    The only thing that I'm annoyed by with my niro, which has a similar setup, it's that they make you subscribe to use the app for remote start and other things.
    I'm not that picky with the key fob stuff, though. Only having to have it in my pocket and never needing to touch it after that is fine by me.
    I love the acceleration with mine and the responsiveness. I also like that it brakes just by letting off the pedal and using the paddles like you mentioned.
    People get all butt hurt when I mention I have an EV. They automatically think I'm done climate activist. That couldn't be further from the truth. I just like the speed and responsiveness. And it's less maintenance and also saves me on gas since I mainly charge at home, which is much cheaper than gas at the moment.
    Wish I could afford a Teska Plaid. It's the only Tesla I think looks good. The rest look ridiculous imo.

    Congratulations on the Tesla 2024 Model 3 performance!! I will watch all your content about it. That may be my next vehicle in 3 years. They are building a Tesla service station like 5 minutes from my house. My other choices in 3 years are the R3X and Mach-E so we'll see how it goes. I really LOVE my Ioniq 6 for now.

    We just talked about this! Welcome back to the Tesla family. I've had both model 3 and a 2024 Y. You will love driving the 3P, but the larger Y is the only way to go for larger frame people and the much larger hatch area and higher ground and setting position. No Cybertruck! I've had my invite, but they are too high. I will wait for the 20 to 30 thousand price drop or buy a Chevy Silverado EV with the huge battery pack. You will miss the grab bars and the buttons 😊

      Yeah I'm going to certainly miss the buttons, I just like having buttons and knobs turn signal stocks. Yeah I got my invite in January to go through with the cybertruck but I just can't afford that as a single person.

    The Ioniq 5 is a great-looking car. The problem is with everything you cannot see. It is like the PT Cruiser, which I also thought was a great-looking car.

    After owning a Tesla, it is hard to go back to other vehicle makes and their requirements for gaining access to the vehicle. I like walking up to my Model Y with my phone on my belt clip and just open the door. Walk away, and the car automatically locks with a sound you can customize using your own sound file. I also like the vehicle interior overheat protection that keeps the interior nice and cool in this summer heat.

      Yeah that system was nice, except it allowed my vehicle to not be able to lock in my driveway 😂 Also if I was in the living room in my lazy chair or sitting on the couch someone could also get in the Tesla and it would start and drive away with the phone inside 😬 I had to enable PIN to drive to keep from worrying about it being stolen

      @@Crazypostman hadn't thought of that. I park mine inside my garage where I have it set to not lock when home. I noticed at work I have to walk a good 40 to 50 ft away before it locks.

    With regards to the noise etc, so I guess coming to NYC to record a video not gonna happen? We have noise and people. We do not have cattle trucks, though.
    The 2017 Honda Civic I had used to auto-lock after you walked away - 1 beep as you got to the trunk area and then another beep once you got about 15 or so feet away. Yes it has the key fob. But it's not electric, so that's to be expected.
    Ok, back to the video: I'm not going to spoil your ending but I can't wait to hear about your dad's vehicle and your experiences with it.

      And all the farmers love to take the mufflers off their big rigs so they're so loud. Wheat harvest is going full swing around here so lots of big trucks... Haha I'm sure it's going to be quite the experience driving that old explorer probably not worthy for the main channel Maybe I'll put something on my extra channel about the experience 😂

    FWIW, my Tesla actually had phone-as-key issues today 😂. It seems to have trouble every time my iPhone gets a software update. So maybe an Apple problem more than Tesla? Not sure. I just have to restart my iPhone to fix it though, so no biggie.
    As for the Ioniq 5, It was a cool car except for the charging issues. The still-broken AC charge port is unforgivable on Hyundai’s part (should have been recalled) but so is Francis’ inability to fix their BTC chargers. Francis sticking their heads in the ground really makes this car far less usable than it should be in this state.
    When you get your Model 3 and I assume a CCS adapter those chargers will become more available but we still need to keep the pressure on Francis to fix their chargers.

      I remember last time I had a Tesla if the car didn't open If you had an Android phone you could tap your phone to the door pillar to unlock the car and use your phone like an NFC key card. Does Apple support that now or is it still just Android?

    Everytime I get in Jiselle the Ioniq 6, I put her in ipedal (once I start moving) and in Auto steer (or lane centering showing the steering wheel icon). It's a pain but I am getting used to it. I tried using the paddles to break but couldn't get used to it. I also tried Auto braking but sometimes it would not brake or not come to a complete stop so I stopped using it.

    • @edwardk779
      @edwardk779 Місяць тому

      If you are talking about the Auto regen mode, besides choosing what it thinks is the best regen mode, it also maintains the distance to the car in front so you do not over take the car in front of you, but will not bring the car to a stop.

    10:30 What do you use Autohold for? I usually put it in Park to use screen functionality. Does it matter?

    • @Crazypostman
      @Crazypostman  Місяць тому +1

      Autohold is an option where when you come to a complete stop it will hold you at a stop without you having to press the brake portal. You don't need it if you're using ipedal because that holds you how to stop anyway.

      @@Crazypostman Oh okay. Good to know. Thank you. Just fyi. Sometimes, in ipedal, I have to use the brake to stop completely (or paddles but I forget I can use the paddles). I guess that's true of all EVs. Like emergency stop because you are going too fast.

    Where, in Oklahoma, did you find a DCFC that will give you 200 kw? In the 2 years that I have owned my 2022 Ioniq 5 I have never seen that sort of charging rate anywhere, in Oklahoma, Kansas, or Texas, the places I have been with the car.

    I heard tell if you have to replace the 12V battery, you lose the lifetime effeciency data. Jiselle the Ioniq 6 has >3400 miles and 3.9 mi/kwh efficiency since purchased in Jan 2024.

    • @Crazypostman

    That dash looks so fucking cheap like something you would pick up at Walmart for an add on ! That locking and unlocking with the app is TOTAL BS. I can imagine doing that routine up here in "cold Country" when it's -40 below wind chill! LOL . And the HORROR story about battery replacement costing $60K. Some Hyundai are offering a "special deal", you buy a battery for $60k, and they will THROW IN a new Ioniq 5 for FREE!!!! I wouldn't touch one of THESE things with a 20ft pole. I can see why the resale value would be "circling the drain".......
