they played for almost 3 hours in most of their shows, and would play one show after another with a maximum 3 days break between them, but not even a full 24 hour in most cases. Also, their tour at this time period lasted for more than 2,5 years. Imagine singing like that under those conditions, it was an obvious result, but I don't think he regrets it
When i saw it was live, at first I was worried and wishing you had picked the studio version, but they sounded just as good live! Axl’s voice really is something, and the entire band was killing it as always.
There is another live version from this era, where towards the end the backup singers voices are even more present in the mix and it makes a great finale---dont know which city it was from.
She was born around the time this song came out, she has no understanding before "woke" marxism. She grew up on autotune and rap music stealing music from the 80's and 90's, she has no clue how great life was in the 80's and 90's. About to hit the wall as we said back in the day.
I believe this was the first original song that Guns N' Roses wrote together as a band... but this 1992 performance was without founding guitarist Izzy Stradlin (who quit the band in late 1991) and original drummer Steven Adler (who was fired in 1990)... They got guitarist Gilby Clarke playing Izzy's parts and Matt Sorun on drums. This live concert was a snapshot of a young Guns N' Roses at their peak... unfortunately, the band imploded after the tour ended in 1993 and they were never the same again even after 2016 when Slash and Duff McKagan (bass) reunited w/ Axl Rose to tour again.
He's not just a rockstar, he's Axl Rose and he can wear whatever he wants. Think about what Robert Plant, Steven Tyler and Mick Jagger wore onstage. That's how rock stars dress and behave, but he was not high. He stopped using very early on. Axl was a perfectionist and demanded perfection
Great job with your reaction to the live performance of Don't Cry from Guns and Roses from Tokyo. A little bit of music history for you Bisscute this is the first song they wrote as Guns and Roses. One more thing Axl Rose is in the Guinness book of World records for holding the longest note to end a song & It the at end this song.
Yes, Axl gives what he has every night (sometimes he didnt have much and left the pitch in the middle of a concert) but he does try. Yes, they were the biggest band in the world at some point (close with Metallica and of course Nirvana), and this Tokyo concert sounds great.
I was 12 when this was filmed...and absolutely obsessed with everything about this band. The first time I saw Slash perform live in person was a solo Snakepit show in Milwaukee, July, 2001. Sparse crowd. My sister and I ended up mobbing him and touching his arms when he was walking from the autograph table to the makeshift backstage. Met him in November, 2007 at the MOA for his book signing in Minneapolis, MN. My now husband got a picture of him and I shaking hands. I saw Velvet Revolver in January, 2008 at Eagles Vlub Milwaukee, so Duff, Slash, Scott Weiland, and Matt Sorum (and Dave Kushner). Duff gave me his sweat band after the show. We were in the front row and got his attention. Met Duff at his book signing in October, 2011 at MOA. Finally saw GNR July 3, 2016 Soldier Field, Chicago, IL.
The worst part of this video is it ends. You should react to another songs by Guns n Roses Tokyo 1992 like "Sweet Child o Mine", "November Rain", "Civil War"... Guns n Roses live performance is freaking amazing, thank you so much!
Para mi este hombre es el mejor cantante en la historia del rock y punto potencia , energía, genio , una viz moustrosa ,y en si la banda es perfecta ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Axl in his prime was an absolute force. Very insightful comment on the "giving it his all" too. Big reason the concerts were so delayed back then. He wouldn't go on until he felt he was in the proper mindset to give 110% for 2.5 hours. Could take quite a while to get there sometimes. Not that same force of nature these days- but seems a lot happier IMHO- and much more prompt! Lol!
what you said at the end is everything... axl always gave and still gives everything he has... he did everything for his art, for his artistic vision,, for his purpose. i'll be emotional when this legend passes away... what a force of nature...
All right, Biss, a wee bit of a history lesson vis-a-vis men's attire. Before Michael Jordan made the baggy long shorts popular in the early 90s, men's shorts were short. Just look at Maradona running down the soccer field in the 1986 World Cup. And boxers weren't really a thing or as popular as they became. So, I think those were actually shorts, my best guess. 😉💕
Also, you have to take into consideration that in the whole 80s glam rock scene that they came out of, it was the style to wear tight fitting clothes, the spandex, the big hair, etc. that even in that day, were honestly quite effeminate. Even before that, look at the shit Steven Tyler of Aerosmith use to wear. Aerosmith was one of GNRs favorite bands and influences, and early on they toured with them, but Aerosmith has a song called "Dude Looks Like A Lady" for a reason. These very masculine rock stars that believe me, slept with more women then I'm likely to even ever meet in person in my life, but sometimes looked a lot like women. David Bowie was famous for having a very androgynous look. That was a look in those days, and it was supposed to defy societal expectations and piss off the squares. Even going back further than that to the 60s, just a man with long hair wasn't as normalized as it is today. Crosby Stills and Nash had a song called "I Almost Cut My Hair Today". In the counter culture movement of the 60s, a man growing his hair long, was a statement against society and the establishment. It was a sign of rebellion! Besides, Axl runs around on stage a lot. It's tough work! It gets hot and sweaty! Let him dance around in his underwear if he wants!
The only thing bigger than Axyl’s voice was his ego, GNR could have put a lot more great music into the world had he appreciated his band mates and their joint success, rather then being how he was. Although he has lived and learned before it was completely too late.
Not just ego, also serious mental and emotional issues at this time that he was sharing on stage with us. He really shouldn't have been performing in '93 and his bandmates all needed rehab and weren't of much use to anyone.
I remember when the clip came out it featered the late great Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon too. Another great voice that sadly disapeared due to the pressure of fame. R.I.P.
It has a vocal range of five octaves (live only of three and a half octaves) and its characteristic is to be able to easily perform the so-called "register passage", passing from deep and well-projected notes, up to scratched high notes thanks to a great mastery of cry.
This song has a very interesting but sad peculiarity, in the original studio video, Axl recorded it with his friend Shannon Hoon, who passed away in 1995. Since then, Axl said he would no longer sing this song. Only in 2007 in Japan, at the end of the show he surprised everyone by singing it in an acoustic version, reports from band members and the public that Axl was crying while singing. ua-cam.com/video/M8n4ugvd4lA/v-deo.htmlsi=lWcj9x_qcZghLnQ4

Boxers/shorts, Microphone stand: Freddy Mercury. Piano: Elton John. Those are the main influences in songs and when performing. Rest is just Axl Rose being Axl Rose. This show was recorded and distributed/sold officially. Knowing the importance of this show, same with the Paris PPV show, you bet they all are as sober as they could have been during that period. Especially Axl. He's even hitting those high notes when running around. The band was at their prime and beyond here. Axl had a 5 octave vocal range. That's what you're seeing/hearing here and on the records. Hey. Have you checked out Yoshiki and/or X Japan? You definitely should put it on your to-do list. React to Velvet Revolver - Fall to Pieces. You will see some familiar members from Guns and Roses and Scott Weiland from Stone Temple Pilots
i prefer falling to pieces from faith no more...

Love your videos, you really love music❤ I saw more then 6 concerts from them, first time 1993 in munich 🎉.
I honestly prefer the alternate lyrics version of this song, but both are great.
nah
Axl always made the lighting man be focused.. He was running around the stage as he was singing.. I even can't speak when jogging..
You need to react more Guns N Roses in Tokyo... Next do it Rocket Queen
They are Armani made shorts especially for him. They are indeed shorts though..
Hi Miss Bisscute !!! I Only Have one Rock Band to suggest to you today that I Don't Think you have Covered !!!
STYX ( The Grand Illusion ) The Lyrics only seem to Get more Relevant every year !! The Like Button 🔘 has been Illuminated 😁👍👍😎. Always with my Warmest Regards from the Sunshine State of Florida 🇺🇲🌅🌞☀️🏝️. I Hope Germany isn't too cold ❄️ 🥶
Just in my opinion, bisscute first Styx reaction should be 'Renegade'.

Amazing bass
Last true rock gods.
guns n roses pra sempre!! ( forever)
I liked your facial reaction, so i kept replaying the video😂
Form Indonesian 🇮🇩
Axl vocals were great. Slash can play those leads. I am pretty sure Axl has a vocal range like no other in Rock. Maybe comparable to Mariah's vocal range. 😊😊
Hyperbole! Chris Cornell, Tatiana Shmayluk, Floor Jensen, and most of all, Mike Patton all have broader ranges than Axl.
@@Tateorsomethingnope not true
@justinthurman1397 ok? Just not true? No examples? No argument? Just "not true"? How boring.
@justinthurman1397 Axl rose has a 5 octave vocal range. Mike Patton has close to, but not quite 7 octave range.
@@Tateorsomething yep floor amd patton, have a wider range, but they sing in their natural range and only use their full ranges occasionally, while axl actually sings most of the concerts outside his natural range and only on occasion uses his natural singing voice...
and they are not on show since the early 80s...
I LOVE DON'T CRY 🎶💘
Спасибо Иззи и Экслу за супер - песню! 👍🎸🤘
The best react channel on UA-cam! congratulations! keep it up! Hugs from Japan.
AHHHHHH SLASH’s VICTORIA GOLD TOP LES PAUL! THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LP HE HAS!!!!
I hope all your first visualizations are only with the studio versions, which are perfect, the live ones always bring something extra, and it's not always good, but I still support you girl.
