This is no sissy workout... at least not for me! I'm 73 and enjoyed each set even though a couple of exercises were challenging. Found myself taking a break when needed; so I could stay with you to the end! I was happy when the workout was over; but it was a really good one that is needed and look forward to repeating. Your ques are helpful. Without them, I'd forget to do some things you point out; so I appreciate your instructions. Thanks so much for helping me get more FIT! You're fun to workout with and, in my opinion, are a GREAT instructor ❣

I have been diagnosed osteoporosis and passed through a breast cancer this year . I am 53 and now it's time for me to give the best to my body. Thank you, your exercices are perfect. 💗💗💗
I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis a year ago. I had Severe. Dr told me to take pill that he prescribed. That it. Eat more calcium food. I wanted a natural way. So I ate calcium based food and took calcium pill. Went back to the dr took another dexa scan. It was worst, but it was also on another machine. Found out later you always used the one you started with. so in October I go see a specialist, if she want another scan I'm going back to where I took my first. Didn't know weight bearing exercise would help you, vibration plate or jumping. When I jump I do it on a trampoline. Very active. Didn't like exercise, but now with the help of God. I tried to do something every day. I love your exercise, not to hard for the beginners. Thank you for what you do. Praying and trying in TX to do something everyday.

I did pj for 6 months my knee and hip were so bad but after doing PJ I am fine no pain!! She is great and has lots of workouts! It takes time stuck with it and do what she says Stop if it hurts and take your time to build up! Thank you PJ I am now doing great!!

I just did the work out for the first time today and loved it. I'm 70 and was just diagnosed with full on extensive osteoporosis. Have worked out and done yoga for years which may be why I haven't yet had a fracture. i know I need to give up forward bends and twists and add more strength training in my week. This work out felt great . Thank you so much! I left feeling much more positive about being able to keep living a full life even with this diagnosis. Your empathy and knowledge are such a gift!

Hi Ann, I'm in the same boat as you. Have always excercised, hike and taught Zumba for older active individuals. My dr is not very helpful after waiting until I hit 70 to send me for a bone scan. All he said is that I have to go on Prolia. I'm not sure I want to do that. Just curious as to whether you have chosen to take meds or not. BTW I love this workout and have no problem keeping up.
Maria, I’m working with a naturopath on this as well as an endocrinologist. They both agree that I should up my calcium from food sources to 1200 mg a day and up my low impact cardio and weight training then repeat the scan in 2-3 years. No meds until that point depending on the results at that time. I did PJs osteo program and loved it! Will repeat and increase the weight this time around.

I’ve tried a different workouts for osteopenia and I also had surgery for herniated disk L4-5 . This is the best one , we do a complete conditioning of whole body. You are a great teacher, Thanks a million!

I'm not over 40 (32 yo here) and I don't have osteoporosis. But I do have 2 lumbar herniated disks which require a lot of effort to workout pain-free (specially to prevent post-workout pain). I consider myself at a intermediate level and all I have to say is that you are the only UA-cam fitness instructor that I've come across that provides correct subs for the more "risky" movements. Your workouts allow me to be in shape pain-free and it's a shame that you don't have at least 7 digit number subscribers. Thank you for all you do 💜 P.S - love the timer aswell xD

I am 69 and have done many of your workouts. This was so perfect for today. Had a good workout without feeling exhausted. I had the most trouble with reach out taps during plank. I did some but had to stop that part because it hurt my shoulders.Thank you.

This is a great workout! Just something I noticed (and maybe someone else already commented on this); In the sets that include the wall weights activity, you say "Last set" just before the 3rd round, but then you do a 4th round. I guess the more, the better. Anyway, I love this video.

Hi there! Yes, I have seen changes with women's density through nutrition and exercise. The member's of my osteo-program have seen either changes or they have stayed the same - which is a win too. Since we naturally lose bone as we age to stop that regression and stay the same is as munch as win as going from osteoporosis to osteopenia. However, there are other aspects that also might make it hard for you. Ethnicity, low body weight, small boned. Get a few opinions and take that info that you receive from medical professionals to make the best informed decision for yourself. And also... keep lifting heavy stuff 😘

Would be great to have another of these type of workouts specifically for people with osteoporosis Or osteopenia.You are very good about giving alternate suitable moves in your normal workouts but a full workout like this is great from a psychological point of you.Stops you getting frustrated about moves you can do but are not supposed to do!Nice to do a full workout like the good old days before diagnosis!

I’ve tried a different workouts for osteopenia and I also had surgery for herniated disk L4-5 . This is the best one , we do a complete conditioning of whole body.

Really loved this workout PJ. I didn’t feel like doing something intense and this was just right. Still challenging . I used bands on my legs for single toe tap to amp it up for me. I'm not over 40 (32 yo here) and I don't have osteoporosis. But I do have 2 lumbar herniated disks which require a lot of effort to workout pain-free (specially to prevent post-workout pain). I consider myself at a intermediate level and all I have to say is that you are the only UA-cam fitness instructor that I've come across that provides correct subs for the more "risky" movements. Your workouts allow me to be in shape pain-free and it's a shame that you don't have at least 7 digit number subscribers. Thank you for all you do 💜

I am 69 and have done many of your workouts. This was so perfect for today. Had a good workout without feeling exhausted. I had the most trouble with reach out taps during plank. I did some but had to stop that part because it hurt my shoulders.Thank you.

This is a great workout! Just something I noticed (and maybe someone else already commented on this);
In the sets that include the wall weights activity, you say "Last set" just before the 3rd round, but then you do a 4th round. I guess the more, the better. Anyway, I love this video.

Dear PJ, I just subscribed to your channel. Found your awesome videos after being diagnosed with osteoporosis at age 59. I also have Parkinson's disease, so falling and fracturing something in the future is a grave concern. Thank you for posting so many great workouts that are challenging. Me too...my doc is going to retest in 6 months but said lift heavier like you used too but slowly and up your calcium and we will see again.
Deb listen to Dr.berg who doesn’t recommend calcium cause it can cause clogging in artery,take magnesium instead, just fyi

Hi there! Yes, I have seen changes with women's density through nutrition and exercise. The member's of my osteo-program have seen either changes or they have stayed the same - which is a win too. Since we naturally lose bone as we age to stop that regression and stay the same is as munch as win as going from osteoporosis to osteopenia. However, there are other aspects that also might make it hard for you. Ethnicity, low body weight, small boned. Get a few opinions and take that info that you receive from medical professionals to make the best informed decision for yourself. And also... keep lifting heavy stuff 😘

Hi PJ! I'm new to your workouts and love them! Challenging but appropriate. Second osteopenia dx (20 years ago and 1 yr on biphospate) Now trying to avoid osteoporosis and no rx. Would be great to have another of these type of workouts specifically for people with osteoporosis Or osteopenia.You are very good about giving alternate suitable moves in your normal workouts but a full workout like this is great from a psychological point of you.Stops you getting frustrated about moves you can do but are not supposed to do!Nice to do a full workout like the good old days before diagnosis!
