Yeah, that leapt out at me even though I was only half watching because I suspected the game would be meh. At least they spelled it right on the actual cards
Seeing them use the same artwork and pictures as their lighter 2021 version of Dune (which I have and enjoy!) really gives that feeling of being "cobbled together", as Tom says. "Ok, so we have this artwork / pictures we can use, what else can we do with it that'll be quick to throw together?". Even though I enjoy the Dune game, seeing this really reduces my opinion of GF9. It really feels like they're trying to milk as much as possible from the IP. And then what will they do when the 2nd movie comes out? I expect more milking. I'm all for companies putting out great products and making money while they do so! But don't make it feel like an icky cash-grab while you're at it.
@@RodemanSP unlike quest where they neutered his intended ruleset leading him to post on bgg with a much preferable ruleset making the game good again I assume this design was not too messed with by the publisher
@@thomasray Yes. Secret Hitler replaced Resistance and Avalon and others for me. Secret Hitler is the best social deduction game I've played, although I have not played Blood on the Clocktower.
Now it's time to review the classic Dune boardgame
That doesn't say noble like a person with a title. That says Nobel like the name.
I'd expect them to catch typos on their reference cards.
Yep, hard pass on any game with that level of failed proofreading.

There is a single misspelled word on player aids. An unforgivable sin.

Seems like I dodged a bullet today when I decided to not buy this!
I don't think you did. My group likes the game, and it's a fresh take on social deduction games.
I kinda wish this wasn’t Dune themed. Might be easier to market to some people otherwise. I like Dune, but would have preferred an original theme.
Note it's made by the legend himself don E. Of resistance fame!
Makes sense. It sounds like Resistance but with more steps.

@@DoppelgangerF02 nice! I didn’t know that was available. Thanks!
I really hate the curve design "Name" on the Identity cards.... Look very "clownish" and not elegant and sleek, like in DUNE theme.
Now DUNE Imperium??
SPECTACULAR game.
Bummer. I was hoping this might replace Secret Hitler.
Look to Feed the Kraken to replace Secret Hitler
Have you played Avalon?

@@DarthEd77 I love Avalon. I need to play Secret Hitler more before I actually have an opinion on it.
Poorly designed game. Trying to capitalise on hype related to film. Real shame.
Have you played it?
