Halley fan! I’m not going to lie …it took me a minute to get use to the grown Halle. She always represented innocence to me. Since everybody is doing sexual stuff, she balanced it out. I think that’s why people are having such a hard time. I am an unconditional fan so that song grew on me. I think the video concept was very creative.
